I feel like a family member has died and to be fair a something has died today, maybe not a family member but an entire family has just died.
This has been and probably will be my only experience with an MMO and to be fair i cant see anything ever replacing it and don't think i will go looking for one.
A part of me died with this news, I really hope it wasn't that out of the blue for you and it was your job as well as probably a hobby.
Thanks for everything you have done Zwill and i will be all of you.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this game what it was, without your amazing team none of this would of been possible, for us player we have lost the game but for your team you are losing a lot more.

Bringing racial issues into this is the rubbish, and frankly is minimising the serious issues of racial discrimation.
But yes your above example about still discrimation,
If you were in the EU playing a US account, you wouldn't be affected. No as you don't have an EU account and can not be effect by the merge.
If you were in the US playing an EU account, you would be affected. If someone has the same Global name on the US server then yes you would.
You are still be discrimation on where which server you log onto, which is cover in the above EU directive.
Something like amount of vet time gain as people have mention would not be discrimation as you ca not say where the people would be affected, as it would be over both server, thus both sets of players are been treat equality. -

Well, that is part of the problem: a lot of us Euros (like, all of us) think that it is unfair that Europeans automatically lose the battle for their globals, just because we're from the other side of the pond. The criterion "not NA" is by every definition of the word unfair. I would be surprised if any other scheme would cause as many paying customers to consider themselves unfairly treated.

I would also like to point out that the EU have an EU anti discrimination law (Council Directive 2000/43/EC of 29 June 2000 implementing the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of racial or ethnic origin : also called the "Race Directive)
Therefore my question is as we (ie EU players) are been discrimination on are racial origin, does that mean NCsoft will be in contradiction with EU law?? -
After playing for well over 5 years without letting my account lapse, you are telling me I could lose my Global name, to someone that may not be playing the game anymore, is quite franky disgusting. I will be appauled if that happens, talk about how to annoy your loyal userbase in the EU in one nice easy move.
So what do we get back in return, the offer to play on other servers, WOW thats nice of NCsoft. Most EU players will still probably have free slots on the server that they mostly play on and why do there play on that server. It's because there have in-game friends on that server and people will recognises them. Thus the extra servers are nothing in my opinion.
I have a Feeling if this goes ahead, then a lot of the Old EU player may quit for good, as I am thinking of doing that if these changes come about.
PS I don't normally bother with the boards as I get annoyed with my dylexica and messages like that take me an age to write, so u can work out how annoyed I am from that. -
OK quick qustion got a Ice blaster with the 2 ice hold, should a be a member of the hold team or a general team.
