Nope - "but good" is a definite American colloquialism being used here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Say what? I'm American, and I've never, ever heard anyone say that, ever

    [/ QUOTE ]

For example, Google "[censored] but good", complete with quote marks. 1,060 hits; 9 of the first 10 employ the idiom. If I am inadvertently filtered the first word in the quotes also means "donkeys".
  2. Trivial one in 25-30 Mutation, just for a change. I notice a big difference between the arcs which just have the ordinary sorts of mistakes anyone might make in and the arcs written by some unknown X who has no clue about punctuation.

If anyone official is reading this (aha) they might want to find X and start proofreading their work.
  3. Did I say two? I meant a veritable untapped fountain of typos. I'm starting to suspect the same person wrote Lansdale and Bocor - the scattergun commas are very familiar.
  4. Nope - "but good" is a definite American colloquialism being used here.

Back after a hiatus, and what do we have? Two more Lansdale typos.
  5. Got Tyrant, and another apostrophe.
  6. Further browsing on the rich typo fields of Mr Bocor.
  7. Focused Accuracy; description has a redundancy.
  8. And one for Thugs in the character creator.
  9. A couple of typos from Hellions in Galaxy.
  10. Added the Thugs.

That's a bit harsh but certainly someone who did a lot of CoV never learned about the apostrophe.
  11. Another typo from Lansdale, and 3D Sound apparently has "Dopler".

Bridger - or anyone - can you confirm that anyone at Cryptic or NCSoft will ever read this list? The state of Phalanxer does not inspire confidence.
  12. Fresh new issue, fresh new typo from a Skulls Girlfriend.

Guess what, Phalanxer isn't fixed. Someone does read these items... right?
  13. You'd hope so, but then /bugging Phalanxer in issue 3 - more than a year ago - hasn't got it fixed. Part of the problem with /bugging, therefore, is that I don't know if I've already /bugged the same typo.

Sure, these aren't stability issues, but 90% of these could be fixed in a minute each - plus, I guess, a minute interacting with a source code control system.

    Added the Terra Volta bombs.

Brimmy's comments illustrate, I'm afraid, why I gently encourage reporting a typo when spotted with a direct quote rather than from memory. Do those Skulls really say "oh no its -heroname-" - missing the capital, comma, apostrophe, and full stop? Do they actually say "-heroname-" with hyphens? We want to make it easy for some QA guy to grep for the error.

Any idea where that plaque is?
  14. Agent Six's camera and the Ghost Ship. I just hope someone actually reads these...
  15. Bounce Back inspiration.
  16. Seer Marino and Citadel.
  17. Vahz dialogue in Faultline, and a mission text goof for 15-19 Mutant.
  18. Added "already" ... "currently", "string", and Infernal's name in Founders' Falls.
  19. Um. Why do you feel that's a typo?
  20. Pinned down the "Archon Archon Maurillo" problem.
  21. Think I may have to await a direct quote on the Pantheon one. I'll check out these guys in Atlas - I always start in Galaxy.

Added the Longbow one and the Arachnos bots. I presume Galvanised is a power?

Added a few of my own from just an hour's play. I despair gently of the magnitude of the task.

K - yes, I report typos and they don't often get fixed - my personal record is Phalanxer from issue 3 - but I hope if we assemble a sufficient list, someone may actually refer to it when producing patches.
  22. Do they really? I've never seen that, although perhaps I just missed it. Do you play with the profanity filter on (wondering if it ties into NPC dialogue)?

Under what circumstances do you see this dialogue? I'm curious now.

[I know there's the odd "freaking" out there, but we just have to live with that - well, it'd be nice if the profanity filter _did_ tie into NPC dialogue, so with it off the NPCs would say what we all read it as anyway.]
  23. In fact, someone who worked on CoV contacts simply has no idea about "its" and "it's". Cryptic do employ a proofreader... right?
  24. Few more including a double helping in one Bocor briefing. In fact, Bocor's a rich vein of goofs just waiting to be tapped.
