US residents only (takes me out), random winner ... ends 11:59 PM on Sunday, August 15th, 2010.

Very hard not to appreciate the coloring job on one of the weirdest piece you have gotten ... it just takes the piece to another level!
-
Very nice, great piece. And, since I love my creatures ... I have to say that Spikey Turtle is a very fine example ... I love the concept!
-

Three really nice ones there Kat ... I think the milk one could look a specialy fabulous with some very bold colors to have that white milk stand out. But as always I am sure these will turn out great!
Keep it up -
Agreed ... it did need to be.
I had to pause to make sure it was a screenshot
Nice one! -
Quote:As I mentionned on DA ... great job with all the pointy things going out in all directionsNumber 2!

Good job! -
Lots of fun and full of style! Keep it up =)

this is just my opinion ... but I say ...
- the new page 1,
- the first two panels of page 3 at the top of page 2 (instead of the 2 characters rushing at each other) the big punch (already on page 2) below it, and
- then the hanging limp image of page 3 on page 3 ...
and that's it (the big punch in the face isn't really necessary imo). -
Quote:this is the "wrong wiki" but it has a good writeupOk I feel really stupid for asking this, how do I take pictures in game? I used to remember how to do it but I honesly forgot and when I try to look it up on paragonwiki it doesn't come up with anything. I also just made me a photobucket account so how would I transfer my pictures from ingame to that account to here.
Sorry again about all of this.

The sticky at the top of this forum called Guides and Resources for Artists & Art Lovers by Red is where I found that link and it has more useful info.
Basically,
- by hitting that screenshot button on your keyboard, it will put a .jpg of your screen (without the ui) in the C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\screenshots folder of your computer (for a PC)
- Go to your photobucket account and upload the desired file by selecting it in that folder
- Once saved there will be an adress that will allow you to refer to that image right under that image in photobucket (something like http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/blabla/album/image01.jpg )
- once you have that link you can do one of three things
- simply paste it in your post
- use the [ img ] (without spaces) tag to display the image directly ex. [ img ]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/blabla/album/image01.jpg[ /img ] (again ... no spaces)
- combine the [ url ] and [ img ] to show an image but allow people to click on it to bring them to a larger version or some other web page. Ex. [ url=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/blabla/album/image01_larger.jpg ][ img ]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v514/blabla/album/image01_small.jpg[ /img ][ /url ] (again ... you got it ... no spaces)
I hope that helps. -
Thornster is always ready and willing
you can find his refs here
or if you would prefer to give Blackthorn a try then his refs are here
and as always they both have full pages with refs and all on their respective page on my character site found in my sig. -
Quote:Well I think it is the two characters "noticing/sizing" each other before the "call out" in the next panel.it's great but there does something title or as decoration on the top of page 1?
This seems a bit empty, everything else is perfect but these two little characters make me weird ...
a colored background and some lighting should fill the void you feel in that part. imho. -
If you want something different, you are always welcome to give Thornster a try
Refs here
-
He probably plays at a higher resolution than you do ... screenies are proportionnal to that. I played at 1680x1050 for a while ... I think I play at a higher resolution than that now.
-
Congratulations to all ... especially to the top 3. These are always fun to follow. Keep it up guys!

Quote:Yes I am refering to screenshots through the game and they have to be kinda recent (i.e probably in the last year I would guess) and this may be a Vista feature ... not sure.I'm thinking he means when you take a screenshot through the game? Something I don't think ever quite worked for me...
Edit: actually I have screenshots from March 2009 (VexXxa's interview for the Scoop) and some that go back to November 2008 that have that info. So it goes quite a while back. If you browse your folder (in Vista) under a "Details" view, when you see stuff in the "Tags" column, it has the info in the comments.
Edit2: I do get the name of my character in there even when I am solo. -
Side note: if you look at the properties of a screenshot on the details tab, in comments you have a list of the party members at the time of the screenshot. Very useful when you just can't quite remember the name.

(hmmm ... could have sworn I had posted this ... oh well, here it goes again)
Here is a new commission by John Becaro. I asked him to give me something different. I found I had a lot of pieces of Thornster posing. So I wanted something where something was "happening". He chose to have him jumping (through the city or on you ... your pick) in his "street clothes". He is probably travelling through Steel Cayon in his "scientist/relaxed" look, which is totally normal since the Hellions don't impress him as much as they used to
-
Not sure yet so put me as an alt ... if I do show up it would be on Night Siren 41 Corr (Sonic/Ice)
-
1. JohnnyKat
2. Juggertha
3. Lousy Day -
Thank you. I try to keep it alive ... I should make the effort to do more concept pieces instead of simple poses ... I think I have done the pose thing =) I may look into that.

Great work Crest! Nice to see your work again
