And it is now 10:40 EDT and the servers have been brought down again! I have remained silent concerning all the game crashes that began after I updated to 20.5 (and never had to deal with previously), but this is getting ridiculous and I'm growing very angry.
I'm betting this downtime is related to the fact that I would try to zone into a door mish and the game would never load the map. This went of for nearly 2 hours of my repeatedly trying different things. At best, I would leave it for 5-10 minutes and would be kicked out to the city area again with an error message that the map failed to load (duh). More often the game simply froze at the map loading screen and I would be forced to task manager out of it. What the Fudge!??!
I'd have been much happier continuing with I20.0 until it was as stable as most previous releases have been. Add to these issues the fact this is a 2XP weekend and it becomes completely unacceptable. NC needs to step up and offer a make-up 2XP weekend so that players can actually enjoy it for what it's supposed to be rather than dealing with constant down time and crashes. I know NC did it once before a few years back because of massive issues during a 2XP weekned. Hopefully they'll step up this time as well.
