  1. Is there a command to individually set transparency for the windows? I know that Chat and Nav can be done in Options, but I'd like to change the Target one.
  2. How about adding the forum-specific jargon, like /jranger or tl;dr?

    It's not complex at all, just an extension of the existing system. If an account has been inactive for years, I don't see why the names on it shouldn't become unreserved at some point.

    I think a "one level, one month" policy would satisfy both the desire to extend the system to higher-level abandoned names and the need for a simple rule that all players can figure out in their heads. Seriously, can you determine in 5 seconds or less how long it would take for an L19 to be unreserved under your system?

    [/ QUOTE ]Sure, level/2 is roughly the number of months, so 10.5 months. Obviously, I know months aren't exactly 30 days long, but the billing cycles are 30 days, right? Your proposed system is just double the time of the one I suggested, but it's not really simpler unless someone has trouble dividing by two. The actual number of days doesn't matter anyway, the idea of using a scaling system is the same.

    Why not just run it as a scaling system?
    Level 6 keeps your name safe for 90 inactive days, and just make it 15 more days per level from there.

    6 = 90
    7 = 105
    8 = 120
    ...
    50 = 750 (a little over 2 years)

    Why go with an overly complicated system?

    So what you're saying is, "Math is hard!"?

    i find a thesaurus is the best tool.

    Any word you have to hunt for in a thesaurus is the wrong word. There are no exceptions to this rule.

    As to the all caps thing, it fits in a few situations where the character's name is an acronym or such. Characters in comics don't have floaty names, and the other characters don't address them in all caps. It just looks lame, like you have some kind of insecurity issue. All lowercase gives the impression that you're careless and lazy. Alternating caps is just juvenile. Being able to handle the shift key properly at least shows that you put a little thought into what you were doing.

  7. As an addendum to the guide, you should note that anyone using random punctuation, stray letters or numbers, ALL CAPS, all lowercase, or AlTeRnAtInG cApS should report to their kitchen, get an icepick, and drive it into their eyes. It's only fair, since they're inflicting an eyesore on all the rest of us.

    Luckily there's a name checking feature now, so you don't necessarily have to do the delete and remake trick. One odd thing about it, though... it's greyed out if you have no characters on a particular server. I just went through and made one called "Namechecker" on every server where I didn't have characters.
