  1. Too funny, Caemgen. Cowgirls are sexy but spurs are an acquired taste.

Vex, it's always fun to look through your collection, and your Shuler is one of my favorites. I hope to see more additions to the gallery soon!
  2. *offers scritches to Amerikatt* Thank you! I can't resist a purring kitty.

Foo, I really, really like the Art Nouveau look to Belladonna. It works very well for the character, and I'm a big fan of the style. Well done.
  3. Welcome to the sweet addiction! Those are some very cool pieces to start your collection. Seeing your favorite characters brought to life is such fun.

And at higher altitudes, the cold will absolutely have an effect. As, I imagine, would the thrill of flying in such a way. Makes sense to me!
  4. Beautiful work, and the color complements the graceful pencils so well. I can see how you love them all equally. Alpha is my favorite.
  5. I'm digging them all, though I think Maiden America is my favorite. Though she's definitely going to cause someone to bust airspace somewhere. Grav Mistress is a really clever pose, too.
  6. Thanks, guys!

By our very own awesome Alex, here's one reason PinUp Girl's name is an apt one:

    Newest ART!

Really nice. I'd read that comic. I love the idea of a pickup group comic. Imagine the possibilities! MarDun looks pretty tough, great pose. Your friend's Rad-Man has a great smile there.
  8. I can't draw a lick, but my best wishes to your dad and your whole family. I hope he kicks the butt of this illness! What a fun way to give him some extra encouragement, too.

    Feral Kat artz!

Holy smokes. That turned out simply amazing. Wow! Love her expression! And all the flying gore.

    Feral Kat artz!

Beautiful as always! The milk one is clever and the other two are dynamic and exciting. I look forward to seeing them as they progress.
  11. Happy birthday! Hope you have an excellent day.
  12. Great stuff, Caemgen. That Aposcar piece is indeed very slick, I really like what he did there. Simple and dynamic.

Myke is a good guy and I look forward to seeing the WiP when it's finished. He really has been honing his skills. And I love team-ups!
  13. Congratulations on your collection! I particularly like the Mechanic.
  14. Mmmm, pulpy! Takes me back to the classic covers of days gone by. Very nice!
  15. Gorgeous works all, CH! You continue to have one of the finest galleries on DA. I'm always glad to see a new piece from you.

I particularly like this latest one. I love the old school pinup vibe here, which you don't see too often these days, sadly. The expression on her face says it all--playful, fun, a bit of humor. A shapely and delightful lady whose assets are shown to great effect. Very nice indeed!

    Aglow

Mmm, so pretty! Lovely colors, luminous. Congrats and welcome!

And thanks for showing me a new artist.
  17. Take care, o winged one. You will be missed.

There are a million stories in the feathered city. His was one of them.

I'm very sorry to see the news about your mom.
  18. To get back into the swing of things, here's the latest piece of art to come down the ol' runway, by the supremely talented Douglas Shuler:

You can click on it to see a larger version.
  19. Thanks, Kheldarn! I feel like I have finally hit the big time.
  20. The expression on DE's cat face is great. Sad cat is sad. I think my cat looks disappointed like that she tries to trip me and I manage not to break my neck.

    Funny stuff, Kheldarn!
  21. Happy birthday! Hope it was a good one!

    Airheaded Vision

I'm tickled to see this thread because I've been following your gallery on DA, and I've often wondered about this character. Now my questions are answered! You have a lot of fantastic art there, and I am glad to finally know the backstory on this guy.

Nice piece from Raddar; what a great 'oops!' moment. Something about that one raised eyebrow on Airhead expresses the haplessness perfectly.
  23. Congratulations! Welcome to the wonderful world of debt...I mean, collecting!

I like this very much. The colors are lovely, and that background is very appealing to me. Also, I love seeing couples pieces, and the pose is great. I hope to see more in your gallery soon.
  24. Funny stuff! I like your out-of-the-inkwell style, too. Puts me in mind of the great old Fleischer cartoons, cool Day of the Dead folk art, and the art of Robert Crumb. That's, like, a whole summer of awesomeness packed into a few ink lines, so well done!

Also, I am in favor of a bee powerset for blasters.

Finally getting caught up on threads and I'm glad for it. Watching the progress on your book, and seeing some insight into your process--very interesting. As much as I dig your black and white work, I have to say I love your color work as well, and I look forward to seeing the results of the next livestream session. Color or black and white, there's a sumptuous, sensuous quality to your art that gives me a tactile thrill. That may sound weird, but it's the best way I can describe it.

(Thank you so much for including PinUp in your drawings, too! I especially love the flu one where she's in the robe, and I really like the 'hard' lines in the other.)
