  1. No, you didn't misunderstand. I just don't always remember to tell you the whole train of thought which leads me to places.

My thinking on Hess would it bring us all to level 30 or 31, which allows us to start the next Croatoa contact. We're starting to get into the levels where I wouldn't expect to level more than once an evening. So in terms of pure levels it should be okay. And then we'd all hold off on taking the next Croatoa contact until Tuesday, so we'd all be on the same arc still, even the rest of the team got to level 32 and you were still at 31. We've already got some level spread going on, and I thought this would bring us all back to around the same place.

Part of the reason we've been doing zone-specific arcs so far is because those contacts just give the arc and not a lot of fluff. Siolfir and I duo'd a couple of charecters up to 50 and when we got to Tina McIntyre, well, Siolfir got handed every non-arc mission under the sun and I got right onto it. Multiply that by 7 and blarg.

So: To sum up. You remembered correctly. I thought it would be okay just this once. But I forget we all started the Midnighter arc and I don't want to strand you with that. So tonight let's finish that arc and see where we are with time, and make the call then.

PS- Also, I think the Hess TF is nifty and wanted to show it to you.
  2. So I was thinking, if we're all level 28+, it might be good to run the Hess TF tonight and just finish up the Midnighter Arc and run a safeguard Thursday, then resume with Croatoa on Tuesday. Hess sounds so straightforward, like such nice content, good experience, merits...

Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Anyone not level 28?
  3. I'm not immune to flattery, when I'm not suffering from headaches.

From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank

We returned to the haunted township, intending to assist with their fight on the encroachment of the supernatural. And while we did so, we also suffered a rather emberessing defeat at the hands of an enormous, possessed pumpkin, almost like a scarecrow, and its minions. We vowed to fight it again at a later date.

From there, we returned to the Midnight Club, which we believe may be distantly related to our guild, and began to assist them. However, a pressing matter drew my attention away from our adventures and I was forced to depart early.

I understand the Professor has been active in Striga Isle, and has actually uncovered an undercover operative by the name of 'Hess.' I believe we may assist him in the near future.

OOC: Who's going to be here on Thursday? I know Blood will be off getting his nerd on (more so than even playing on a RPG team in a MMO allows). Will anyone else not be here?

I'm not rooming with a newt.

    Happy Monday....

    Let's narrow down the 'them.'

    Let ME eat cake, sure.

Let Mr. Sins eat cake, sure.

Anyone else, I'd have to think about it.

    Happy Monday....

Since it's Friday, I think I'll bake a cake when I get home.
  7. Usually, this is where an in-charecter adventure log would go. And it would have been a great one, including how we got our butts kicked by a giant gourd-with-attitude.

But I still feel pretty "bleh" and suspect whatever this is isn't all caffine, so... adventure log much later if at all.
  8. Our plan for tonight:

Continue with the Croatoa arcs. Run a safeguard if we don't hit 30. Continue in Croatoa next Tuesday. The Thursday after, run the Hess TF.
  9. Yes, the Hess would be my preference, although the Baronne is the one we really wanted to show it to.

The Terra Volta Trial might be worth doing once.

Bear with me as I undergo caffine withdrawel.

Of course, the Citadel is required for the accolade, which is why I think doing those once they're outleveled is good. It doesn't push the rest of the team ahead of one person.

Of course, if only one person is missing, maybe it should be on them to catch back up?

    Thoughts?
  10. Or you could send a "reinvite a friend" invite and he could pop on that way.

Pretty good for a woman without coffee!
  11. From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank

Tonight, while Patches was off on some quest of his own, the rest of the guild set forth on a series of tasks for Sister Psyche. We have concluded she may be the oddest nun we've ever encountered.

Employing great guile, speed, and stealth, we were able to conclude our adventures within our normal time slot. Congratulations were due all around, but especially to Lotus Cri for her amazing scouting abilities, Aluriel for her fighting abilities, and the Baronne for hers.

Next session should find us at our full-strength again, and we'll continue to save the haunted township for the encroachment of the supernatural. We'll continue with that again on Tuesday, and next Thursday, in eight days, I understand the Baronne has a quest of her own. While she is gone, we may be complete a quest for the hero Citadel, although I remain torn as to if that is the best course of action or not.
  12. She's right next to Aura Borialis, the trainer, who will show up on your map.

It's imparative we start on time, so I'll see you all in the zone at 6 pm. I have to stop on time tonight and don't want to run into Thursday. We're going to stealth and speed the snot out of this one.

By the way, I am caffinated to the point of twitching. It's my Fat Tuesday tradition.
  13. Tonight's line up, departing from IP at 6 pm PST sharp:

    1. Countess Clink Clank
    2. Aluriel
    3. The Baronne
    4. The Professor
    5. Lotus Cri
    6. Moiread (I think. I did try and lure her.)
    7. Knight Chill (Who I'd also like to lure, possibily with pizza)

No Patches tonight, and no word yet from Civil Twilight.

    Happy Monday....

Once at a party, I was asked to make the screwdrivers. I didn't drink at all then, and rarely even now. Everyone else was plastered and unavailable for consult. So I did the logical thing, and used half rotgut vodka, half orange juice.
  15. There are 3 kill alls, some pizza delivery, some 'click the glowies,' and some 'kill the boss and his crew.' We start at 6 pm sharp, we can do this in two hours, because overflowing into Thursday would irritate the snot out of me.

The Countess will be there and I invited/lured another player, too.
  16. Textilian

    Happy Monday....

    I hear that happens.

Edit: And I miss the Troll.

    Happy Monday....

I enjoy weekends because I can have any schedule I want.

    Happy Monday....

My sister is an owl; I'm more a lark. When I visit her, I make sure to bring along a book to read for the several hours before she's up. Since I gave her my old sewing machine, now I could also bring along some projects to work on before she gets up.

She married another owl, too. But he likes it when I visit, because I usually go for a walk and bring back coffee and pastry.

Holidays are fun. My dad gets up even before I do (He sometimes sleeps in until 6 am, though), so when I arrive in the mornings someone else has already made the coffee.

    Happy Monday....

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday, any plans?
  20. From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank

We spent more time in the haunted township, fighting posessed gourds, ghosts, and hairy beasties. Against those denzians of the supernatural, we were unstoppable. We were joined by another person of learning, a doctor, whom we found through the great psychic collective of 'Guardian.'

On our next meeting, we plan to undergo a series of tasks for Sister Psyche. We will not lollygag, but start as soon as we can and move as swiftly as we can, employing speed and stealth to our benefit. I hope to find more heroes to join us, once again through the collective.

    Happy Monday....

I like to get up 30 minutes before Mr. Sins so I have some time to myself to start the day with. On the weekends, he stays up much later than I do, so I have some private time even when I sleep in until 7 am.

I give to the forum for analysis:

    Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Oh yes... I saw that. I plan on skipping it. And the new musical Pride and Predator. Although I might enjoy a flat-out parody.

And I threw a Pride and Prejudice sequel across the room when it was revealed that Elizabeth was a medium.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wow... just... wow. Some books make me wonder what editors and publishers are thinking. They also make me fear that maybe people really DO enjoy crap like this. I just don't get it.

I'm a member of bookcrossing.com and we give books away when we finish them. (It's fun; check it out!) I remember reading one so bad it's the only mystery where I read the ending before I was half-way through the book, just so I wouldn't have to read the rest. Then I wrote a scathing review on Amazon and, since I couldn't bring myself to give it away to any unsuspecting innocent, I threw it in the garbage with the other trash.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I understand in subsequent sequels she and Mr. Darcy went on to become ghost hunters.

As for bookcrossings/com, I'll check it out. I'm lucky enough to currently live in a region with an excellent public library system and several used and new bookshops. (Whether I throw or snarl depends on whether the book is borrowed or owned). I tend to give books I don't want to keep (very rare, I try to only buy keepers) to them for their Friends of the Library sales.

I've had a couple of books so bad I've gone on to write scathing reviews on Amazon. Without fail, those are the ones which received the most critical acclaim from professional book reviewers (I think they're toying with us.)
