Real Heroes' Union Story.
After the Rikti war many heroes had lost friends and some had begun to lose hope, one man stood against this and offered hope he wanted to build a home for them, for any hero. It was the founder's desire that it would be a harmonious place where support would be offered and heroes would consider their friends needs before their own.
An thus Real Heroes' Union was born.........
Brief Overview of Real Heroes' Union.
Real Heroes' Union was created by heroes for heroes. We're a home for heroes, as much a social group as we are a roleplay group. Everyone in the group is very friendly and always happy to hear a good story or assist another Real Hero.
Real Heroes' Union is a social roleplay group, allow me to describe what I mean by that. All of the members of Real Heroes' Union are roleplayers so we often roleplay. However we're not aggressive about roleplay and very often may spend a while just discussing the game or just general life. As long as a player makes it clear that they are talking in or out of character it's fine.
The majority of Real Heroes have experience in pencil and paper role playing games. For those of you who don't know these are games like Dungeons and Dragons or the less well known Marvel Super Heroes. This means that Real Heroes' Union has a strong foundation of well established and able role players.
Knowledge of pencil and paper roleplaying games is not a requirement for entry to Real Heroes' Union however. Some real heroes are live roleplayers or roleplay in internet chat rooms. The most important thing is a desire and willingness to roleplay.
How Real Heroes Roleplay.
Players are often in character and if you were to join you would see many stories and greetings being passed over supergroup chat. I personally roleplay over teamspeak at times but some players prefer the chat channels.
It is inevitable in any roleplay supergroup that there are times when out of character chat is needed, discussing tactics for instance. We get around this problem in two unique ways.
Teamspeak is generally considered out of character so it's the perfect medium to plan tactics. When the day's adventure is done many players like to post their real hero's story on the forum, these often turn into prolonged story threads in line with in game events.

Real Heroes' Union offers the following services to real heroes.
1) Real Heroes' Union forum where we post our stories or partake in general chat.
2) Real Heroes' Union website where we plan our adventures and post information about our real heroes.
3) Teamspeak, Real Heroes Union offers teamspeak for members to use during their games of City of Heroes.
How to Become a Real Hero.
There are three ways to join Real Heroes' Union.
1) Befriend a member of Real Heroes' Union and get a referal, this is probably the best way to join us as you'll get a taste of Real Heroes' Union first and find out if you really want to be a Real Hero
2) Post in the thread on this forum entitled 'The Best Heroes are Real Heroes (RHU) Clan Thread' telling us about your role playing experience and or why you want to become a real hero. Remember the more convincing and keen you are the more chance you have of becoming a real hero.
3) Send Templar a PM and I will direct you to the Real Heroes' Union forum where you can make a similar post as you would have in the thread 'The Best Heroes are Real Heroes (RHU) Clan Thread'.
