I'm saying there's a slight lack of balance in the power sets ,but that's for another section of the forums
I love pvp in general and I love pvp in cox

as i said before usually when I fight trash talkers I beat living crap out of them but just walk away with the win, there's never need to call anyone a n00b or say something along the lines of "ROFLCOPTER what a [censored] he couldnt beat us himself so he called an ARMY XD" in which case I ask the broadcaster if they want to fight in the arena where its not 8vs4 or 4vs1

bah I dunno I mean I really don't mind dying that much, there's usually ways around dying its the trash talking that usually makes everyone of the opposing faction leave leaving the winning group with no one to fight ...
to each his own I guess

you do have a point thats the one thing that gets my goat "the face rubbing" after someone takes someone out and has a /$target macro and then just constantly runs there mouth usually im in the zone for long period of times so it gets old quick .

usually i just cuss them out though

take for instance like the guys that are teamed up 8vs1 there always some body talking all sorts of stuff.

but hes there deal i could ignore them and i got all sorts of options to not hear them usually i dont mess with it

because i have ignored people and suddenly the zone gets real quiet and boring ive unignored people too hear alittle banter now and then
but usually i keep the /$target people on ignore

at one point in time i tried pvp in wow "yeah i know barf"and that really sucked because ya couldnt understand what the other people where saying they had some the enemie text would be jumbled Bur come to mind

i for one enjoy pvp in cox.
i feel bad for people that have posted saying they wont pvp on account of the trash talk . your missing out on some fun times .
its what kept me around .
if the talking bother ya just hit the ignore button

people say pvp sucks in cox ...thats because there morons.
To pvp sucessfully you have too actually use your head and build whats the best for your playstyle ...get ya hands dirty and get slapped around in zones to get a feel for it.

you were doing great till you said cox pvp is good ... its not but its all we have yes its unbalanced yes range completely dominates in most cases , but this still doesnt give us reason to talk trash ... since it really has nothing to do with people being A holes >.>

one thing that this thread has shown me however is that there is a larger number of people that don't think trash talking is fun than I expected . this is great news but still

Or my personal favorite, 1v1 him in the arena, crush him either 4-0 or higher. Then at the end of the match say "GG, I was having an off day should've gotten more" That will piss the HELL out of them. It did to the jerk scrapper who was talking smack to me. So I asked for a 1v1 in the arena, and he agreed, after the match I dropped that line and he was swearing up a storm. He couldn't back up his trash because he got CRUSHED.

err no no we aren't trying to piss them off , we're trying to show there's other ways of handling a win than showing your prowess over the other person ... finish the game with a GG/GF ... no one gets mad and hopefully he sees how gracefully you accepted your victory

this is what I thought in the begining of this thread , but the fact is that people that don't trash talk are SEVERELY outnumbered by those who do. the message we are trying to give out is that if we keep the trash talking to a minimum then pvp may grow to be more popular ( more people will be willing to try it and learn from his/her encounters) in which case everyone (including the trash talkers) will have more people to kill/fight against .

then again , has anyone actually tried talking sense with them ? its no use give up hope ... become better and pray to the gods that some day we will prevail

I've gotten to know quite a few friends from the opposing faction as well as the same faction , as soon as you get passed the A,B,C's & D's its actually kinda fun

after reading almost everyones replies I've noticed that everyone is either complaining about people trash talking or telling people that are bothered by to simply ignore the trash talker.
this thread (I believe) is not really getting to the trash talkers
I actually think most trash talkers are either:
A) retarded
B) socially inapt
C) under the age of 8 and has parents that swear a lot
D) very very mad at the life he/she is living

all of which I think sometimes require be taught a lesson

the best way to teach you ask ?
just got the crap kicked out of you ? figure out a way to kick the living crap out him , be it with insp or with a team and never talk trash to them . if you manage to kill him 1-1 just end each fight with gg/gf , if you used some insp or a team then if they trash talk "whaaa you can't kill me without your insp/team// youre sucha [censored] can't fight alone blah blah "

... can't think of a reply to that ... someone help me reply to my own trash talk D:

in the end what they need to see is how someone who is not A,B,C or D should reply

in any case I mostly feel sorry for trash talkers and hence I let them trash talk all they want .
I agree its not the friendliest of atmospheres and yes it DOES prevent the Pvp population by showing an ugly faceright from the start but there's not much we can do about it sadly
