It's a good thing Statesman and the rest of the Devs don't think this way. Just because the game's general story might revolve around teaming to you, doesn't mean it has to be that way for everyone who plays it. It doesn't matter if every game designer who has ever worked on this game thinks that teams are what the game is all about. It's better for the game as a whole if each individual player is allowed to decide his or her own story for themselves. Seems like the Devs understand this and I'm glad. Solo or group doesn't matter, what matters is what is fun for each of us.
