    Laptop advice

Well, the first problem is that a Laptop generate a lot of heat while doing graphic intense work so you might consider also purchasing a laptop pad with a cooler unit. When it come down to laptops for gaming I'm not that great with advices. Any laptop with a graphic card better then nvidia 9400, at least 4 gigs of ram (preferably dd3 ram) and a core 2 duo processor should suffice your needs.

Because of that it's hard to max out a laptop (cooling and placement issues) you might get greatly capped in power ability while not choosing a desktop solution.
I hear a lot of good talk about playing WoW on the new Macbook Pro and CoX should have similar hardware requirements. Any laptop with similar configuration should be enough. Alienware though expensive are always quality and good for gaming IMO.

CoX runs great on my Mac Mini late 2009. Just a note; be picky with the cooling abilities. Lots of laptop users (including myself back in 2008 when I owned a Zepto Znote 6324W laptop) who play games encounter a lot of issues with the temperatures. It's not that fun when your computer constantly shuts down because it can't shut out enough heat to keep it running because of bad cooling factors.

Here's some to get you started:

The only problem with this, though it would be huge fun is that then you are back to grinding. Like in WoW's profession system. Then of course it depends on what you define as grinding. Killing is not grinding for me because it is so fun to lay out my traps, pull the not knowing mobs and BANG . But I do agree in that it would add a deeper depth to the game and would help out playing with the concept of your character.

And I agree in what other players said. CoX is really funny when you are on a large team. I enjoy playing solo 2, but it's so satisfying being a member of a 8-man team and watch those powers fly by.
  4. Hard to say.. Depends of the need for influence. I Usually only farm (AE with XP shut of ) when I'm low on cash for enches.
Not more then a million per week i think
  5. I hope that they fix a costume piece thats bugging me. What I'm speaking of is that arms and chest are the same in the creator which it should not be. Sure the arms are attached to your shoulders and chest, but this "rule" doesn't make any sense and more then often I can't get the look I want in a char because of that I am unable to specify this.

It's annoying that you can't have stars for example on your arms and something else on your chest. I constantly have to compromise the look that I have in mind and more then often (esp when doing heroes) it's just turn out like s***.

Now, I know that it's not a HUGE issue but sometimes the rules for what you can do and not in CoX is very random from my point of view. There's just no logic why you can't do some things and it's not only about costumes. Champions Online in mind they could actually take some times to fix this.. Oh oh, and why can't you combine hair with certain types of masks (like the head piece that Scarlett Witch has in X-Men and exist in CoX). And why doesn't the ground tremble under your feet when you do super jump? Cause that animation does exist in CoX!

For me.. it's just unlogical and annoying for such a great game. I love this game in almost every aspect but these things might be good to take into consider now when they are doing another expansion. And i want to have the choice to make a fat character xD
  6. Hello world. Not new to the game but the forums

Onward. For me; travel powers isn't really worth spending power slots on early in the game.
You can navigate through the city fast enough using sprint and ninja run. While you can't jump over buildings with Ninja Run, you can hurdle over them using windows and some textures also makes you float. When you've got the technique down it's fast enough to suffice your need for speed.

Though I do agree in that travel powers helps defining your characters persona, they are just not good enough to waste taking early in game IMO. (Super jump is the only good one anyway cause it both have fast vertical and horizontal travel). Though again that's only my opinion and opinions differ
