  1. A "cataclysm" type of thing? Old zones getting trashed due to an ongoing Praetorian War (maybe uses the Rikti method?). I'm all for that, but I think what they should do MORE is unlock the archetypes. I'm talking picking individual powers from any set. Both competitors do it, we need it too.

One of the selling points of CoX is customization. You need that feeling of Uniqueness. I'm hoping I20+ will continue the lead CoX has by giving many MANY new customization options. Asymmetrical costumes, scalable body, stances, expressions, more power pools, etc...

I would hate to have to be limited to wearing specific costume items to gain any kind of benefit like that.
Ahh, I never suggested that powers be tied to it, but that some costume pieces have additional emanation points built in so that when used, a new option appears when selecting the animation. Things like arm-guns don't need anything like that, because their left/right hand emanation points will already exist. If you loook at the crab spider backpack, you'll see that they already have a beginnings to the thing.

As far as I19, I guess I meant to say that since it will include the custom animations, moving forward do they think that it's more of a priority. I mean, it looks as if they are going in the right direction anyway.
  3. Announced with the I19, your set to release custom power animations. More accurately, it's a power emanation option. Left hand, right hand, eyes, chest, etc...

My question is "Due to a number of character concepts that would benefit from a custom power animation option, do you plan to take this a step further and include new costume pieces that serve as thematic props for the emanation points?
    Specifically things like these:

Arm gun: A weapon that overlaps the forearm and hand. Used for characters like Samus, Armory, and Megaman.

Shoulder Launchers: Costume piece that resembles shoulder-mounted missile pods or, really, any other weapon that could realistically be mounted on the shoulder.

Chest "beam" Detail: Chest Detail pieces like "Jewel", but designed to look more like a output point for a power.

Tail: Scorpion tail that fires ice blasts please?
  4. Hello. I feel I must express my concerns regarding your work. From my love of the superhero genre comes a great desire to experience other aspects of a hero's abilities. My hero is capable of more than combat, but there is no detective work, no puzzles to solve, no doors to unlock. I am never in a fight that I can't win with a laser beam or a right-hook, I am never seeking information that can't be gleaned from a contact or a quick romp. All doors are opened to me by nothing more than my security level and linear mission progress. Do you, as a story writer and level designer, feel as if the game could use non-combat oriented content? Hitting the street in a "civilian clothes" temporary power to track down a shady villain before me and my team bust down his door. Hitting up NPC's for names of witnesses, finding evidence, infiltrating the Circle of Thorns to steal an evil artifact. Going to the library to learn of a method of destroying it. Finding a stone that weakens a certain Archvillian like kryptonite....And NOT spelling out exactly what your hero must do. Is this something you see as workable?
