how about this: We have our 32 girls here, right? right.

Some one else starts their own thread with 32 different girls (not it) compiled mostly of all the janey-come-latelys.

Then the winner of this series can have a face off against the winner of that series.

I nominate Mantid to run this other thread.

[/ QUOTE ]Then you have to find 32 more girls.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Oh, not me, Mantid.

I likely never would have opened this thread if not for outside influences.

I knew we should have gone to 64

    [/ QUOTE ]

    We still can.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but would they be able to withstand the onslaught of Sally's army?

    [/ QUOTE ]

very likely, as many of Sally's army only voted on her match, thus disqualifying their vote for her.

Please tell me this is not the same competition as the one you have posted on the CoV forums?

    [/ QUOTE ]

He has them on both the CoH and CoV forums, and the same people post the exact same things.

    It's weird.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is he posting it on the COH Canada forums too?

    4. (and my favorite) Mats gets to run the "Man draft"

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Why do you hate me?!?!?!

    [/ QUOTE ]

A guy is running the Girl vote, so naturally a girl runs the guy vote.

Then bob can run the battle between the grand winner of each!

    2. Round structure is powers of 2. After 32, 64 for is the next power. Thus if we had 33 people, we would need to reach 64 to have an even power of 2.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The just don't teach these important lessons once you get past Algebra 2.

Or maybe they did. I kinda stopped paying attention after that.

Me thinks we should add a #33.

[/ QUOTE ]If I add 33 wouldn't it have to be doubled to 64 contestants. Now that would just be crazy.

But since she has Witch in her name, then she can be the final person the winner has to overcome...

    [/ QUOTE ]

    1. Run a "mostly guys" one
    2. 33 does not double to 64, its 66
    3. Though it might jam up the current votes (so you might have to extend the first round....AGAIN...swap out Malibu with Witch. Since Sally wants to kick the boys, she gets to get thrown in with the boys.

    4. (and my favorite) Mats gets to run the "Man draft"

See, simple problems with simple solutions.

I still think War Witch deserves a nom.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Is she even with the game anymore? She hasn't posted in.. forever.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You nominated her and then you edited it out.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yeah, what's up with that?

    War Witch

    [/ QUOTE ]

*Does the Sympathy Dance* for War Witch.

    [/ QUOTE ]

After being assaulted by Malibu Sally, can I withdraw my nomination of her and swap in War_Witch?

I hear she doesnt kick people who are nice to her.

I was surprised it took so long to nominate Sleepy_Kitty.

I am as well. I'm even more surprised no one has nominated Malibu_Sally yet.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    SUPRISE!!!

I nominate Malibu_Sally...who ever you are.

I don't have the heart to tell him the truth...

    [/ QUOTE ]

The truth is that we're all forum girls. Every last one of us. Even Bob.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Especially bob

[/ QUOTE ]Bob is really a 19 year old Japanese underwear model.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But where does he find 19 year old Japanese underwear?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Where the rest of the Japanese find them: Vending machines.

I really wish I was making that up too?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    In Vend...doh! Scooped!

Sad that this thread is doing so much better than our Survivor one.

You should quick edit the title
  17. seizure enducing though they may be, I wouldn't want to see them dropped. (wow the memory of it almost made me just pass out)

I am impressed though that it was singled out for change. I can count the times i've seen it in game on another toon on one hand wearing a mitten.

    crazy.
  18. Geez a Red name pops up, and now everyone has Whirlwind j/k

I only have this on one toon, and it fits his concept.

The nice thing about whirlwind beyond not rooted attacking was that in a team, you coud effectively take one dangerous mob out of combat...like say a purple jump bot during a respec.

Now, its much more handy in pvp. though its not auto hit, it can save you from AS.
I try not to guzzle inspirations in pvp, (cause if I lose to a human..who cares, no debt) but i'm certain the few times I was tp foe'd into a box with 2 stalkers and a corruptor waiting for me, there was 1 or 2 times my blaster could have escaped the death trap alive.

My only complaint is that leaving it on for extended period makes my head all wonky.
I'll have to try going into first person mode and see if that helps.
  19. If you have conserve energy, its a fun and handy power. Not rooted blasting, you have the ablity to take one participant out of a fight, (even some bosses)

And it makes a great costume change power
  20. I could actually see that. Longbow guys getting ticked off that the wyvern guys keep stealing their girls.

Havent noticed it in game yet though. I usually skirt that island when i can.
  21. Mind you, I was in the single digit ages when I watched Dukes of Hazzard faithfully, but I sorta remember an episode where they were cops, and refused to carry guns also. (the sequence of Bo returning the gun may have been part of the opening credits)
I have a friend who grabbed them on DvD. Maybe I'll subject myself to them again sometime.

As to the rest of the Phalanx being oblivious.. I can see it. Sister Psyche likely spends most of her day trying to drown out back ground noise, Posi likely spends all his time in the lab, and Synapse keeps himself busy with porn. Beyond that or the "omg, trouble!" alert, I'm guessing these guys rarely even log onto CNN. com.

And Citidel likely knows and figured it out, (cause of his sick access to tons of data) but why would he act on it unless they brought their show to paragon?
  22. [ QUOTE ]

*cough* Well, were they killed with a gun or a bow? Makes a lot of difference. I could refer you at least 2 fictional cultural heroic icons that avoid the specific delivery system of the death of their parental figures, but still employ similar methods to gain a sort of "revenge" or "justice" against the "bad guys" depending on the point of view.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Kinda like how Bo and Luke Duke shunned firearms, so instead used Arrows with sticks of TnT tied to them.

I think that's what inspired Manticore to fight crime as an archer. You wait, when we get vehicles and he's jumping fissures in faultline with his!
Just the good ole boys never meanin' no harm an all.
  23. [ QUOTE ]
Now we know Manticore is rich, really rich.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So is Paris Hilton yet she still "works" for a living. He's a businessman. While it makes sense for him to support charitable hero organizations, it also makes sense for him to create another force for good that helps keep him rich, or at least can somewhat support itself.

Also, not every skilled archer is a heroic person. Likely Manti saw this and provided them an outlet to perform good deeds, even if it meant they needed a pay check to guaruntee it.
  24. Right after Posi said that we started pounding the crap out of him. The only thing that saved him was a Statesman sighting.
Sister Psyche made some comment about tour guides and hospital teleports, States gave the defiant, no matter how many of you there are we will never give up spiel.
Synapse just turned on Whirlwind and sent the crowds flying! (without supression to his super speed I might add )

I didn't see Synapse's banter, but his actions did seem to make up for his piss poor performance in the CoV Trailer vid.
