    Chapter I: Another New Beginning

    -~Jessica Thine~-

Jessica Thine, the hero once known as Silent Spy, walked towards her new workplace. Luckily for her, it was not too far away from her apartment building.

She confidently walked through the Portal Corporations courtyard, for her first day of work. She was recently hired as a Dimension Expeditionary Officer. Her job is to search through the many portals in Portal Corp., and report her findings.

There were other jobs Jessica could take, but this one allowed her to be more adventurous.

    “Hello,” said a familiar voice.

Jessica turned around to find Tina Macintyre walking towards her. Tina was Silent Spy’s contact who helped with the Praetorian War.

    “Hello, Tina,” said Jessica.
“How did you know my first name?” asked Tina. “Do I know you?”
    “No,” replied Jessica.
    “You look familiar,” said Tina.
“Really? Odd,” said Jessica. “I’m Jessica Thine, I was recently hired as a Dimension Expeditionary Officer.”
“Hello, I’m Tina Macintyre,” said Tina.
    “I know,” muttered Jessica.
“Come with me,” said Tina. “Let’s start your first day of work.”

    -~NeoRadiation~-

NeoRadiation was walking through Founder’s Falls when a piece of paper flew into his face. He looked at the paper. It was a flyer, announcing the reopening of a popular club, Pocket D.
He decided to check it out and see if everything is okay. Popular clubs often are a target for danger.

Inside the club, he was told to go inside an elevator. In the elevator, he felt a rumble and then there was a quick flash. When the doors opened, he was amazed. The club was on an alternate dimension!

    “Wow,” said NeoRadiation.

NeoRadiation looked out the window and looked around.

“Do I know you from somewhere?” asked a voice.

NeoRadiation turned around and looked at the speaker. It was War Witch.

    “War Witch?” asked NeoRadation.
“I remember you,” said War Witch. “My ghost was there when the Circle of Thorns invaded Paragon City. You protected Croatoa.”

    Then, another voice.

    “Hey,” said the voice.

NeoRadiation turned around and saw a hero.

“It’s me, Mesmorizer,” said the hero. “I helped you escape from the Circle of Thorns.”
“You made it out alive?” asked NeoRadiation.
    “Barely,” said Mesmorizer.
“Wait a second,” said NeoRadiation as he turned to War Witch. “Didn’t you die?”
“On the main dimension, yes,” said War Witch with a smirk.

Then, NeoRadiation spotted a problem. There were villains.

NeoRadiation walked up to the DJ and warned him about the villains.

    “Chill out,” said the DJ.
“But they are dangerous criminals,” said NeoRadiation.
“Ya, but its safe here, trust me,” said the DJ.

NeoRadiation felt uncertain and decided to stay and make sure nothing happens.

    -~Figi~-

Figi regained consciousness lying down on a bed.

    “Huh?” asked Figi.

The last thing she remembered was being taken away by Vahizlok and about to be cut open.

    “Where am I?” asked Figi.

A woman emerged from the corner of the room. Figi immediately recognized the woman as Ghost Widow.

    “Hello,” said Ghost Widow.
    “Uh, hi,” said Figi, nervously.

Ghost Widow is known to be a merciless killer, what could she possibly want with Figi?

“I heard you were with a friend of mine before she disappeared,” said Ghost Widow.
    “Who?” asked Figi.
    “Radevil,” said Ghost Widow.
“Yes, but I do not know where she was taken,” said Figi.

    Ghost Widow looked disappointed.

“I heard the Rikti bought her in an auction,” said Ghost Widow. “But we searched everywhere within miles of Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, with no traces of Radevil.”

Figi though about where Radevil can be taken.

“Maybe they aren’t on this planet,” said Figi.

Ghost Widow turned to Figi with a wide grin across her face.

    -~Cassandra Thine~-

Cassandra was ready to begin her first day as a hero. But first, she must register as a hero and get a hero identification card. She had a name picked out for her, ‘Amethystar’. She only needed a costume…

Cassandra looked into her mirror. She looked different. She looked and felt twenty years younger. Her hair was no long white and grey, but jet black. She knew this had something to do with the ring. The ring must have made her more compatible for combat.

She looked closer into the mirror and noticed that there were strands of dark purple in her hair.

    “That’s odd,” said Cassandra.

    -~Jessica Thine~-

Jessica sat in the Portal Court, eating her lunch. She pulled out her cell phone and called the Hero Corps.

“Hello, can you get me the hero directory please?” asked Jessica.

Jessica looked at her cell phone’s screen. A list of names of many different heroes throughout Paragon City was listed. However, the name she was looking for was not.

Jessica re-dialed the Hero Corps number.

“Hello, can you find me a hero named Netherflare?” asked Jessica.
“One second, please,” said the agent on the phone.

After a few seconds, the agent returned.

“I’m sorry, no records are found,” said the agent.
“What do you mean?” asked Jessica.
“I’ll look through archived files,” said the agent. “Ah, I see the problem.”
    “What?” asked Jessica.
“Netherflare is in the archives, but is locked,” said the agent. “It’s classified.”
    “By which authority?” asked Jessica.
“Hrm, weird,” said the agent. “The authority is Clarissa van Dorn.”
“Countess Crey has access to Hero Corps files?” asked Jessica.
“Yes, she managed to get some access, a little money goes a long way,” said the agent.
“Can you just redirect me to Netherflare’s phone?” asked Jessica.
    “Sure thing,” said the agent.

A few seconds later, Netherflare picked up the phone.

“Hello?” asked Netherflare on the phone.
    “Hey, it’s me,” said Jessica.
    “Silent Spy?” asked Netherflare.
“Yes, but I’m not going by that name anymore,” said Jessica. “At least, not for a bit.”
    “Why?” asked Netherflare.
“I got a job,” said Jessica. “A real job. At Portal Corps.”
“Want me to visit?” asked Netherflare.
“Yes, that would be nice,” said Jessica.

    -~Surgetron~-

Surgetron sat back and relaxed on a deserted island, right off Talos Island. He needed some time to relax after the major battle that took place a few nights ago.

His peaceful moments were interrupted when two Malta agents ambushed him.

Surgetron blasted one of the Malta agents with a high voltage bolt of electricity, tossing them into the water, where they were electrocuted more severely due to the water.

For the second Malta agent, Surgetron tackled the agent to the ground and pinned him down.

“What do you want with me?” asked Surgetron.
“We want your plans for the new robots,” said the Malta agent.
“Why me?” screamed Surgetron, demanding answers.
“There aren’t many people smarter than you,” said the agent. “You worked for Crey Industries, they recommended you. We need someone who knows about robots.”

Surgetron smiled and stood up, letting the Malta agent free.

“Listen, you got the wrong guy,” said Surgetron.
“What do you mean?” asked the Malta agent. “Who else is better than you?”

    Surgetron smiled even wider.

“His name is ZapperScurge,” said Surgetron.

I like the toga, and the badge... pity they'll be gone by the time i7 rolls around.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I don't understand why people keep saying/wondering if they are going away. The santa hats are still around arnt' they. Seems to me that if the Devs take the costume options away, it wouldl just cause problems for people currently using them (ie, what would be put in it's place, would there be even more free tailoring sessions, etc).

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think he meant that the badge will only be unlockable for a bit.

Once its unlocked, you have it.

But you still need to unlock it.

And is this "log in soon", "log in whenever", or "log in today"?
  9. SilentSpy

    Toga toga toga!

    How do we unlock it?

Do we just have to log on?

    Is there a mission?

If we just have to log on, is it only temporarily available?

If so, how long is it available for? I can only play on weekends.
  10. I like Pocket D for one reason:

    Tsoo!

I wish I could talk to that Tsoo guy.'

I love the Tsoo....it sucks that they are only 20-30.
  11. They both charge.

    Chapter X: Journey Home

    -~ZapperScurge~-

ZapperScurge was on a boat, heavily guarded by Wyvern. A few minutes ago, Manticore came to ask him questions. ZapperScurge kept his mouth shut, he had more important things to think about.

Countess Crey had betrayed him. He trusted her, he did everything she said; and then she betrayed him.

ZapperScurge knew what he had to do first. He had to escape from the Wyvern. He pulled out an emergency control panel that he carries with him and pressed a button.

He heard the sound of heavy weights dropping on the top deck. Then there were screams and the sound of lasers. He pressed another button. An even heavier weight dropped onto the top deck, slightly tipping the boat as it landed.
The screams were louder as machine guns and lasers were launched. Then there was the sound of cannons and explosions.

A battle drone entered the room where ZapperScurge was being help captive and used its laser to let him free.

    “Thanks, Bobby,” said ZapperScurge.

ZapperScurge ran upstairs to find his other two battle drones, John and Anderson, standing next to his prized and most powerful robot, Michelle.

“Find everyone else and defeat them all,” said ZapperScurge as his robots began to explore the ship, attacking anything in their way.

Suddenly, Bobby was knocked off the ship.

ZapperScurge ordered Michelle walked towards the attacker. An arrow was shot into Michelle’s metallic head, but did not damage the robot.

Manticore came out of the shadows followed by a man who he did not recognize.

ZapperScurge quietly snuck around Manticore and grabbed the mysterious man and pulled a knife to his neck, holding him hostage.

“Manticore,” said ZapperScurge. “Let me leave or I will kill him.”

Manticore smiled and gently placed his bow and arrows on the ground.

    “Go ahead,” said Manticore.

The hostage began to grow bigger and bigger as ZapperScurge tried holding the knife to his neck.

The hostage transformed into a werewolf, the one that attacked him in the Crey lab.

“Run!” said ZapperScurge as he grabbed onto Michelle. Michelle flew off, with ZapperScurge holding on.

The werewolf jumped after ZapperScurge and grabbed onto Michelle’s legs, slightly weighing it down.

    “Just go,” said the werewolf.

Michelle landed on the top of a skyscraper in Steel Canyon, letting ZapperScurge and the werewolf go.

    “Who are you?” asked ZapperScurge.
“My name is Werehound,” said the werewolf. “Thank you for letting me escape with you.”

Werehound looked down from the skyscraper.

“Good bye,” said ZapperScurge as he leapt at Werehound, pushing him over the ledge.

ZapperScurge watched as Werehound fell down the seventy-four-story skyscraper and down into the busy streets below.

    -~Cassandra Thine~-

Cassandra knew one person that could help her identify the mystical powers in this ring; a voodoo master by the name of Cadao Kestrel.

Cassandra walked to Founder’s Falls, where she met with Cadao Kestrel.

“Hello, Cassandra,” said Cadao. “What do you need?”
“I have a favor to ask of you,” said Cassandra.
“The Circle of Thorns haven’t been bothering you again, have they?” asked Cadao.
“No,” said Cassandra with a laugh. “It’s this ring I found.”

Cassandra held out her hand to Cadao.

“Can you take it off?” asked Cadao.
    “No,” said Cassandra.
“It’s definitely magical,” said Cadao. “It’s a bonding ring.”
“Well, I noticed that much,” said Cassandra.
“What do you need to know?” asked Cadao.
“Since I put it on, strange things have been happening,” said Cassandra. “I was brought back to life. The other night, when the Circle of Thorns invaded, I was mistaken as a hero by Sister Psyche and allowed into her force field. Suddenly, I felt my body begin to change and then the next thing I knew, I was in my apartment again.”

Cadao inspected the ring closely and softly touched the ring with his finger. He felt a quick shock and pulled away.

“There is some sort of life form in that ring,” said Cadao.

    -~Radevil~-

Radevil was locked inside the energy tube on the Rikti spacecraft as the Rikti returned back to their homeplanet.

“We are almost home,” said the Rikti captain.
“Yes, well, I’m far from home,” said Radevil.

The Rikti ignored her. One of the Rikti pilots turned to the captain quickly.

“Catpain,” said the pilot. “We have a problem.”

The Rikti ship was hit by something and shook.

“We’re under attack!” yelled the captain.

The ship was shot again, but this time part of ceiling of the ship caved in. Immediately, the Rikti and all furniture were sucked out of the ship and into space.

Radevil was stuck in the tube, built into the floor. A third shot was fired, this time hitting the tube. The tube cracked open as Radevil was violently tossed out of the ship.
There was no air or oxygen, but Radevil was able to manipulate radiation in her body to survive.

The ship that had attacked was huge and armed with many weapons. A bright light was pointed at her and she felt herself being magnetically pulled towards the light. She closed her eyes and when she reopened them, she was inside the ship.

She looked at her new captors. They looked like Rikti, but were much bigger and stronger looking. They had a odd glow around them.
Three of the super-Rikti guards pinned Radevil down to the ground and shocked her with a taser and handcuffed her.

    -~Phantoma Storm~-

Phantoma Storm was alive once again. She was flying down the streets of Steel Canyon, patrolling the city, when she noticed something falling from the top of a skyscraper.
She flew towards it and realized it was a man. She changed the weather to keep the man in the air and carefully place him onto the ground.
Once the man landed, she was able to get a closer look at him. He wasn’t a man, but a werewolf.

A werewolf that she remembered from her past life…

“You,” said the werewolf. “You were the one on that cruise ship.”

Phantoma Storm then remembered where she had met the werewolf. He had attacked her.

    “Yes,” said Phantoma.
“I saw you die,” said the werewolf. “In the Tsoo base. You died.”
    “Yes,” said Phantoma.
“You died,” said the werewolf. “But you’re alive.”
    “Yes, I am,” said Phantoma.
“My name is Werehound,” said the werewolf.
“Phantoma Storm, nice to meet you,” said Phantoma politely.

Phantoma watched as Werehound began to slowly shrink into a human.

“My real name is James Dean,” said Werehound, who was now in his human form. “Thanks for, you know, saving me.”
    “No problem,” said Phantoma.
“There is a villain up there,” said James, point up.

Phantoma Storm nodded and flew up to the top of the skyscraper where she found a man and six robots.

“Oh, look, a hero,” said the man.

The six robots revealed their weapons and aimed them at Phantoma Storm.

“Oh, you don’t want to do that,” said Phantoma Storm with a light laugh. “Who are you anyways?”
“They call me ZapperScurge,” said the man. “And you are?”
    “Phantoma Storm,” said Phantoma.
“Nice to meet you,” said ZapperScurge. “Now, good bye.”

ZapperScurge’s robots shot at Phantoma Storm, who called a small hurricane around her. The robot attacks were all deflected and blown into different directions. Phantoma then summoned her army of phantoms as they battled through the robots.

Phantoma Storm was then hit in the arm by a laser, it didn’t hurt much, but caught her attention. She manipulated the oxygen to heal her wound. When she looked back, ZapperScurge and his robots were gone.

    -~Silent Spy~-

Silent Spy had just escaped from the Tsoo base and ran down the streets of Skyway City, back to her apartment building in Peregrine Island.

She walked inside her apartment. She hadn’t been there for a long time, not since the last accident in the Tsoo base.

She laid down on her bed and called her mother’s cell phone.

“Hello?” asked the voice on the phone.
    “Mom?” asked Silent Spy.
“Jessica? Is that you?” asked the voice.
    “Yes, mom,” said Silent Spy.
“Why did you call?” asked Cassandra, her mother.
“I needed to talk to you about that ring,” said Silent Spy.
“I’m actually talking to Cadao Kestrel about that right now,” said Cassandra.
“What did he say?” asked Silent Spy.
“He said that it contain some life form of negative energy,” said Cassandra.
“Yes, and the Tsoo want it,” said Silent Spy.
“How do you know that?” asked Cassandra.
“They held me hostage for a bit,” said Silent Spy.
“Are you at your home?” asked Cassandra.
“Yes, come here as soon as possible,” said Silent Spy.

Silent Spy hung up the phone, showered and changed into more normal and comfortable clothing, a pair of jeans and a sweater. A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door.

Silent Spy opened the door and welcomed her mother and Cadao Kestrel inside.

    “Hello again,” said Cadao.
“You two know each other?” asked Cassandra.
“Yes, she helped me with the Envoy of Shadow,” said Cadao.
    “Impressive,” said Cassandra.

Cassandra, Cadao and Silent Spy sat down in the kitchen.

“Mom,” said Silent Spy. “You’re in danger. The Tsoo are looking for you.”
“You are in danger, too, Jessica,” said Cassandra. “You escaped from them, not to mention, the Tsoo always are looking for you.”
“I can handle myself,” said Silent Spy.
“Jessica, I want you to stop being a hero,” said Cassandra.

Silent Spy paused and was shocked.

“I can’t do that,” said Silent Spy.
“You can still protect yourself if needed,” said Cassandra. “I just don’t want you looking for danger. You can get a job.”
“I already have a job,” said Silent Spy. “I’m a hero.”
“I don’t want to put your life into danger,” said Cassandra.
“But the city needs me,” said Silent Spy. “Paragon City needs heroes.”
“A new hero has arrived in Paragon City,” said Cadao Kestrel.

Silent Spy looked confused as Cadao and her mother smiled at each other.

    “Who?” asked Silent Spy.

    Cadao looked at Cassandra.

“No,” said Silent Spy, realizing what is happening. “You can’t do that. You just told me not to be a hero, now you become one?”
“I was able to fight off a terrible danger a few nights ago,” said Cassandra.
“But the Tsoo are looking for you,” said Silent Spy.
“I fought a monster, Jessica,” said Cassandra. “A Circle of Thorns monster.”
“You can’t be a hero,” said Silent Spy. “What powers can you do? Read minds?”
“I can do more now,” said Cassandra. “The ring, that life form, gave me powers.”

Silent Spy stood up from her seat.

    “Show me,” said Silent Spy.

Cassandra stood up and walked into the center of the room. She concentrated hard and then, there was a flash of light. Dark, smoky, negative energy appeared in her place. The smoke cleared and revealed a floating monster in the shape of a shrimp, with tentacles of negative energy and glowing eyes.

“What the…,” said Silent Spy as she stared at her mother in her new form.
“She is a Kheldian,” said Cadao from the table.
    “A what?” asked Silent Spy.
“Kheldian,” said Cadao. “A Warshade, to be precise.”
