Error Code: 8 (DownloadFileCorruption):
Corruption detected in a downloaded file 'C:\Games\City of Heroes\CityOfHeroes_Main_2060.201108180101.1.0To21 00.201109140228.1.0.ncpatch'.
I have been trying to update since Friday night. I've tried trickle downloading and I have tried straight updating. Twice I was able to try to repair piggs and watched it go through 103 files, only to fail half way through with a statement that it couldn't repair any more.
Now I don't even get that far, it just continuously tries to down load the patch over and over and over again.
I just got again, at the end of yet another attempt while I was composing this message:
'City of Heroes is not currently able to repair itself. You may attempt to repair later by right clicking on the game and selecting repair.'
Which starts the patch process (which is apparently corrupted) all over again...
The down load takes 30 minutes, no biggie, and about 3 minutes to tell me yet again.. that it failed. I tried a trickle down load over night and woke up to the session froze with the same bloody message as above. I no longer even get the choice of trying to repair. Just restarts the patch process over and over with the same conclusion.
I know others are playing the game without any issues. I cannot even get to that point.
While composing this message, my last update try failed, again. With this message when I tried to repair
'City of Heroes is not currently able to repair itself. You may attempt to repair later by right clicking on the game and selecting repair.'
Only restarts the patch process, with apparently a corrupted file yet again.
