A perfect example of wooly thinking we see far too much of in this game unfortunately. Unlike CoH which has some very obvious setups for a healer with powersets like Empathy, it seems that healing has been kind of squished in CoV with no defined healer powerset. While corrupters do have a few heals, i think its more as a minor support role for use in between Nukes. After all 'The corrupter is the primary ranged-attack class in City of Villains' . I personally play fire/fire and while i do have heals, i wont just stand there and heal, as far as im concerned im a damage dealer first and support second. I would like to see more people take the medicine pool and share the load, after all isnt that what its there for?

yeah looks like this mornins patch to disable pet emotes is to blame since bridger says the hotfix isnt workin properly on Union...hence the server bein down again at the moment

Anyone else noticed the MM pet naming bug has returned? Annoying since they put a fix out for it on the 15th according to the patch notes.
But no this morning i renamed the pets on my MM and every time i re call them, they are back to being all called 'Bob 1' and 'Bob 2'. Doesnt affect gameplay too much, but it is irritating.

What that means is that you need to be stood next to your pets to heal them.

Like I said though, I'm a little vague on /Dark, having never used the set.

yes it is dependant on a target and other than with this toon its my favourite heal. i find it to be extremely powerful even though to be efficient with it i need to slot it up for accuracy. i can be stood next to my minions and i will be healed but they wont...im guessing that this individual toon is just [censored]'d. no biggy was only a test toon anyway

i had a ninja/dark MM at release and used Twilight grasp with great success. that toon is long gone as robots are more fun but i re rolled one a few days ago to test something and no matter how i try Twilight refuses to heal my minions.

Issue 7 went live a few days ago and it's horrendous on there. Crashes every couple of hours, mapserver disconnects all over the place. Spawn sizes all over the shop and in stupid places.

Having said that, it's great fun. We now have mayhem missions where you can just go wild destroying things all over the place. Level 40-50 content added so we can start levelling again. A new PvP zone covering characters up to lvl 50.

Just like any other major release, there's good and bad. I think the good far outweighs the bad but it's still infuriatingly unstable

I was wandering amongst the threads and noticed the SuperVillains Recruitment Corner thread, i took a look and its a good thread but more for VGs to advertise themselves than for Villains looking for a VG. As a gamer for far too many years, i know that recruitment posts come in both these areas and that any good Recruitment officer is not only going to advertise his group but check the VG wanted threads too.
Maybe that can grow from this thread?

Ok, ive just been liberated from our favourite 'Holiday camp' and im up for some Hero Splattin Payback and a fair bit of general trouble making.

Well not really. Ive been playing both sides of the game since just before the release of CoV, a friend and i have really just messed about with various powersets (over and over)never getting past the early 20s. We even started our own VG (Evil Inc.) just so that we didnt get spammed with invites.
My friend has since left the game and ive just come back after a few months away and am wanting to settle in and get somewhere with the game.
Im looking for a mature VG preferably one with an 18+ membership, one that isnt overly serious as i believe that gaming is all about having fun, yet not too laid back that the VG is chaotic. A VG that isnt so big that people dont really know each other but not so small that theres hardly ever anyone online. ( I know im fussy )

Im a heavy gamer and will be spliting my time between here and Guild Wars. But will be in CoV probably 4-5+ hours a day most of the time. I dont really know that much about the game so its all about learning and having fun for me.
Im currently playing a Robot/Force Fields MM as its the easiest i found for soloing. Not sure if thats def the toon i want to take all the way as i quite like the Dominators play style.

So if your VG is looking for semi serious gamer thats fairly laid back and enjoys a laugh, and think you may have room for me give me a shout ohso_tolerant@ntlworld.com
Ive not left my ingame name as i dont really want spamming with invites while im in game.

until recently i loved my Bot master but now im on the verge of deleting him. my drones are fine...brave little soldiers that rush in and slaughter everything they can, but their little lives are shortlived coz my protector bot spends all its time on its mobile phone.
wot the heck is the point of a protector bot that is either to lazy or is a total amnesiac that has forgotten its supposed to heal. we have tried every tactic possible but protector bots are just screwed.
sure there may be a recharge timer on the heal but i seriously doubt its 5 mins long. i have just done 2 missions where the protector bot didnt heal once, dismissing and recalling doesnt help either. im not some one new to mastermind as i have 3 of them and i do have my individual commands all nicely programmed to my Numberpad (thanks Khaiba)
as far as im concerened the AI is just rubbish or screwed or more likely both.
