  1. Hey,

So, this pc (http://us.toshiba.com/computers/lapt...70/X775-Q7272/) was bought so COX could be played...

However, after NCSoft Launcher is started, and then City of Heroes is started as normal...

It crashes during the loading screen, pretty quickly.

The specs of this pc are pretty good! Does COX and NCSoft Launcher need to be reinstalled?

I was browsing around and some other threads said that they had crashes some times or after being in-game a while... but this crash happens at the same point, every time.

    Thanks, bye.

Ultimately, you're going to struggle with that chipset, no matter what you do.

I can't thank you enough but this has fixed the problem. Not only do my contacts pictures and costume pictures show again but now, there is no lag, slowdowns, and other problems I had been facing. Didn't think it would also fix that so I didn't mention it. The pc seems to be a little better overall. Thankyouthankyouthankyou! \(^_^)/
  3. Thanks for your quick reply.

Yes, I know about ATI and nVidia. I tell others the same. Haha.

I wasn't given this laptop with City of Heroes in mind but since it worked it I thought I'd play again.

I had an deskstop before and had to get a new videocard because of the onboard one...

I have the most up-to-date drivers from Toshiba. x_x
  4. Hi!

I've been looking at others who have posted here and around other sites about this problem...

My laptop came with Vista and City of Heroes worked fine then... but I upgraded to Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. This was maybe a year or two ago. Since then, the game does not show the contact pictures or costume pictures. They are just black. Once, I noticed one contact picture did have like, rainbow colored stuff, but that's about it.

    Here are the specs: http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/...sp?poid=433308

    And here is this thing:
