Kaeda Chi
Some characters belong to COV/COH creaters , and I have no right to them.
The elevator doors opened slowly. All of the guards stood there, waiting to shoot. But when they could see nothing inside they lowered their weapons. "No......don't put down your wepons, stay ready for anything......I know she is in here, somewhere,"the oldest man in the room said, he was their leader. The men stared at the elevator ready to shoot once more.
She walked sighlently through the crowd of men unseen. The young woman could feel her black belt swish back and forth as she walked slowly making sure not to touch one of them. Her eye was on the leader, he was the one she was sent after. She walked around the leader and stopped a couple feet behind him. Her eyes closed and she stopped focusing on her chi. Chi is the energy within all people, but few can tap into its power, and if you can tap into it you need to know how to control. With her chi abilities she could go invisable, use chi blasts, make her kicks and punches more powerful, and more. The woman was was also very skilled in martial arts. Her ability to control and use her chi gives her her nick name, Kaeda Chi. Kaeda slowly opened her eyes to see her brown hair infront of her left eye. Under Kaeda's right eye was a black tatoo, it was the sighn of her school she was trained at. It was a straight line rurved at the end under the eye, all the fighters of the school had it. But Kaeda was not a member of the school anymore. She had been sent to Rough Isles to kill Lord Recluse a few years ago. Kaeda tried to kill him, but she failed. She was too ashamed to go back to her school on her first mission, so she staid in Rough Isles, under the command of Lord Recluse, because Kaeda only surves the ones she cannot beat. Lord Recluse was the one who sent her after this man, but she had no idea why. Kaeda turned around to face the leader's back side of his head. She bowed and did a swing kick that hit him in the side of the head. He stood still for a second, and then fell down to the ground.
All of the guards turned around quickly to the sound of the motionless body hit the ground, but there was no one there. The killer had gotton away. But then a beep was heard from behind them, it was the elevator shutting and going down. Now the killer had escaped. Two men rushed to the body. "Father...."the one man said. The other man just broke down in tears. All of the other men kneeled down in honor of their dead leader.
Kaeda walked out of the building, her hair flying out of her face as the freezing air took its place. She shivered a little and then took out the ringing device in her pocket. "Yes?" Kaeda aske into the microphone. "Is it finished?"the dark mysteriouse voice asked her. "Only the best way possible,"she answered. "Good, very good,"the voice said back,"Come back to the base, I have a new target for you." "I'll be there as soon as possible,"Kaeda said and turned off the device. She was thinking,"Yeah right, I'll see you after I take a nice break at the club, Pocket D to be posific." BBut Kaeda could not go to her favorite club at the moment, or else Lord Recluse might get mad, and then Kaeda might be his next target. So Kaeda started off for Lord Recluse's base, and she hoped she would not run into Ghost Widow, because she really creeped the heck out of her.

Kaeda walked into the base, the lights were dim. It felt clamy in the room she was in, maybe Captain Mako had been in here. Kaeda slammed the metal door behind her. "Who is entering?"the cold creepy voice asked her. "Me,"Kaeda answered,"Our lord has asked to see me." Ghost Widow phased out of the wall right of Kaeda. "Right this way,"Widow said to her. Kaeda nodded and started to follow the hovering pale skinned woman down the hallway.
Kaeda followed Ghost Widow down the hallway in silence until one of the two spoke at last. "So you finished off the third Protector?"Widow asked. Kaeda spoke back,"Of corse...did you think I would fail?" Ghost Widow stopped,"Well, I guess you can't fail with your chi abilities,"she said to Kaeda. Kaeda smirked as Ghost Widow hovered on forward again.
Neither of them spoke again down the hall until they came to a wide door with a red spider sighn on it. "You may enter,"Ghost Widow said. Kaeda walked around Ghost Widow, and then through the door. The room was big, it had a 20 foot screen across the wall for when someone called, a skinny metal table, and a few chairs round it. "Well done,"Kaeda heard from besides her. She turned her head to see Lord Recluse stepping out of the shadows.
Kaeda got a little grin across her face as she heard her master's words. "Impressive, none of his guards even saw you,"said Recluse. He was all the way out of the shadows now to reveal what he was wearing, it was the same as always, his hellmet, his cape, his eight steel claws coming out of his back(see COV for more details). "No, not one of them saw me,"Kaeda said back. Lord Recluse laughed while saying,"Exellent work." Recluse sounded happy, but his red glowing eyes looked angry all the time. Kaeda bowed,"Thank you,"she said,"So you said you had a new target for me?" Recluse stopped laughing and nodded at once.
"Yes,"he answered,"As you know we have been hunting down a sertan few to get what we need." Kaeda nodded once more to his words,"About that, my Lord, why am I hunting down these Protectors?"she asked him. Lord Recluse seemed to think she would never ask this question by how long he was taking to answer.
"There is five Protectors,"he said to her,"Of a item that I we need to overcome the heores, but each hero, or former hero, is a obstickle to get to this treature. You see, each person's power is a challenge to getting the item...so when we kill each person, their obstickle will fade. And the reason I have chozen you to do this job is because you can not be seen when you don't want to, and if someone saw you they might go tell another one of the Protectors to get the item before we do,"Lord Recluse explained to Kaeda.
Kaeda gave this alot of thought. "So....when all of the Protectors are dead.....the item will be unprotected?"she asked. Recluse nodded. "Wait, so they found a way to multiply their powers, and turn them into a obsticle?"Kaeda asked another question. "Well...your close, this item has all five of the Protectors powers in it, and then when all five Protectors are dead, all five powers will be gone from the item..."he said answering her question. Kaeda spoke once more,"So what IS this item?"
Lord Recluse paused,"We will disscuss this later, but now you need to get to your next target. Her name is Claire White, she dropped out of the hero buisness long ago. She'll be easy to find, she always takes herself to Pocket D over winter to enjoy the snow. Claire is in the ranch, I have taken the honor of getting her room number for you, it's 24R,"Recluse said. Kaeda felt happy that she was actually getting to go to Pocket D. "I'll get to it as soon as possible,"she said to her master. Kaeda turned around and started to walk out the door. "Oh, and Kaeda,"Lord Recluse said,"There is a transportation waiting for you, go to Kalinda she will escort you to the hellicoptor." Kaeda nodded and then stepped out.

Kaeda walked up the steps of the tower. She passed a dozen new villains on her way up, they were all heading to their first missions from Kalinda. "Wanna be in my team?!"a new villain asked Kaeda. Kaeda stared at him. "No....."she said and walked right passed him. "Well....then, wanna be friends?"the villain asked her. Kaeda stopped and turned around quickly,"NO! WHY WOULD I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH A NEWBIE WHO I JUST SAID I DID NOT WANT TO BE IN THEIR TEAM?!"Kaeda yelled at him. The villain just turned away looking a little upset. "Save it for Claire, Kaeda,"someone said from behind.
She turned around to see Kalinda. "Nice to see you again, Kaeda,"she said to her. Kaeda sighed,"Where's the transportation?"she asked Kalinda. "Right this way,"she said and jestjerd Kaeda towards a hellicopter on the side of the tower. Kaeda walked passed Kalinda to the hellicoper.
"Good luck on your mission,"Kalinda called after here. "Don't worry, I'll do fine,"Kaeda relpied. Kaeda reached the hellicopter, there was four arachnose followers waitnig for her. "Allow me to help you up,"one of the suited men to told her. Kaeda pushed him away from her as he reached for hewr hand. "No thanks, I can get up on my own,"Kaeda snapped at him. The follower nodded and shut the door behind Kaeda as she stepped in.
Two of the suited men were sitting up front, they were the piolets Kaeda guest. The other two men were shutting the door still, and the other man standing by one of the windows. Kaeda took a seat on one of the chairs, but it was very lumpy. She waited for a few minutes and then the hellicopter took off.
They flew up, and up, and up untill the tower looked like one of the ants in Lord Reclus' base. But they just kept going until one of the men hit a button where all of the controls were. All of a sudden there was a light blue flash. Kaeda shut her eyes as the light got brighter. There was a loud bang, and then the light was gone.

Kaeda opend her eyes to see all of the men in the same positions they had been in. "We're here,"one of the piolets said. Kaeda looked out the window closest to her, they were just landing on a rock that had snow covering it. Far below them was the ranch, the slopes, and many heroes and villains sliding all around. Floating a whiles into the distance was the Pocket D club, You enter the winter area by a door in Pocket D.
"Now we split,"the man said opening the door. Kaeda shut her eyes and tapped into her inner chi once more. She opened her eyes to be invisable. She stood up and walked out the door. Kaeda heard the snow crunch under her feet as she walked. She heard the loud bang again, the hellicopter was gone.
Kaeda managed to make it down the rock, she slipped a few times, but she made it. A short man almost ran Kaeda over while sliding down the slopes. Kaeda walked inside the ranch, it was so packed she could barely move. She thought for a moment and tried to remember Claire White's room number. Kaeda also wondered if Claire would put up a better fight then the last three Protectors she had taken out.
Kaeda ran into a hero, she had not been paying attension to where she had been going. The hero dropped a poster on the ground infront of Kaeda. "DJ Zero has made sure there is NO fighting on Pocket D grounds,"Kaeda read to herself. "Sorry,"she said quietly,"But I'm going to have to break that rule."
Kaeda made it through the crowd of people and over to the fire place. "Please!"she heard someone yelling over all of the noise,"Someone needs to save my son, Baby New Year, without him we cannot have New Year!" The bearded old man was the one yelling over all of the talking, but noone seemed to care what he was saying.
"Can I get you anything?"the female bar tender asked a man walking by. "Did it hurt when you fell down from heaven?"a nerdy looking boy asked a girl in purple. "Pathetic..."Kaeda said to herself. The girl in purple seemed to agree with Kaeda since she was walking away rolling her eyes. Kaeda looked around a little bit more and then saw a hallway with numerous doors. She guest it was where all of the visitors were staying.
"24R,"Kaeda kept saying while walking down the hall. She was lookng for Claire's room. Kaeda had just finished passing the P section. She quickly jumped to the side of the hallway as one of the doors opened. "I think we should go skiing,"the woman leaving the room said to the man behind her. "Well, I THINK we should go see the hovering car,"the man said to her. Kaeda waited for the couple to walk a ways down the hall until she started moving again. She took a long breath as the two turned. Kaeda started to move on again.
She just was entering the Q section when she heard a gun shot. "Get back here you theif!"Kaeda heard someone shout. A young looking boy ran past Kaeda holding a fifthteen dollar bill. Right after the boy was a buff looking man with a sluger. "I'm GOING to catch you!"he yelled after the kid. Kaeda saw the man shoot again at the boy, but the kid turned around the corner to quick and the bullet hit the wall.
Their was a faint sound, it sounded like when someone was giving a buff to a team mate. But this time it was not a buff being given, it was something else. Kaeda turned her head to where the man was standing, he was suddenly frozen still with a painful look on his face. Then the man and his sluger slowly faided away to reveal a police machine behind him. Kaeda had seen these machines in Paragon before, they would zap the villains to jail. "I guess they weren't kidding when they said not to fight in here,"Kaeda thought to herself,"I guess I'll have to make a quick get away before they catch me."
Kaeda passed the Q section and into the Rs. "Thank God,"she said quietly. It seemed like these doors went on forever. Kaeda passed room after room. R18, R19, R20, R21, R22, R23, R24. She put her ear to Claire's door and tried to hear if anyone was inside. Kaeda could not tell, so she shut her eyes and looked deeper into her chi. She opened her eyes, the door was gone, or at leaste it looked like it. Kaeda had just focusted her chi to her eyes and used it to see through the door.
No one was in the room. In the room was just a bed, a maroon chair, and a dresser. Kaeda shut her eyes and focusted on being invisable again. She opened her eyes and opened Claire's door. Kaeda stepped into the room and looked around once more to make sure no one was in it. Kaeda shut the door after she made sure no one was in there with her. Infact it looked like Claire had not even gotten here yet. There was no suitcase, or any trace of showing anyone had been in here. So Kaeda sat on the maroon chair and planned on nwaiting for Claire to arrive.
