    That still means that only people with Knockback powers would move the ball, and it wouldn't have the physics aspects that you'd want, since it has to follow knockback rules rather than particle movement rules. It would not 'bounce' properly off of objects.

    All of that said, it *could* be done, but I doubt we have the free time in the schedule anytime soon, and even at that it would be fairly low priority. My guess is you'll see it around the same time as the Giant Tape Worm.

    I don't think we would be too picky on the physics of it. So make it a big red ball enemy, that has 100% damage resistance, and has no knock back resistance. I realize that those without KB powers would be left out but if you *really* wanted to play with the ball, you could take Kick and have a 1 and 4 chance of making it move.

    air superiority would replace itself as the most popular pool attack. it might even take over brawl as the most common attack power in the game


    *edit* it took forever to for this tread to start "flaming" but since we got a dev post it has doubled in views in like a day and a half. i wish my posts had that kind of power

    Its not illogical at all. I don't see how this could be included into the game without breaking the game immersion. And that's even before we start talking about lag.

    Mini-games? Fine. Basket ball in one of the many basket ball courts? Fine. Bowling at the Bowling Centre? I'd probably be there. Masses of super heroes chasing round the city after a big red ball? No thanks. I'd rather we stick to the genre.

    are you trying to say that if a super hero was walking down the street and saw a big red ball on the street that he wouldn't go play with it because it would be too silly for him to do so? I have to disagree. Most superheroes are humans at their core. Humans enjoy simple pleasures and it doesn't get much simpler than a big red ball. I don't think breaks emersion any more than costume contests or "come find me somewhere in AP" contests. There are enough emersion breakers in the game to make a big red ball nothing more than white noise on the "thats not realistic" meter. Get over it and support the BRB!

  19. the problem would be the ball hog hiding behind a dumpster with brawl on auto hitting against a wall. it would be hard to find and hard to take back. Basically the way i see it is that the ball should have no positive or negative ramifications for hitting it, it should just be there for you to hit if you feel like it.

    I'm weary of a badge for the ball. That will lead to ball hogs and anyone who was in the 3rd grade will tell you that the kid who never lets go of the ball is no fun. It should be available for purchase in bases at a minimal cost.

  23. does anyone else see this as the solution to the lack of end game content? I do. I still think a single ball in a single zone with no set rules or purpose is the way to go. if no one touches the ball for a minute or so it comes to a stand still and stops bouncing. Let any games be totally player constructed and player governed.

    there should also a BRB option in the arena and maybe a ball in Pocket D as well but as far as regular zones are concerned it should be one ball one zone. This ball should be undamagable and have all attacks just move it. no phasing the ball, no "holding" the ball, just bouncing the ball. every attack bounces the ball. With this a skilled player with a damage aura could possibly be able to bounce the ball on his/her head indefinately or at least until a blaster came by and sniped it.
