I was going to stay out of the "Just quit/you're just a Fanboy" thing, but I wanted to interject at this point... Both sides are correct.
In a thread the devs set up for feedback, it is completely acceptable to give negative feedback on whatever it is they've set it up to discuss. That feedback can even be scathingly negative and still fall under the purpose of the thread. In those thread to say "if you don't like it, why don't you quit" is to miss the entire reason the thread is there. The Devs want feedback. I'm sure they'd love that feedback to be all positive, but if it's negative, that is within the limits of what they've asked for. In the specific case of this thread, "grousing" (not a shot, Soul, I just love that word) is perfectly fine about any aspect of the Wedding Pack, the VDay missions or any other aspects of the VDay events/plans. To say '"why don't you just quit" and its variants adds nothing to the discussion and makes it seem as if negative feedback is unwanted and unwelcome and will lead to being "attacked" on a personal level (and yes, "why don't you just quit" is an attack on a personal level in most cases it's been used in here, the same as if it was change to "don't let the door his you in the butt on the way out" would be) if more negative feedback is posted.
With that said, in a thread started expressely to simply rant and rave against the game (not a specific aspect of it, but the game as a whole or a major portion of it), yes, "why haven't you just quit" IS an acceptable response since it questions the posters motivation for staying with something they have expressed their displeasure with. As long as the question is posted as a real search for reasoning, it is acceptable in that case (and an honest answer may surprise you). For instance, one poster here has expanded from "the Wedding Pack is stupid and a money grab" to "the whole game is stale and boring" (to simplify the arguments) and asking "why haven't you quit" is acceptable for those aspects of his argument that are NOT to do with the wedding pack, but this isn't the thread to ask it in, else the thread derails a little more each time.
All that said, the game isn't perfect. Some people might believe it is, but I'm betting they're rare (and, to be honestly, willfully blind, since bugs do exist and can be pointed to easily just as someoen who says the whole game sucks is willfully blind). To dismiss someone's feedback, feedback that was requested, is to dismiss the chance for pointing out or reenforcing the idea for improvements. By the same token, to constantly use threads, regardless of the thread's intended or stated purpose, to air your grievances with what you think of as real problems in the game only weakens your possibly real and possibly valid points that do pertain to the thread and makes it very easy to dismiss your position as that of a malcontent out to just whine. -

Sorry for the dumb question, but I was in tech support when the first question was "Is it plugged in?" and that solved the problem in a surprisingly large number of cases.
It should have gone active minutes after you applied it. If you've not logged out since then, log out and back in then try to find them. Some of my SG people couldn't find theirs until they logged out and back in after buying it while still in the game. If that fails, (and, assuming you have CoH as well) try to find them on a hero. If that fails you have a problem likely beyond the scope of what any of us could help you with and it's off to support. -

Think of the other possibilities for packs like this.
Wedding Night Pack
Pregnancy Pack
Baby Pack
2.4 Children & Mortgage Pack
Affair Pack
Bobbit Pack
... and of course..
The Divorce Pack (halves your influence/infamy,lose half your enhancements)

The Divorce Pack, however, does have a perm-temp power, a pet that spawns the moment you log in and cannot be dismissed called "Your Lawyer." He has several postures "gettign paid", "on retainer" and "actively pursuing the case"). These postures don't actually change anythign but how he stands around behind you and his NPC chatter. He follows you around and subtracts 30% of all your influence and prestige earnings, takes every third drop and says things like 'wow, that guy assaulted you, we should sue" but otherwise doesn't really do anything. Once every 3 months, he does "sue" some baddies and that opens up the "go to trial" missions, where you sit in a courtroom for 3 or 4 hours for weeks at a time. These are timed missions, and if you leave or decide not to run them or cannot get to the mission before the special "time to mission start" timer runs out, you fail and are held in contempt, costing you some influence and XP. You have to do these missions for about a month. Two years later, the case does get settled and the appeal missions are done and you get a massive influence award, which the lawyer pet divies up to legal fees and his charges, leaving you with about 10 influence.
Now that's a value pack for 10 bucks, costumes ("Good Suit/Dress" options, wooden barrel costume), temp power, emotes ("Anger while on the phone," "looking over legal briefs," "testify," and "write large check to lawyer") and special missions with two or more arcs (trial, and several appeal processes). -

You know, it just hit me, this is the second (and seemingly lesser of the two) Valentines faux pas the devs have made.
Remember the "get a friend to buy CoH/CoV get costume items" firestorm from two years ago? Admitted, on scale, this is a less intense fire, but it does feel mildly familiar. What is it about Valentines Day and costume items together along with the Devs doing something new that does this? -

This may have been mentioned already (I didn't read through every page) but the price would seem more reasonable if it also included a month of game time like the GvE package did. Charging for "extra" content is a bad idea, IMO.

FYI, the GvE Goodie Pack didn't have a free month and cost 9.99 (and still does from the NC Store). The GvE Box did and cost 20 bucks at release (at least locally).
The CoH DvD Bonuses pack DID have a free month with it, but it cost 19.99.
I seriously think the price isn't the real issue many people have with the Wedding Pack. The problem is price vs what you get. The GvE pack feels like a better value simply because it has more utility (the two temp powers alone are "worth the 10 bucks" to most people, to some the jump pack was worth the 10 bucks by itself). The wedding pack just feels really light for the same price. I have few doubts that most of the complaints about the Wedding Pack would vanish if the Devs had included the "Get Me To The Church On Time" Temp Teleport power that ports you instantly to the gate of your choice in the zone you're in or to the tram station in your current zone or some such. Even something as low utility as that would have made the price feel better since it's something with some universal utility. -

Just a little feedback on this one.
1. We should know exactly what we're buying. Images of each costume piece and each emote (preferably animated) would be really helpful. We shoudn't have to run all over the forum and internet to find them, either. Shots should be with the "ad material" and on the purchase page.
2. This thing is pretty light, IMHO, for 10 bucks when stacked up to the utility of the GvE pack.
3. This one is very specific to this particular "pay pack." It should work properly the moment it's introduced. Admitted, this is a "minor" thing since it's going to get fixed, but going out broken in the first place just doesn't look good.
4. I freely admit a little gut-revulsion at the idea of CoH switching to a mall-style "micro expansion" setup like this. I prefered to have my monthly fee and the occasional super-size paid expansion. -

I don't know, Marketing apparently loves these things. The Marketing Department might show up with baseball bats if they don't have them.
