My understanding is that you very much enjoy the MasterMind ATs as well whatever secondary you chose (sounds like Storm) but are unsatisfied with your choice of pets.
I can understand that, not everyone likes the same pets. No you will not be able to choose a new set of pets for your current character (ever) and your only option is to recreate from level 1.
If you are concerned about giving up the SG you have joined, along with the base you are enjoying, don't be. Just contact one of the leaders and let them know you have an Alt you would like to bring into the group. Most people will gleefully do it As simple as that.
If a swarm of high level baddies is killing you in a second I suggest that you might of increased your difficulty level too much. As has been mentioned not every combination can solo giant mobs all the way from 1 to 50 but these same ones can do other neat things.
Play with your difficulty settings and you will find the right combination for you. Occasionally you will come across a group that will devestate you even at the new settings. Thats part of the game. You can't be awesome versus everything all of the time.
You made a comment about AE and how it was designed for Farming. Well in all actuallity that isn't true.
Granted that is what the AE system has more or less devolved into the idea of it was to allow players to create STORIES for other players to enjoy. There are a good number of writers and there work being enjoyed still being enjoyed. Wander down to the Mission Architect Forum to find some fantastic arcs.
Besides I really think people are farming Tip missions for the merits. That would make sense to me.
You made a comment somewhere about not wanting to waste a slot on Freedom by remaking your villian. There are a lot of slots there, twelve if I recall correctly. There are a lot of servers as well, each with their own personalities.
Not sure if any of that helps at all but I felt the need tot try. We all love the City and it makes us sad to see a new player not enjoy it to the fullest.

Forbin_Project dose not understand that i know how to play and have skills whatever i farm or not. Farm is good anyways to build your base who in the world wan'ts a base thats a cube and just a teleporter inside. -

2 more TF's isn't going to drastically expand the end game content, and the Alpha slotting is just going to give level 50 characters more reasons to farm so their builds can be more powerful.

Better than being sent to a hospital or have no revives on you. i picked tornado for the heck of it but when i came and hit the idea to how to kill a red name i used that skill and my pets to do the attacks wile i have endurance to keep the tornado on. And fly, now fly is vary useful in mercy island to get over those giant walls now is it? better than running far out to find a door huh? and the missions you go to is so close to the walls its not easy going to point a to point b by foot. Thats when fly comes in to help you. -

Go right ahead. There are plenty of people that use people to door sit because they enjoy more difficult missions. Your only hurting yourself by letting other people play the game for you.
You'll get bored and cancel your sub when you realize this game isn't about end game content and you have nothing to do at 50 but farm.
and when i mean reseting powersets one time only for only 1 account and only to those who payed the game for 12 or what months can only do it once. its not like doing it one time and you will never gain anymore because it knows you already gain this becuse its in the system to pervent you from getting it and not sellable on black market dose not mean "Oh no we gave it out to people that only use one time we ruined and unbalanced the game we will have to shut it down now bye bye. like how that can ever happen" -

Oh and farming isn't cheating. Abusing exploits is cheating. If the devs were against farming they simply would make all missions timed or unrepeatable.

If the OP wants to play a game that allows that I suggest he try that other super hero game that allows people to customize their power sets. The one that has lost so many customers it's been forced to go F2P because people found out custom built builds suck. -

Will you calm down for a second and actually read all the posts from people who have replied. I am not paying $300 million influence/infamy for a respec either. Other than all of the above ways to get a respec, you can also get them from vet rewards. So relax and actually play the game to get a respec. You can also just select your second build from any trainer and re-do your build that way (you won't be able to use any of the enhancements from your other build though).

So run a Respec Trial instead surely? Am I missing something here? Is there some reason you cannot run the respec trial and save yourself 300 million? (or wait 2 levels / 2-3 weeks and run the Patron Arc / wait for i19) -

You're aware that for the last 3 months the Hero and Villain markets are one and the same, right? That 300 million is the same both sides.
If you're level 38 then you can earn one at 40 simply by running the Patron Pool arc instead.
Or wait 2-3 weeks for i19 to come out, there will be freespecs coming with that due to the Fitness Pool changes. -

Ummm...Villains have just as many options as heroes do, you know. You can run one of the three respec trials, buy a respec recipe, use a freespec if you have one, or buy one from the store.

I'm not sure where to speak with this, but i am not happy for villains can't reset there char, and don't reply to me saying you must do it the hard way like everyone else dose. Thats like ignoring life and spend years on a pc without eating and sleeping.
(No i will not waste a slot, i will not abandon my hard work getting to level 38 i will not give up my base and my super group i will not waste my time going hero to get a reset the easy way by spending my time and spending more to back to a villain and i spotted a respec(reseting current build) in black market and i will not spend millions of infamy for it, must be why people farm because the amount of infamy is so low)
I'm saying this is because, i love villains but its harsh for not giving villains easy way to reset there powers i don't mind if it was one use only, who ever was selling the respec wan'ts to make us villains more harder for us to get it, as if someone has put food up in your face and as you try to grab it he just moves it away from you trying to tease you to get it. I told on broadcast about how to get it easy from a npc in villain side, I read the other sites its not possible only hero side, Through black market it is but hard to save up, and i don't got the time and infamy to even waste my time on to even grab just one. Someone who puts stuff in this game in a update needs to make it possible not wasting slots and abandon one char after the next. I like to stick to one char and only one and permently stick to it but have the ability to spend less to reset or like they did in The Matrix Online going to a npc and doing that mission and helping a level 1 npc get to his location without dying if that will help make it the same and hard to get the respec item.
All i wan't is be able to reset to choose a different pet to re-spawn, I don't want to change out of MM. But they should give only Masterminds ability to change different pets but with a long period of time to be able to change (pet changing without changing your char weapons. like i saw when using thugs you use duel pistols and with demons you use a whip. but thats just my idea)
