From what I understand, for the most part, doesn't Herostats just work off of reading the log files?

Quote:Even if it increases as you increase mass, it could still be more efficient - especially when crossing dimensions - to do one big one rather than many.Edit: The only way I can see the benefit is if Rikti portal tech does not increase power requirements as you increase mass. So the portal to move the mothership cost just as much as to move a monkey. Then you would save in the long run by performing large troop jumps.
It might take five gold coins per person either way, but not having to pay the ten gold coin start up fee two thousand times makes it cheaper to do it all at once. -

Your welcome, and Welcome!
[recruit] If you ever want a team, try checking out www.repeat-offenders.net, and our global channel is "Repeat Offenders". Almost always someone on. [/recruit] -
Do you have a trial account?
If so, then you shouldn't be making an account, but upgrading the trial.
Go to your CoH/V account page. on the Right side of all pages is a box listing your accounts and a few other things. Click on your CoH/V icon (I've circled mine in yellow).
On the page, click upgrade account (circled in red).

Please note I've blanked out all personal references to my own account - for example, in the circled yellow area it will have your account name. -

Arg! Foiled by photobucket! I had it, but it took forever to upload! *futilely shakes fist at technology*

At the very least the OP would have to re-sub to get into the beta if invited.

If they came out with phone apps for it, I would choose to use it. Watches, keychains... those all I lose and lose often. My iPhone? Always by my side.
I would not mind it as an option. -

Quote:Well, for one, the "Make it the tank" doesn't work on Villains!I agree that a point man shouldn't need to be designated... it should be assumed that it's the tank and the tank should not have a problem doing that, that's what the class was designed for. IMO the only time it should be discussed is when there's two tanks or none.
There's nothing more annoying when teaming that the scenario described above especially if you're the tank. What does come in at a close second however is a tank that is hesitant to move forward which is somewhat understandable at lower lvls but IMO after lvl 20 (if not sooner) you should really be charging in full bore like it's your job, cuz it is
Typically, when I'm tanking I ask "ready?" once at the start of each mission. Moving forward after that I go in at my pace unless someone gives me a compelling reason to slow down and am usually on the next group of mobs while what's left of the last group is falling stopping only when needed (i.e. someone dies). -

Um, from what I recall of the lowbie stuff, Snakes don't belong on that list.
Unless you mean to take "citizens of paragon" literally and not include the Rogue Isles for a Villain-only group. -
Quote:Well, if he bought the $20 version he is fine.I worry when I read "I just bought the City of Heroes Good Versus Evil pack from the NC Soft website", and hope that you didnt just buy the "City of Heroes® Good Versus Evil Edition In-Game Item Pack" which is not the game, but the 'extras' from the GvE Edition for those who originally bought the game as another Edition.

And for the sake of Praise or Complaints, much easier if they don't get a random name out of a list for each petitioner. Random/changing names would just add a layer of complexity that would cause issues more than anything.

Quote:Not sure if it was ever set in stone, but there was talk of them adding a VoIP setup to the NC Launcher - not to the games themselves.Wasn't there a deal struck, last year, with a voice chat company and NCsoft? I could have sworn that there was an article that implied that NCsoft products would be getting their own VoIP communication built into the games?
RO has Vent, and a good number of us like to use it especially on TFs/SFs. For us, biggest issue is the fact everyone sets their mics to different levels of pickup, but you can boost/tone down people on the fly pretty easy. And it has a built in G15 plugin for those with a Logitech LCD. -
Quote:It's Dark Watcher's Save the World mission that has the Nemesis Ambush after/as you defeat Hro'Dotz. And yeah, it's bits of the geometry/sometimes most of what you can (or rather, should see) just turning invisable, like someone flicked a switch. I've noticed at times this will even render the Rikti on the walkways (mostly notice this, personally, on the walkway to either side of the center, which have the portal generators for the Dark Watcher mission) invis... or rather, not render them visible X.XOn the LGTF mission, and at least one other arc where that map is used (don't remember offhand), vast chunks of the geometry are disappearing simply from spinning the camera around. Not those a ways off, but sometimes the walkway that you're standing on top of. IIRC partial objects are being displayed as well, where in Talos for instance it's an entire rock at a time that fades into view.
I was/am still able to tab to target, though. If I get run through it again, I'll try to remember to take screen shots. -
Don't read to much into it yet folks. If you recall, BAB also thought he found a way to make No-Redraw work, but found a biiig hiccup with it

Quote:Any other online options generally involve eBay or Amazon (read : possibly used. I know of a few sellers on Amazon, for example that have tried to tell people "Oh you can use the code more than once!"), and sell for $50+They've had them for sale the past two years and haven't sold out yet -- so it seems likely that they'll have them again next year. Anyone absolutely DYING to have them has had ample opportunity to arrange something to get it. And there are other online options as well. All that together, in my opinion, makes it anything but "hard to find".
And you are right, they didn't mention selling out this year, so they should have them next year. -
I think so far I've only used them for day trips.
You know, RO ITF on freedom, grab my virtue blaster to join in and level him up, etc :P -
Quote:No promise on how many they will have though. Not THAT hard to find -- NCSoft has sold the various "goodies" associated with the edition at Hero Con the past two years (and I know more than a few people have asked that they resume selling it online at some point).
I believe some people had friends pick one up for them if they couldn't attend HC.
And I meant can't get them from NCSoft Online.
