I think the main issue people are having is there is no choice to skip the new mission if the old one was already done.

Doesn't the mac installer just use the basic Updater to install like PC, or does it really need a separate file?

Quote:Yes.
If you get exemplared, IOs more than -3 under your exemplared level no longer count toward set bonuses (as in with 3 of this IO set you get X). Not true with purple sets. Also damage procs do scale.
Some procs that grant a bonus such as the Stamina boost from the Performance Shifter set work regardless what level they are.
ED pretty much nullifies excessive enhancement values. Since pre-ED values are IO level based you may not need to slot 50s when let say 30s or 40s still trigger the ED caps in the enhancement types you are going for.
IO bonuses are the same if the set is made up of minimum level or maximum level for that set.
I'm sure some IO expert will be along to add to and correct any mistakes I made.
Procs are the "Chance to" IOs. As long as you can use the power, it's good. 120s ("and for 120 seconds after activation" - like Numia's unique) are proc-like in their rules for use, and also only care if you can use the power/when you use the power.
Globals, however, are single-IO set bonuses and so do not work if the IO is +4 or greater to your current combat level (exemped to 31 say for a 35 KB Resist IO.)
Purple set bonuses, and from what I recall (to aid in PvP) the PvP IO set bonuses don't care what level you are exemplared to, they work regardless. -
Quote:Part of that, I think is accordign to the wiki she also has two nice ranged dark heals, but are short ranged. So that also keeps her from using them on the tank (the running and the screaming and the yelling and the fighting...)You can make her miss by having enough purples. What I've found works with that many melee characters is to have one main taunt tank that does just that and uses a few ranged attacks and stays back at range. She'll chase that tank around, trying to get into melee, but you can keep backing off, taunting, and using a few range attacks as fillers.
With her concentrating on that one, the other melee characters can do their thing, and she won't use the heal, since she's trying to get to the taunt tank.
If that breaks down, you can also have what melee characters have several range attacks stay back and uses those, and only keep one or two in close. Those doing the range can get in some "run by" attacks in on her...you just don't want them stopping in melee range in case she does her heal.
That's just a couple things teams I've been on have done successfully. -
Out of PToD, AV mez protection isn't really stronger than boss mez protection, in my experience.
The Clockwork Immobilizer Mk. IV, for the final Synapse TF mission against the Clockwork King, holds him through PToD... and is something like Magnitude 100.
PToD is everything but Sleep and Immobilize, 50 pts. of protection. -

I really hate to do this to you Portland, but I gotta!
Quote:Interpretation : COX IS DOOOOOMED! They are actually going to close down.Well, I suppose the lack of info can be viewed as good news in the sense that...there is SO much coming down the line.
Either a) They take longer and longer between issues! b) They need to stop adding emotes and costumes and fix the [coding] bugs(/issues)[/quote]Quote:We know i17 is out there,
They need to tell us or I'll quit! paired with :Quote:we know GR is out there,
They are gouging us for more money! Too many Micro transactions!Quote:we know there is another (presumably mutant) pack somewhere out there...
But then I level too fast! (Not everyone knows about that disable XP option. Or they prefer not to use it and therefor are being made to suffer DXP) Too many level 50 n00bs!Quote:add to that there's bound to be a dbl xp,
This AGAIN! I shouldn't have to team to do missions EVAR!!!!! in an MMO! SNAPTOOTH AGAIN!? AGAIN? REALLY< AGAIN? (Okay, so the Snaptooth argument is valid...Quote:a spring/valentines event...

Quote:Also note that build up procs display the activation message in the "Healing Received" channel.Okay, you guys were great help on the Numina's thing. THanks
Now for Rage, I just threw in Gaussian's full set when I hit 50 a couple weeks ago. The idea was to see if the Chance for Build Up "Gives a 5% chance to have a "Build Up" power effect the caster" affected all my attack powers. The other alternative is that it just affects the one power Gaussian is in, and since Super Strength RAGE does no damage of itself, would be useless. Unfortunately, Brute damage numbers already swing so wildly I cannot judge if it ever happens Does anyone know if the Gaussian's chance for build up is doing me any good in Brute rage? -
That is the self-settable limit. NCSoft also has a limit, based per card, on the number of code purchases. That is not a 30 day limit, but something between 24-72 hours.

Yeah, the trick Caffeine Addict mention was used a lot (although we had no costume save/load ability then) durning CoV beta to play with the hundreds of new parts we had

Quote:The first type is what most call a global IO.All the procs of that type work best in any "always on" power... slotting them into a passive is far and away the best choice.
Here's a small rundown on procs:
- Some procs have a set bonus to them; the Steadfast Protection Resistance/+3% defense unique is the one that comes to mind, that always work no matter what power they're slotted in or if the power's on or not. The Luck of the Gambler 7.5% recharge proc is another example of that type... as long as you don't exemp more than 3 levels below the level of the proc it will always work.
- Other procs are the "120 second" variety; they offer their bonus when a power is activated and for 2 minutes afterward. The Numina unique, Miracle unique, Regen Tissue unique and the various stealth IO's all fall under this heading. For the Numina Regen/Recovery, the Miracle Recovery and the Regen Tissue Regen unique IO's always put them into a passive power so they're active at all times.
- The various attack procs all have a chance to affect your target each time you use the power they're slotted in... lets say you have the Decimation - 20% chance to hold proc slotted into a ranged attack. Every time you fire that attack there's a 20% chance that the proc will fire a MAG 3 hold lasting 8 seconds. A proc that has a chance to do x type of damage works the same way... if an attack with a damage proc slotted hits there's a % chance that it will deal extra damage.
The second is usually referred to as a 120, proc-like120 (especially by the group that believes procs *don't* have 100% chance to go off, base.
As I recall, there is a mez resist IO that is a 120 that makes set bonuses. X.X
And then the procs. -

Quote:Please note that as of current, there are two known examples of "same name" being different than "same bonus".Just so there's no confusion, the deciding factor isn't whether they're the same set, but whether they have bonuses with the same name. You can have 3 sets of one type that has a "large recovery bonus", and 2 sets of another type that also has a "large recovery bonus", and that will count as the max of five for that bonus.
Each KB Protection IO's protection is granted as a set bonus uniquely named after the IO granting it (Steadfast KB Protection, Karma, Zephyr, etc). So right now you could, in theory, have something like 60 points of protection (5x Karma, 5x Steadfast, x Zephyr) providing you had the powers to slot them in...
The Luck of the Gambler Global Recharge Bonus Global grants 7.5% a recharge bonus. And standard set bonuses also have a same sized bonus, but it's named Huge Recharge bonus vs. Luck of the Gambler Recharge Bonus.
Those are the only two I can think of where "5x the same bonus" isn't a good sloppy rule of thumb... -
Quote:To last costume if you didn't already close the program.Dragging this back to on topic - Dechs & je_saist already told you about visiting the Tailor & where to find him/her.
The only other detail worth mentioning is that it will cost you Influence or Infamy to make the change, it's not free. A miniscule amount at level 1 or 2, but still.
If this is your very first character on a brand new account, you might be short of funds. In that case, re-rolling might be the better option. The Costume Creator usually defaults to the last costume (at least the peices, not the colors) when you delete a character, if you didn't save the costume file, making it easier to recreate the look with the new face.
If it costs too much when you check at the tailor, and you don't mind delete and restart, when you are at the tailor you can save your costume there. -

Quote:From what I recall, that was the original "loading" room for the Arena, before they changed the system so it was unnecessary. When they first announced the Mission Architect, I seriously hoped that it would be like a holodeck with that room being the basis for what it looked like without anything loaded. Even though the MA has something a little similar, that room is just awesome. I really wish it got used for something spectacular.

Quote:Couple reasons. One thing I am curious about that isn't related to the thread is why there's a $10 charge to transfer normally. Having transferred as many as I have recently it's obvious that it doesn't take much effort for it to take place, every transfer I've made so far (about 10) has been instantaneous.
To cover the cost of the system (we didn't always have it).
If BAD THINGS HAPPEN it covers the human time to fix it (either repairing the system or if a player's data gets corrupted, etc.)
To discourage over-use. Which probably can cause the above item to happen more. -
Actually, the 120's don't state they have a chance.
Numina's doesn't, at least. -
Yeah, best to update from teh Support site, in my experienec

Note the "goody" for the AE is either the Magic or Cyborg booster.. I recommend the Magic over the Cyborg.

Fear is a "soft" control. It's never dropped toggles.
