Quote:Oh, I know, thus the smiley. The "procs" may actually be the Numina, Miracle, and Regenerative Tissue uniques. Miracle and Numina have fairly attractive 2 slot bonuses, so slotting the uniques and generic Heals from all of those sets for five slots in Health might be an attractive frankenslot strategy.

Quote:Health can't take any procsMy personal strategy which I sometimes stick to:
Add the two slots after they are chosen for a total of three and generic IO them. When you get to level 42 or similarly high, reslot two better generic IOs and throw in a proc. Or, if you're swimming in slots, proccy proc-proc. Though really, only the health has 300m worth of procs you can slot.

Quote:Out of all the thread necros, though, I think this is the best example of an appropriate one that I've seen. I guess 100% appropriate would of been to make a new post and link to this one to show background, but this was just as good.First off: Wow, a bit over 3 months this thread had been buried. This is a bit of a zombie thread.
Yeah - using something like the G-Keyboards (the G11, G15 [two models, older and unavailable one had 18 Gkeys], or what I want - the G19) or keypads like the G13 or Nostromo N52 is fine, as long as you (as I pointed out earlier) are not using it with it's software to fully automate gameplay. Someone using it for a handicap (such as carpal tunnel) would definatly be fine.Quote:Actually there are alternatives: gamepads, rebinding the keyboard to ease controls, or using the mouse for attack powers. Complex timed macros are not needed to play the game. Your friend could play slower, without programming attack chains. -

Gives the basics of level-based debuff resistance.
Look up arch villains there for their extra debuff resistance. -

To give a starting point, I have a Psi/Mental blaster.
I took body armor (Suckit, Traitors!), Surveillance, and LRM.
LRM Rocks.
Surveillance is great, the debuffs are resistible but still nice. Stacked with other debuffs, it works out pretty well. Only "bad" bit is while it does give a miss message in the hit log, you don't get a hit message which I would like to have to see if I'm hitting the guy regularly or not if there is too much FX on the screen.
LRM is great. AoE KB snipe. -
I've never heard of such.
Now, two things about the fact I've never heard of someone being banned for using a G-Board.
First is, they don't talk about "Capt. Dingus was banned for X". They refuse to even mention numbers of banned people/whatever. Closest they get is they might reference a big event of wrongness/expoliting and mention that people were banned in passing.
On the flip side - 1 - the devs and community reps have never mentioned anything about a "crackdown" on extra keys (via a G-Board or Nostromo) and if they were banning due to this they would of mentioned it because the users of such devices are a not insignificant minority, I would think. Also, I have never seen someone raging on these forums or snidely mocking the devs/reps on another (banned) person's behalf. -
Quote:that is incorrect! I would say it would be something more like "Blood Sorcerers". Praetorian names tend to be more violent, not opposite. What would she be named? Peace Sorceress?
I think that War Witch should play a lot bigger role in this game. She was the first hero I learned about due to the comic that game with my game. (and of course the real War Witch is awesome so she deserves to be in the game more) -
We do get blamed for nerfs from time to time, though
By the players. Castle has yet to say "This is nerfed because of RO"
Pinnacle I say! They have a *hick* higher tolerance level...
Eh, don't know about the cat girls. I would say Virtue does.Quote:Not really. Freedom just has more of everything (except RPers, who focused themselves on Virtue). Freedom has more players, more PvPers, more nice people, more ********, more catgirls, more hideous mutant cthulhu worshipers... more everything.
But yeah, Freedom has generally the same "Noise to Signal" ratio as other servers, it's just that a greater population means greater absolute Noise levels. -
Quote:Tracked you down with this. This is my timey-wimey detector. It goes ding when there's stuff. Also, it can boil an egg at 30 paces, whether you want it to or not, actually, so I've learned to stay away from hens. It's not pretty when they blow. You're in the real zone, but it's the zone in the past when you were that level...it's a wibbly wobbly timey wimey thing.

Still trying to reach a consensus as to if it's a bad joke, or just coincidence.Quote:You will get the Oportal power at a lower level too. It's not even grey'd out. But when you use it, you just get an error message that does not allow you to enter it.
It's even worse considering it's based off your trained level... -

Quote:If you knew where to put it, and the format/resolution requirements, it was easy on Win98/98SE to change out the logo on the loading/bootup screen (with the blue bar at the bottom.)My favorite is switching the mouse/key board on the computers, or if someone is away from the computer: printscreen, hide icons, change back ground to the screen shot :-).
Especially if you merely copy/renamed the Norton "Your @#%/You've a virus" screen in there.
I had no guilt doing that to my teachers in high school

The two free slots are granted via a script - they've never mentioned turning it off.

Three sounds right - I know when the put the system in place, it was 2 to everyone PLUS 1 per 12 month badge (12/24/36/48/60/72). So 3 sounds about right, actually.
If only one character has the extra badges, it shouldn't be giving you any slots to worry about loosing. -
Quote:I know Father XMas generally has his 600 & 1200 US$ build computers using a coolermaster chassis.Well, my current case is a Coolermaster 690. Plenty of room, to me, lots of cooling, pretty well laid out and very nice to work in.
Currently housing an i7-860 and Radeon HD 5770. -
Check out the PAX thread in the Going Rogue forum.

Deletion of a temp power must be enabled for each individual power, as well. This is because there are a number of temp powers you "get" that are debuffs - Vahz's Disease being the most well known.

Quote:Or EQ's AA levels - in that game, AAs (alternate advancement) were merely abilities you could pick up via spending XP on them although some had a minimum level. My theory on this is simple: Go Play Planetside
You had both Level Experience and Command Experience. Level Experience was gained for doing "stuff" in the game. Command Experience was granted for your team-mates having done stuff, and for being in command when an enemy base fell.
The actual system worked well enough in Planetside, so my suspicion is, based on what we know so far, is that the Incarnate system will be similar. I can see rewards for completing in-game challenges like Task Forces contributing to Incarnate Levels. -

This is AT & Powers General, not suggestions. Wrong forum

Biggest issue with the set is your trip power. It would not be pretty, if at all doable, with the current game. -
Basically they want you to set up a subscription - but it won't charge until the free time is over (if you put in a CC).
It's not as clear as it could be, for sure. -
Quote:That pic I linked to (might even of been the exact one my friend used) was about as far out as my friend would go. Not only do that hot-linker (and he did it for several products) and my friend both sell on eBay, but my friend has a brick-and-mortar business and uses the website for that to host his eBay images. So no chance of ******.At least it wasn't ******, which is a real risk when stealing someone else's bandwidth (link is perfectly safe).

If I'm not mistaken, the issue is getting the system allow only replies to sent tells. Currently that doesn't work right.
