Wrong forum, my friend.
In the development sub-forum is a "Tech Issues/Bugs" forum - that's where the techie people tend to help out (and would be best able to help you find answers). -

Quote:But even with the old method, the level was locked. It would seem that "abandon mission" is an easier way to "reset" the mission, which people now usually do by exiting, selecting another mission, then reselecting the original mission.
This way you don't need to have an extra mission hanging around to do a reset.
Yes, you cannot get a mission to go higher than it's arc's level, but plenty of times I've picked up a mission at sixteen, the join up with a SG team, and next thing I know I'm 19 with a -3 mission. THis lets me reset it to 19 - independent of Fateweaver/PR settings. Also, there are growing number of "no-cap, level X-50" story arcs. -
Do you leave yourself logged in via "Remember Me" or do you sign out (not simply leave and let the cookie timeout) via the button when done?

Check tooltips under options.
For me, the only ones that are perma-gone are the pop ups at the store, but you can right click on those to bring them up. -
Quote:Know of a guy who got accused of hacking myspace because of that. Ha ha.This is still a bad idea.
Just because they allow remote viewing now doesn't mean they will in the future and your carefully linked image is now pointing to a man doing...horrible awful things to himself that are illegal in most developed countries.
I think what he meant is if you are using a web host like Angelfire - which does not allow hot linking of images at all. If you don't own webspace of your own (as in, pay for it) I would recommend you host your images at someplace like photobucket which allows hotlinking.Quote:Hotlinking is bad. Don't do it (unless a site specifically says hot linking is ok. In that case make sure you actually trust said site) -
As long as I remember to click "log out" it remembers correctly for me. Otherwise, it sticks to when I logged in (so I don't use "remember me" and just letting it timeout doesn't work either).

Quote:Have you been paying attention AT ALL to what goes ON in Paragon? Plus, there is no ICON in Faultline.(Seriously, why does an Asian grocery store need to sell clothing and all those weapons?)
And CK is such a stable, sane individual... -
Quote:Namely...Just... be sure the image is hosted somewhere you can control it or your sure is trustworthy. Last thing you want is your nice appropriate picture being switched out on the hosting site for something that could earn you a vacation from the boards.
You don't want this turning into that...
(Had a friend do that to a "gentleman" who was competing with him on eBay sales. Stealing bandwidth because he was too lazy to host it himself.) -
Quote:Note, that's because between hero and villains, there are an equal number of Accolade powers - If they ever come up with two more powers they want to give out via accolade and is NOT tied to (by theme) new content, there is a good chance those badges would get them, and villains would get two new accolades. The hero versions (Stouthearted and Force of Justice) are 'dead accolades' - they do not grant any accolade power.
Techincally, you're wrong. That's why there was a bunch of issues unlocking a villain side contact for so long - they just so happen to be two identically named, mutually exclusive badges. -
Quote:That bug shouldn't affect this - all the NPC stats reference server-side info. It's also possible that it's your computer clock. If your computer clock is not set correctly then it can screw up some coh calculations. I don't remember if it's when it is set to a day in the future or a day in the past but that's what can sometimes cause results like a character having been offline for 30,000 days.

Quote:0 of course disables the maxfps command, and setting higher than your normal fps does nothing. Also, just a note: I recently discovered the command "/maxinactivefps" (followed by a number 0-999) that reduces the fps of CoX when it's not in the foreground, which should help performance. It's useful for me, since I have 2 monitors, and often do stuff outside the CoX window, but it should also be useful to you if you plan on dual boxing.
I put my number to 5, I can definitely see the difference in framerate when I'm working on the internet on one monitor, with CoX in the "background" of the other. I haven't noticed what it does to performance, but I'm sure it helps.
you can add this as a flag to the command line - I alt tab a lot, and have added
-maxinactivefps 5
to my shortcut's target line. -
If I'm not mistaken, that bind works best using the toggle_on variant of the powexec command, as if the power is already toggled on, it ignores the command. But with the _name version, you can get it stuck on toggling the one power at the end on & off.

Here is the catch, je_saist : the CoVCE, like the CoHCE (which is what has prestige slide) both had HeroClix. The only "booster" you can buy to get the CoHCE stuff is a physical pack at Cons (when they have it) because of this.

There is an Eden trial, given out by the Woodsman, but it's a regular TF-Style trial - so max of 8 people (don't recall the minimum).

Quote:I doubt they would do a rollback. Costumes (and power customization) are part of your character's data. The only way to fix this without cut/pasting database entries (which, really, do you want to risk EVERYONES characters getting corrupted to save some time at the tailor?) from the live and saved databases would to be a full rollback of the servers - including XP, INF, etc.And most of all, they need to announce whatever policy they do decide on. I could go fix, uh, scores of characters manually now, using costume tokens, but that's a HUGE waste if they rollback. Someone said a rollback would lose all the NEW stuff people have done since release...and while that's true, that's got to be less than aaaaaaaaaaaaall the customizations done in I16 when it was brand new and so many established characters used the new system. But whatever they decide, I wish they'd make a clear public announcement, so we're out of the limbo Issue 17 threw us into and can proceed.

Quote:Because they haven't figured out what exactly is wrong thus needing to be changed/fixed with the crash? For all we know, someone added a piece of salvage (Say, Cheesecake) forgot to close some field on it properly, and THAT is what's causing the crash.Shame the most common one with the tailors STILL not fixed and crashes everytime despite being told it was been worked on the day after i17 release...
Why fix the rare ones first and not the major ones?? It makes no sense.
Fixing code is a lot like fixing a leak in a foam filled hot tub - just because you can see where the water is leaving your hot tub cabinet doesn't mean the leak isn't on the other side of the tub. -
Quote:Other than that bare percent or two that slotting over the ED softcap gives you, over-slotting doesn't really protect against debuffs.Actually, that is exactly what ED does. If a power has base resist 20, then ED caps it at about 20*1.56. Yes, you can push it up by a percent or two, but the returns drop off so dramatically after the cap, that for all practical purposes it's a hard limit on what you can get from any particular power.
base*2ish for schedule A
base*1.56ish for schedule B
So in terms of the post I was responding to, going over ED provides a negligible benefit no matter the circumstances. It helps very slightly to offer a buffer to offset debuffs if you are over the cap, but it provides that exact same help even if you are not getting debuffed or not over the cap.
Now, had the poster I was responding to instead said that going over ED provides a buffer when you exemplar down - allowing you to remain near the ED cap, he would have been correct, but it does not interact with debuffs in the same way it does with exemplaring. -
Quote:At most, expand it to (French Language Server) for the really thick headed ones.Every EU server has a tag next to it in the server list, indicating its location. No need for a "Le Vigilance", it's already "Vigilance (FR)"

Only if they auto-fail missions if a Blue police box randomly spawns nearby. -

And the aura affects all your pets, not just the ones from the power it's slotted in.
