I agree with your business model ideas. And since the devs had said that issue 12 wasn't going to be that "Wow!!", it makes sense for them to take the less time, easiest sets first route.

However, it seemed fairly easy to just port over electric/electric to tanks. And from reading the forums, lots of folks were frothing at the mouth to get an electric/electric tank. I didn't read a single person asking for dark/dark tankers (unless I seriously misread something). Since they could have done a straight port, but didn't for electric, there must have been something with the set that gave them trouble.

A lot of people are rabid over most of these sets apparently... but I like most of the sets ported.

I LOVE Super Reflexes... I love Brutes. Combine the two along with Battle Axe I can finally make my Axe Murderer *Insert ICP theme here*.

I Was REALLY hoping for Thermal to make it to Defenders... But I was expecting Cold and am happy with this too. It seems just... cool. Though I might also make a Dark/Ice Blast Defender to Power Boost and toss my Three Holds off rapid fire while I have Hasten going. XD

I can't get into controllers... So bugger them for getting my Defender Powerset of choice! Because of this though... I MIGHT try to make a controller again just to get my thermal... Then I stop... think, look at curroptors, flag off controllers and go to the red side! Blast > Control IMO.

Dark for Tanks... Err... This is the only thing I really see bad choice. I know some tanks, but most of the tank player friend(Not the ones I get in random PuG, but most of them too) don't like that idea at all.

I, Personally, beleive all this is win... And I also remember several thousand villains in PvP, when I used to play, complain, "They only win because of those damn stormies! I never heard any PvPer complain about an empath, because they'd kill them instantly, then the storm would slow the melee, KB the ones without acrobatics, and generally cause chaos... Now Heroes can feel the pain, too!

In my opinion, most of this was a good call.

I'll eat the Dev's Souls if Defenders don't get Thermal Radiation... I LOVED Thermal Radiation since I saw it but HATE playing curroptors(They get their buffs/debuffs too slow damn it!!!), so if we get Cold domination I will be saddened! ... I'll give the puppy eyes if required... And candy... And women... men?

P.S. Controllers and Defenders will, most likly, share the proliferated power. So if it's Cold for one, betting cold for both.. If Thermal for one, probably thermal for both. Though it saddens me to think. I'm betting on Cold/Ice for Defender sets... Because I doubt they'd port /fire or have unassociated things... Though...Storm/Ice could be seeable... Port over Thermal Radiation and Ice Blast! X3

P.P.S.

Thermal is Heal/Buff/DEBUFF! Why do people forget about the last two DEBUFFS at the end... (Noticed people [censored] it's close to empathy(WHICH IT'S NOT!) while reading through the thread.)

Did Anyone else notice it said 'Coming FALL 2007'? Does that mean we'll get it BEFORE December? X3

When a blasters health gets low, and i mean real low defiance goes up and a blaster is pretty much dead before defiance is useful. Defiance should be more like a Brutes Fury. My vote stay away from saying you're 'mature RPer' say 'Immersive RPer' that means you immerse yourself in your character so much they do as their personality says, including cusing, sex, killing, blackmailing, whatever. P.S. I reread my stuff, and I'm cracky from a bad nap. I will not change what I post as I feel opinions matter and changing how I initially felt would be dishonest to my brain. And I love my brain, it makes me do stuff I like to do. But yes. He claims 'rushes dual blades' but if they were to make shields in time before this years end they'd be just as rushed. Now let people who WANT the power set get it. You already admit to being willing to wait, and they said they ARE working in shields. So hold that sphincter tight and wait like you claim you can do.

P.P.S. ((Hehe Peepee)) Anyways, it's not a matter of which was easier either. The polls showed Dual Blades was first, Psionic weaponry was second and Streetfighting was third in the Offensive poll. So they're giving the general consensus what is wanted. I know SOME people don't want to admit they chose, and like the set and look because, from what I seen in the discussion, a few people might nitpick, blame or out right hate on those folks. Just be happy we're getting SOMETHING. The Devs very well could have made us PAY for all the updates if they wanted. Or have left the game how it was on release. I say cut them some slack and be happy we get something to work with.

A Wind blaster set would just be a primarily smashing set... It's probably a more AoE focused rehash of Energy. Because if it DID have something other than smashing..... it's probably be lethal actually because of any debris that would cause the wind to pick up. I just don't see enough options to create a full 9 power set for Wind... Well... Without stealing something from the Defenders/Controllers.

Okay! They DO look rather big. I suggest shrinking them down. Also if you DO change the look of them for each AT, please keep them swords. Just because these look like scrappers doesn't mean the Tanks or Brutes won't get some hand-and-a-half* or broadswords. Or even (Shutter) axes. I just say. Keep Dual Blades Dual Swords, why? Because I have a brute I wanna make that's DB/Will and if those sword turn to something else It'll ruin my concept. But then again, majority rules. I trust ya devs.

Well, I have a 'good guy' villain. They just don't do mayhem missions, or if they do (Just to get contacts) I RP it as never having happened. And another 'good guy' villain I have is a killer, but only kills evil people, or steals items not meant to be in the hands of a dangerous group. Villains can be heros.(Anti-villains), and heros CAN be villains, but if they're as evil as said person brags, they never should have been, admittedly... Villains have more leway on the 'good-v-evil' bar...

One thing about the 'fights'... Technically combat style matters more than levels in Player v player. They're totally different from mobs that the only difference is slots, and HP. Resistance and all that is set by power. I've seen a 10 take down a 32 and vica versa. Seen a 30 take down a 41, and seen a 20 take down a 40. In 'fights', I think it's more testing before starting than just assuming 'I'm 50 I'll eat a 30's face!' Yeah... May seem 'weird'. I originally assumed a lower level would have less of a chance, but depending on that character's fighting style you could wipe that 20 with that 2. Sorry, just wanted to add that. Just because thier 'security/threat' level is lower doesn't mean they can't give you a run for your money... then win.

........ Don't hate me, just stating observation for RP value. (Even if you aren't into PvP, don't assume lower level = less skilled) n.n;

This is meant to be set up as a transcript for an audio recording. This is the first-person perspective of how my Character 'Diasumat' came to be a villain. I'm thinking of making a third-person version of this story, but for now here's this.

[Static is heard at first before the sound of faintly playing classical music is heard in the background before fading, then a rough voice comes out.]

My name is Iris D'Argon, and I am recording this as a way for me to explain myself without anyone knowing, and to maybe let go of some of my guilt. People know me most well as Diasumat, medical terms combined to form the phrase 'Perfect Body'. Known most for my disregard of who or what I destroy that gets in the way of my goals. I'm recording this because I want to be able to listen back to when I question myself, or just need to reminisce, or probably as something to say when I die in a year or two from my actions. This is a small story of my life, as described by me. Now, where to start?

[A brief pause comes before she starts talking again.]

My first memory was being with a group of kids that wandered around Cap Au Diable within the Rogue Isles. As people can understand it is no place for adults, much less children, heh, maybe why you never see anyone out playing now-days. I was only known as Iris in that group, I think I was given that name by one of the kids, because it was her favorite flower, though, now that I think about it, I question where they even saw flowers before in that place, but I digress.

I remember back then I couldn't breath well, I always had to stop even after the shortest walk, and constantly passed out because I couldn't breathe. I was usually made fun of by a large portion of that group, though I had a protector in it an older girl.

[A light chuckle comes out]

I remember, who I called my 'Mommy', though she wasn't even six, or seven years older than me. Though, as usual, happy endings don't happen in the Isles, not in the least, gangs were prevalent, corrupt cops, every day there was one less of us it seemed, though now I know they were probably killed, or kidnapped and [censored], then I always thought they were just out looking for something to eat, or playing, and didn't even seem to think twice when I never saw them again.

[A bit of laughter comes before some incoherent mumbling]

Anyways, I was taken off the streets, eventually, but at a cost of my 'mommy'. I think of that time, it was, the saddest moment of my life. There was a gang, I don't even think they still exist anymore, or maybe were just merged together with the Skulls we know now-days, but, that doesn't matter. All that does is during a heist this gang was escaping, only to be caught my police, they took any cover they could, and we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. They caught a large group of the children that were there at the time. We tried to run, but with my disease I didn't go far before passing out. That damn thing probably saved me, because, I guess, when I pass out I stopped breathing for a time, ironic that it should save my life. All I do know is when I woke up there were the bodies of my family there, I saw people all around, flashing lights, the people speaking out. It was an crime-scene clean up or some other [censored], but I was like three or four then, I didn't know anything, so I quickly hid, in an ally there, in a discarded cardboard box.

I must have had some kind of shock because I blacked out and woke up to see this man there. He was tall, that's all I could see them. Really tall. He had white hair, and a mustache, this was Johnathan D'Argon, a person who worked with medical centers using technology when surgery, nor medication worked for diseases. He asked me what I was doing there, and I remember not being able to breath I was so terrified, and he seemed to be so too, yelling if I was all right. He seemed to have some kind of lung problem as well, because he had a respirator, probably for asthma or something, and used it on me. It helped a bit, but I still remember myself hurting.

The first thing I said when I could find the words was, "Where's Mommy?" It must have been so pitiful, though, I was so young. He asked who my Mommy was, and I couldn't give an answer, just kept calling out for her, coughing, and losing my breath.

[Silence comes before slight sniffle]

A-Anyways... It... took little before I was unconscious again, and the next thing I knew I was in a bed, I felt like I was choking, but I could breathe fine. I realized, then, what he had done. He hooked up myself to a small respirator, a miniature iron-lung if you will, though it kind of pumped this soothing liquid into my lungs, keeping me able to breath right.

I... remember he had said he never really wanted a child... He thought they would be such a hassle, always breaking things, even told me flat out he wasn't going to keep me. But... I must have grew on him, but through that time I seemed to cling on him like, like, I don't even know how to describe it. He was such a nice man to me, though he seemed bitter to everyone else. He saw this opportunity for me, though. He saw how enthralled I was by his work, and always called me 'sharp' every time I asked what he was doing. "You're a sharp kid, Iris, I know you'll appreciate this." Seemed to be the most used phrase for him to me. Soon, I started working with him, helping accomplish these feats of technology he wouldn't share with anyone else. I never went to Elementary School, Middle School, High School, nor College, I learned everything I do now from him, and those few years back with the kids there on the streets.

But, as I mentioned earlier, The Isles is no place for anyone. I remember my dad went out to get some more parts for our newest project. And I told him I would wait here, and get the rest set up for when he returned. He just laughed out, told me to be a good girl, and left for those supplies. When I was in there Gold Brickers, as everyone knows them as right now, broke into that lab of ours, I don't even know why, but I hid when I heard them coming. I hid in one of the boxes of parts, and they just ransacked and left. They took the pieces I was working on, they took several of the new technology we hadn't even thought of letting out yet. Well, back to the 'ransacked and left' part, that wasn’t actually all. They placed several bombs in the place, and I didn't know, so I climbed out and started off to exit the building.

[A bit of growling comes out, before she seemingly yells out the next part]

Well, my exit was cut short by the first explosion, for the shrapnel hit me right in the back of my legs, and the fire started in the back, the heated metal seemed to have instantly got stuck in them, for I don't remember seeing any blood, though I was kind of distracted. I fell face-first onto the ground, and started crawling out over to the door, unfortunately the second bomb was close enough to that door, not only to close it off by debris, but knock me across the room. I remember my right arm was mutilated them, for the explosion not only knocked shrapnel into it, but burnt it severely, so imagine that pain there. And, for irony, the explosion seemed to not only blow me away from that explosion, but right in the radius of another, the third one tossing my body like a doll to the side, I don't even know how, but I think that was when I lost my jaw, it was painful enough that I can’t even truly recall the damages as they happened, just that they did, but, I am sure the third one is when I was knocked out.

[She clears her throat before continuing, speaking calmer now, almost mournfully.]

When I came to I was on a table, with my Dad there, he was crying. He was praying. He never was a spiritual man, I would know, but I remember exactly what he said, though I was groggy with drugs. He said... "Dear God, please do not take this child from me. You have found her to my home, and I love her as if she were my true daughter, if you are truly merciful as those priests say you are, please spare her, please keep her with me." I'm not sure if I was crying from the pain, or from being moved so by how much this man loved me, but when he saw me moving he stood up, and then yelled out my name, and hugged me, and cried, and kissed me on my forehead. I didn't even really realize then the cost I had given for staying alive, at first.

The first day passed like a dream, and the second is when I noticed that I couldn't feel my arms, I was able to bring up something, it wasn't my old arms, but they were replaced with new ones, and when I tried to speak I couldn't. I was in a panic, I remember my head pounding as I flailed those twiggy pieces of metal around, trying to get to know what happened. When he noticed he came over, and had this soft smile, a caring smile, “Don’t worry about a thing," he said, "This is only temporary." I believed him, of course. He was a father to me, he saved me from the inferno, I was grateful.

Well, I, honestly, didn't think of it then. I gladly took all the technology he gave me to rebuild me. He made the respirator for my lung problem into something more compact and to fix my facial problem, namely the lost jaw, he made it to cover along my nose, and mouth and fit along my face so it seemed like I still had one, and gave this device attached to it to be able for me to vocalize, so I could speak again. He had those arms he had been using as a prototype, and replaced a major missing part of my skull with a type of metal plate. I was reconstructed to a whole person, technically, but The parts of my body that survived were severely scarred, they still are even.

[A long pause comes after a sigh, a minute passes before the voice resumes]

My father was worried for my safety now... So... He made a deal with Arachnos to work under them, in exchange to give them his technology whenever he finished with a part of it. We moved to Mercy Island then, in a small base outside of Mercy, though now I was more recluse. My dad worked constantly to meet some ridiculous quota, and seemed to ignore me. I usually stayed in my room writing some stories I thought up.

[A chuckle comes into the audio]

Though I never was good at putting things on paper. Anyways other than the crushing loneliness and feelings that I had been forgotten about by my father, I suppose you could say things went well. Hope did come for me, for certain times, my dad would come and show me his latest work before he sent it out. He kept a secret for me though. He told me that he had 'back-up' just incase anything happened, then I didn't know what he meant.

[A scoff is head, her voice harsh while she speaks the rest]

Well, my life wasn't [censored] up enough for God, apparently, because more came. Ironically, on my sixteenth birthday, my dad allowed me to help him fix up a new machine he somehow convinced the spiders to let me join in the work, and that happened to be a surprise base raid by those we know and love as 'Longbow'. Apparently the words 'fire-at-will' means to spray gunfire out as soon as you turn a corner, because that is exactly what had happened then. They came through to the lab, all I heard was gunfire, then screaming, then felt a searing pain. I fell to the ground, and when I opened my eyes I noticed my dad was already down there. His eyes were empty, he was killed so quickly. I was in shock, I couldn't do anything but cry, staring at that lifeless face as I was covered by two men, and soon hauled off.

[Her voice seems to get angrier the more she speaks in on the next part.]

I did have a trial, though. The justice system did one thing right, unfortunately as soon as someone says 'working with Arachnos' you don't even get to let out your plea, apparently. I was tried as an adult and imprisoned in the place they call the Ziggurat. Of course, as any angst teen that lost their parent to a corrupt militaristic law enforcement, and tried unjustly, I started hating them. I hated this government, I hated this 'law', I hated this 'justice' I hated myself, and apparently they don't want you to kill yourself in there, they want you to rot.

[Her voice calms, though there’s still a rough edge to it.]

However, apparently I wasn't totally forgotten. Arachnos came with their goon squad, they came for other people mainly, didn't even seem to know I was there, until they actually saw them. One person recognized me as 'Johnathan D'Argon's kid' and that was enough to let me on that flier and start working under then like Johnathan had. I worked for them for a while, memorizing the plans my father had, taking up the equipment, and I found what he meant by 'back-up'. I found out he made HUNDRED if not THOUSANDS of Battle Drones, these were a basic design, and I kept them secret until I could perfect them for combat use. I fitted them using the designs my dad had with my own little tastes. And then I had an army, though apparently I can only activate one at a time then, and now I can only command three, but that's good enough for now. When I got my with, I started making these things more deadly, upgrading, fixing, equipping them.

[A manic laughter comes through, lasting a few minutes as she speaks incoherently, before her words actually forming articulate enough.]

When I was ready, I actually betrayed Arachnos. I stole the plans my father had, and blew up every damn piece of technology that was rightfully his, which I couldn't take. The explosion was tremendous. I gave a fair salute to those damn guys, and started myself off then as Diasumat, The ‘Perfect Body'.

[Silence comes for a brief time]

Wow...That was... corny... But... Oh well not like anyone will listen to this but me...

[A sigh comes through]

I'll just save you just, and keep you safe... Not sure when I need to hear myself rant about the past...

[Static comes through before a few seconds of silence, then the audio looping back to the beginning.]
