While I agree on some points that Kinetics cannot beat Radiation, there are some other points I'd like to argue. Let's start with your list.

Siphon Speed is not needed.

A major increase to speed and recharge isn't needed on a team? Quick Travel power until later, and it increases the speed that Siphon Power comes back.

Speed boost is totally unneeded.

Same thing as Siphon Speed. Stack these two on your other kinetics friends and you've got an insane amount of recharge that's also supported by endurance.
I've actually considered making a defender version of this and have mostly been between Radiation and Kinetics. What I've found so far is that Radiation has increased accuracy and safety, but less damage and speed than Kinetics. Unfortunately Kinetics has to wait until 20 for Corruptors to get Speed Boost, which is the really defining power of an all-Kinetics team.
So, Kinetics may not have the accuracy needed for all purple mobs without enhancements, but it definetly has the power and speed (Imagine a spammed Fire Ball or even Nuke) to take down anything it can hit very quickly -
An absolutely terrific guide (I've read plenty). What I think is most important is a discussion of the tactics and the author's opinion on the powers, rather than a computer readout of cost and percentages. I've been playing a kin/elec lately and I've loved every minute of it. And strangely enough, I agree with almost every single one of your opinions on the powers (haven't seen Transference or Fulcrum shift in action yet. Reserving judgment). Again, awesome guide here

My main was the first (and still my favorite) hero from this game, and I started it with the exact same mindset that you did. I am currently level 33, and I still have not picked up one single attack power (getting one at 35). He has all of the Empathy primaries, and the pool powers complement my "All-team" build very nicely.
Speed: Hasten makes everything much easier, especially later in game due to the big recharges of RA, Adrenalin Boost, Fortitude, etc. It also helps for the smaller powers, but is more noticeable for the bigger ones. SS also seems to be a good power to be able to keep up during battle, and has helped me when the team has split.
TP: Recall friend was all I had until I respecced into TP self. (I was sick of just SS for travel, and I had an open slot) Recall friend is useful, even after people have a travel power.
Leadership: Assault and Tactics are good, mostly for teams who are fine already and do not need your healing
Stealth: I respecced into this and out of Fitness because of Vigilance. Vigilance works perfectly for an emp, and you will have trouble running out of end if you actually need it. Grant invis and SS+Stealth can help your team ghost or go through tough zones
Hope this helps -
I've already gone over the basics of a superteam in a seperate forum of my own, now I've got the 2 possible character builds planned out. Me and 2 of my friends are planning to make a Superteam over the summer. It will be mostly us 3, but I'm not against occasional teaming. The decision is between 3 Fire/Kin Corruptors or 3 Kinetics/Electric Defenders.
Okay, so Ive met with one of my friends recently, and he brought up the idea of a Fire/Rad Corruptor as well. The decision is down to this: Kin/Elec Defender or a Fire/Rad Corruptor. Ive posted both builds here up to 16 (thats all you really need to know. PM me if you want the full build.

A note for the corruptor: The one I have shown takes the radiation and team powers first, and my 2 friends will take attacks first. With the exception of the leadership pools, and 1 or 2 powers, the builds will be the same
