  1. Stop trying to be Unique Dragon.

    There can be only one.

No! I thought I was pretty clear:

I broke AE into three categories - the last category, "perma noobs who've never actually played the game", are those I - at least - prefer not to play with.

PvPers are my favorite crowd, historically.

As to people with multiple 50s, that's just a measure of tenacity... so that can go either way.

I have six myself, all leveled the old-fashioned way (well, with a Dreck run here and there) - I'm only just back after a long hiatus, so there was no fancy "AE" or "MA" back in my time - though I anticipate racing some pvp builds through using these new-fangled techniques.
  3. Having glanced through the list and various replies, I would add:

Black Scourge (better known as IllRad, probably).

Hauling Oates (one of the founders of Misfit Villians and, I think it's fair to say, the first major exploiter of PvP team-level stacked vengeance, at least in base raids )

I don't think Cleo was mentioned either, once a fixture in Sirens/RV.

    Finally, Tantive.
  4. I, too, have poked my nose back in the past few days.

    Impressions:

    - easy enough to find teams blueside, not so much red; it's remarkable how many old-timers are still there (I haven't played in two years, mind you!)

    - PvP? much, much less zone PvP than when I left (and PvP was pretty much my sole occupation in the past); Sirens is completely desolate, though RV can become quite busy. Arena matches are always an option, of course.

    - AE, in my view, serves three purposes: it allows PvPers to bypass the mission process in leveling toons (which is perfectly fine); it allows players with multiple 50s to farm, essentially, for influence/infamy via so-called "bronze rolls" so that they can afford to IO multiple toons (again, perfectly good use of AE); it allows newer players to completely bypass the game, PLing toons from the get-go (with regrettable consequences, like level 40+ tanks unsure how to get to PI...)

Does AE ruin the game? I'd say "not" because most of those aren't players you'd *want* to team with; the channels (JFA, JB, etc) provide ample teaming and TF opportunities.
