Sorry I didnt get on the boards to hear about and weigh in on last Thursday.
I plan on being there tonight as usual especially since I have to try out my new Mission Teleporter. Unfortunately I fell on the ice and hurt my mouse wrist so my usual stellar performance might suffer slightly.
-
Wow, starring role for D. Nice! She's like the Oscar to the rest of the team's Steve Austin. Well done, Lightson.
-
New computer came in yesterday. Everything looked installed and updated this morning...keep you fingers crossed.
-
Im good to get together, we just need to set a time. Anything in the period Lightson mentioned is good for me.
-
LOL so close!. I saw she was down to a sliver, was thinking: we're going to make it! and BAM! forcibly disconnected!
Oh well I guess that means we get to do it all again! YEAH! -
I've arranged to use a friend's computer tonight since they've changed it from "5 business days" to "10-14 days". I don't foresee a problem, except that I won't be able to start on downloading any issue 13 patches until I get off work. That leaves an hour, though, so I expect to be there.
I'm up for anything, and of Lightson's list I've never done any except the Midnighter arc. -
Another UPDATE: Nevermind, I guess I didn't have my computer problem fixed. About an hour after we quit last night the CPU literally blew up, sparks and all.
Good news its still on warranty so they're sending me a full replacement.
Bad news is I wasn't backed up and it will take about 5 business days. That means I likely wont have it by next Tuesday, and I have to do a lot of reinstalling when I do get it.

I am in support of everything in Lightson's post.

UPDATE: Fixt. Ended up being a burned-out graphics card.
I guess one good thing about not being able to play any games is you have time to get something constructive done, like fixing your computer so that you CAN play games. -
Just a note that I'm having some pretty annoying computer problems. Normal operation works fine but anything that requires Direct3D lasts 10-30 min and then the whole system shuts down suddenly with no indication of the error.
Lot of ideas what it might be (from tech support's idea that I needed to buy some RAM---which just happened to be on sale---and reinstall windows to a friend's thought that it's the power supply), and I'm working on it, but I'm not too confident about having it going by Tuesday. SO FRUSTRATING! I've spent all day today on this and made no progress.
Finally, thanks RE: the avatar. I just made it this last week. To be totally up-front I got the idea from someone else on these boards who has something similar. It may mkae more sense to know that the character Pliska (who I consider my main) is a female dominator. -
I mentioned Red Side because that's my persnal preference. I think the main point was that I would argue that a different night should be a different team, but that doesn't solve your issue.
I suppose we could make everyone happy simply by scheduling any additional meet ups one at a time to make sure we dont exclude anyone.
In any case, my two primary inputs are:
1. Would like to avoid Sundays, otherwise open.
2. Would like more regular scheduled play, but would rather skip playtime than exclude team members if possible.
I absolutely love our tuesday night thing. Just ask my housemates how jazzed I am after we get done, telling stories about our wild adventures while they grind away at another, more popular but much less fun MMO. -
I dont want to overdo it, and I think that it's better to have a lighter schedule that's more likely for everyone to be able to attend. I don't want to exclude people who couldn't make a second night.
That said, I would be up for a second night if everyone could agree. My schedule is flexible enough to do anything but Sundays.
One alternative: I've been thinking of what to do when we're done, and your question got me to thinking about how many of us would be interesting in picking a different night and starting up a Villain static team? True there aren't the task forces but story arcs and scheduled teaming is really what I'm digging.
If three or four of us were interested, we might be able to recruit a few more to make up for those Avengers who couldn't manage it.
Just a thought. -

Directrix is champing at the bit.

Let me preface this with saying that I am hooked and really look forward to logging in every Tuesday night for this team.
That said, if any of us aren't really feeling it anymore you should feel free to speak up. I'd rather have it fall apart sooner than have it drag out with people just feeling obligated or feeling like they need to make excuses.
It's been a lot of fun and I would think that there has to be someone interested in coming in to fill up the gaps. If that happens then that would be ideal, I think. Maybe instead of PMs or in-game we should go back to the Announcement forum and ask for two or three new recruits?
In any case, I'll be there tonight ready to go. Hope to see you all there! -
Everybody good for tomorrow night?
-
Directrix is up for it. Really not too picky

I know this seems trivial, but for the sake of future recordkeeping, could the description of this code on the account records page be a little more detailed than "Perk?" the Wedding Pack is fully described, and the others codes have short but clear descriptions. If this one said something as simple as "Cyborg" then I would know months from now what it was I had bought. I can't say the same for "Perk."
-
Got the cyborg pack, though it looked a little disappointing.
Mainly I like the idea of these packs so I want to support them. I got the wedding pack for the same reason, and have yet to use any of the pieces, as they're kindof ugly.
However, will not be getting the jet pack. I WOULD have gotten the pack in a heartbeat if:
1. It provided no actual power.
2. Colors could be changed.
3. It wasn't time limited.
Basically, like so many others I want a jetpack costume piece. Seems this would be best implemented as a recepie, but I'd be willing to pay $4.99 for it. -
"When I returned from my 'conference' in Nevada, I discovered that I'd somehow been outed to my superiors. Rather than the disciplinary action I would have expected, they were excited at the prospect of the PR that could be developed around a young female hero associated with the department. Basically they're hoping for another Blue Steel, just without all the 'rough edges' and think I'm their girl. As a result I've been instructed to carry on as I had been, but to wear this revealing new costume---complete with cape and everything---and to use my name a lot when in the presence of civilians. I hope you folks don't mind too much.
"While much more flashy, the new getup doesn't offer as much protection as my old SWAT surplus costume, so when no one's looking I might switch back sometimes. By the way, what did I miss?"
The Daring Directrix is somewhere between 20 and 21 and waiting next to Sister Psyche.
She was having trouble because her toggle buffs used up 1.68 end/sec, and of course she only recovered 1.67 end/sec. But now that she's developed more stamina she can afford to actually use a few controls every once in a while. -
Back and eager to rejoin the group. I'm making an effort to get caught up level-wise and maybe manage the TF this weekend, to be ready for next tuesday. At or about lvl 20, I'm assuming.
-
I'll get back Wednesday night, so I figure I can arrange to maybe find a PUG or tag along on somone else's run of the task force. No need to make special plans because I'm gone. But I appreciate the thought.
