Dang, Arbiter Sands got knocked the f*@# OUT!
FYI- I hope you guys are doing DCUniverse online... I went to gamestop today and got my preorder, and submitted my receipt/signed up for a beta key online. Its pretty fast and easy, and you only have to put 5 bucks down on the game at Gamestop, so I recommend signing up for the beta now so you get a guaranteed spot on Nov 30th. Im doing mine on PS3, but I think its the same "universe" for PS3 and PC players....
Oh, and Bully... as you know, Im a fellow Marvel/X-men freak (Phoenix specifically, even got her crest on my waistline as a tattoo in RL, lol), so you can imagine my utter delight when I discovered this... especially since Marvel announced canceling the MMO they were originally going to put out. Check out the first link first, and the second link secondAnd get ready to wet yourself....

Hurtzwen (very clever....), if Gabby is me heres what I think you should do: Get a little tiny shock collar for the thing; same principle as the ones we use for dogs only a tenth the size, and every time he speaks hell get a little shock (take plenty of magical percocet tablets beforehand, it hurts like nothing youve ever imagined). You kill two birds with one stone: you shut Mr. Thingie up and you kill him via electrolysis. Since hes enchanted, youll have to get that pure precious desert blossom of a lady to place a friikEnwurk spell on the device. She kind of owes you. And shes kind of easy to blackmail right now, given the super-sonic speed of her posterior. That or clench on a piece of rawhide and burn him off with a cigar like a real man. Your cigars are magic are they not?
The Gabbs
PS- Im game for whatever tomorrow. Ill be on at around 7 for warm up. I have an arc for Gabe that ties his family in to whats happening with the Edge of Chaos, but its got several bugs that I doubt I can work out by tomorrow (and no matter how I rework it, the XP is practically nothing which just chaps my beautiful elvin azz), so thats doubtful but Ill let you all know if its an option by then. But really, Im up for whatever, as long as I get to try out the new spell Ive been working on... I call it: "A safe alternative to dialysis."

Hey guys, sorry I had to bail last night. I've started coming down with my yearly sinus infection, and last night was the headcahe/BAD NAUSEA phase. Needless to say, its hard to fight the baddies when ur focusing on holding down dinner. That said, it was an awesome arc and I wish I got to finish it... Maybe I can do it with Dire later this week to catch up...
And off topic... I got my big fat grant from school and I budgeted enough to buy a gaming computer... I love coh but my laptop was meant for browsing the internet, not gaming, so even though its brand new, my graphics and stuff are pretty ridiculous. I noticed some of you have posted screen pics that are of great quality, so Im assuming you have gaming PCs... since I know very little about them, any recommendations? -
Send me a requisition form and I'll be sure to get those shots lined up. (why the heck isnt there an emote for taking a shot?? Like heroes dont booze it up? Please.)

Hey, thanks for letting me scrap and pull a "do-over", u guys are awesome. And hilarious (Ill try to keep my fairy dust on my side of the table, but then Im not sharing any of my rare elf cigars. Thats right, you heard right, ELF CIGARS. Imported from the Keebler tree. They are life changing.) ;-) Im anxious for you guys to meet Gabe, Im pretty proud of him.
And Im all for meeting at icon. I incorporated an "elvin" tunic into my uniform to make it unique, but the rest of the uniform is all in line with the original parameters. Im all for streamlining. Plus, I have issues with being addicted to icon, lol, so Im always down for tweaking costumes. :-)
And Im anxious to see what happens in this next arc! Thursday sounds like its gonna be pretty raw, I cant wait to do it. -
Thanks! I know it was a lot of info, and very longwinded, but it was a long time coming. :-) You guys have an awesome team here, and Im anxious to start really getting involved, at least more so than I have been.

A goodbye letter from Alcide LeBeau:
Dear teammates:
I apologize for not being able to say goodbye in person, but this is what we signed up for and we all knew there would be consequences. I was doing some investigative work on my own to see if Essex and Smythe were at all connected with each other when I was knocked unconscious from behind. I remember nothing after that. When I woke up yesterday morning, laying bare on the sidewalk where they left me, I exploded and took out a city block with me. Seven people died. From the visions Ive been having, I have to assume that Essex did some more experimenting on me. My mutation is totally unlocked now, and Im essentially a walking bomb. If I so much as get a chill, I wind up unleashing powerful shockwaves of kinetic energy; a deadly, concussive force. My brother, and his boss, have been kind enough to pull some strings to get me into a top notch facility for the research of genetic mutation. Though, now, all I pray for is death. I heard a doctor throw around the word euthanasia a few hours ago, and it gave me goosebumps. What a relief death would be right now. Though Remy will fight it, if I can get Xavier to agree with me, Remy wont be able to do a damn thing about it. He doesnt understand. I think Xavier does, hes a telepath so I imagine he can feel what Im feeling. If he has a decent bone in his body, he will let me go on to heaven or hell or whever Im meant to be. Im in so much pain. I cant be near people. I cant be. This is not a life. And Im eager to see its passing. I value you all, and thank you for your support throughout this madness. Take it easy on Remy if he shows up to collect my things. Hes in a lot of pain and is having trouble accepting whats happening. If Im ever fixed, and released, I will contact you. But if not, I hope you can let me go and pray for me to rest in peace. Thank you my friends; it was an extreme honor to fight with such noble and brave people. Be well.

This is the history of Marlin Culture that I made up-
Gabriel LongLeaf is an elf. Elves are part of a larger family of mystical creatures called Marlins, beings born of pure magic. They are of a larger world of races that exist to maintain balance and equilibrium in the world of magic. On the light side of magic, Marlins are born and invariably evolve into Elves, fairies, sprites, nymphs, fauns or angels. However, some Marlins, even from birth, choose to walk to the path of shadow and forsake the light. Eventually they end up either an imp, a goblin, a demon or a troll. These beings are not to be confused with those who manipulate their souls through use of magic, such as vampires, zombies and werewolves. And so far as fanatics like the circle of thorns and their creations, they are nothing more than witches who choose to abuse magic for the acquisition of power. They are corrupt and not considered part of the true magical world. Even demons and Goblins despise them, if you can believe it. But Marlins in general, light or dark (notice I did not say good or evil, because they are inherently neither) all have a common thirst for mischief. They are easily bored and are always interested in tampering with the goings on of others, as folklore has shown us. Though highly evolved in wisdom and sensibility, they are by no means a docile race. They crave action and adventure, excitement and grandeur. They cannot sit still, and most of them (though they relish the moment) are constantly on a path toward another state of being. A sprite may want to become a faun some day, or an imp may want to grow into a full demon. Sometimes they even cross from light to dark, and vice versa; though, rarely. When they reach a state that they are content to spend eternity in, they truly BECOME that entity. So once the nymph decides its meant to be a fairy, it will stay a fairy forever. Because of this, Marlins age incredibly slowly. If you’ve seen a Marlin with grey hair and a beard, hes probably ancient, in the literal sense; thousands of years old.
They reach our world through Orobouros, which is the nexus of all realities, apart from the time continuum. They come to our world to study us, and of course, to cause trouble (but then, often, they help to fix or repair whatever damage they cause- yes, even the demons… most of the time). It is through their interactions with us, and with the other alien races they play with, that they are judged by the Great Entity and ultimately given permission to evolve into their next state of being (or, to their final destination depending on your perspective). We can reach their world, but it is so complex and so different and alien that our minds could not perceive it in normal context. It is because of this, that when in their realm, we experience a “representation” of what their world is like. A metaphor. We are shown “it” in a way that our minds can comprehend, but it is no more than a mere representation of what actually is.
Though Marlins are typically playful, even the darker ones, they are a force to be reckoned with. If you’ve ever seen a fairy or a faun in battle, you know what I mean. They are powerful beings of magic, despite the physical appearance they adopt for our benefit while in our world. What role they will ultimately play in our lives has yet to be determined… -

I really screwed up this time. Im on a path, you see, and one step off the path can sometimes create a smear that is irreversible. I have a goal. I have lived as many creatures, but my light is still in the distance, calling to me. However, as powerful as the calling of the light can seem, the compulsion to cause trouble is sometimes irresistible among my people, and can overpower other, more noble endeavors. So when I happened upon Frostfires lair while studying human gang activity in the Hollows, and witnessed a team of heroes pursuing him, I just couldnt help myself. I thought it would be funny, to see them fighting naked. Nothing tempers a blood rage like unexpected nudity. How could I have foreseen that my spell would remove their flesh instead of just their clothes? The horrifying aftermath was more than I could stand to watch, so I fled. Do not judge. Humans know nothing of Elvin ways. Sufficed to say, my light was darkened and my path was contaminated. Those feathers seem so far away now
The Great Entity will not abide my carelessness. Though I can exist here, I am not a part of your world and so my actions contaminated the human timeline, Im ashamed to say. Knowing that I cannot just watch without intervening, my endeavor to study the human race has backfired on me. I see only one course of action if I am to redeem myself. Rather than attempting forcing myself to strictly observe (which I doubt Im strong enough to do), I will actively participate. If my actions can tip the primordial scale back into a state of equilibrium, the skies just may yet be mine. Thus, I have decided to join a Special forces unit of heroes, to fight with them and work toward benevolent means to a murky end. The Great Entity is likely to take my more altruistic actions into account, and may yet grant me passage into the final phase of my existence at least in the physical realm.
I need to have a purpose. I need to have judgement passed on me. I am utterly unique in my race. A demon and an Angel have never mated; I am the first offspring of such a tryst. Though Ive chosen the form of elf for now, I am not done yet, and neither of my parents shall decide my fate. I may very well want to simply become a wood nymph and spend the rest of my existence making music in the forest. Who knows? But that is for ME to decide. ME, and no other.
The Edge of Chaos has assigned me to PCSF, should the team be willing to accept me. My origin in magic, and my skill with a bow and arrow should prove me as a worthy teammate. The team is said to be fighting for the survival of a comrade, a young female who has endured unimaginable suffering recently. I shall attempt to join them, if they will have me, and help them fight for what they believe is good and pure. These humans are said be unlike most others; they seem to have no thought for themselves- no lust for the acquisition of power. Just peace. I feel that I may be on the right track. I just need to keep my shenanigans locked up in my back pocket, as humans say. The last thing I need to do is throw myself further off the path.
It is my sincere hope that these impressive young people will allow me to become a part of their group, so together we can fight toward something righteous. My reasons may be selfish, as is a common theme with my people, but the right thing is the right thing, despite external motivations. Its always all been about a means to an end.

OOC: Okay, since this is my first post, I have a lot of info to spill, so be ready. Firstly, Im REALLY SORRY Ive slacked so much with this RP-SG. With moving and being in school (Im one of those jerks whos obsessed with a 4.0 gpa so I spend a massive amt of time studying), Ive been less than consistent with this and I apologize. I also really appreciate your patience, and am thankful you havent kicked me to the curb by now. That said, Im starting over in a sense, and I need to catch everyone up.
LeBeau sucked. Lets just be honest. He was all sorts of lame. Using the X-men was cheap, and looking back, really lazy of me. And that Emma thing was awful. I kind of half-***** my whole story, and never wrote an arc for myself. So now that Ive gotten back into a comfortable groove with my life, I can afford to put forth a lot more effort toward this
That said: Ive created a new character, an original one, and have given him an intricate and thoughtful bio and direction I will post his bio shortly, as well as a message from LeBeau, who will be on vacation for the foreseeable future ;-) Im hoping to have the new guy leveled up enough to join you on Thursday (he will formally request you to permit him to join). I will be on early, as Gambit, to quickly and briefly end Alcides storyline (or lack thereof) in the interest of consistency- and that will be the last Marvel-related thing I do on here. By the time we are ready to begin, I will be my new toon, which I will use permanently from now on.
Also, since my character isnt quite human, I will post a brief summary of his race and the origins of his people, for the sake of continuity. He will begin with his birth name, and once hes earned the right to be called an operative, I will use my name change token to make him official. But hell have to earn it
My last OOC comment: Just a suggestion, and feel free to dismiss it, especially considering my lack of involvement up to this point, but I was thinking the other night that it might be fun to start each Thursday at the base. We tend to chat about RP stuff before we enter our first mish of the night, and in the interest of role playing, I thought it would be fun if we started at our base and outlined everything for the night before we begin. As true super heroes would, were they to exist at allJust a thought, but let me know. It would be fun to change into my uniform in the dorms before a mish, etc just a thought, like I said, if yall think its lame I wont be at all offended. 3 posts, coming up
Nick (LeBeau).
Oh, my global is @ Phoenix Cable but my real name is Nick so feel free to use it when we are OOC.
