I could use another blaster hanging back with me
Sounds good to me, I have several blasters to choose from.
I will pick one by the 28th.

Look foward to meeting all of you guys!
  2. Hey there,

I would love to join you guys, I can role a blaster.

    Just let me know.

    Global @Perdix
  3. Yes,

I played areound with my fire controller and changed some of his powers around.
It is amazing the varity that we have access to now.
  4. We have a core group of 4 members that meet on Monday night starting at 6:00pm CST and run till around 8:30pm CST on the Virtue Server Hero side.

The group right now consists of a Tank, Controller, Defender and a Scrapper we are all level 37-38 as of right now..
We are looking for some more damage dealers Blasters and Scrappers, but any would be welcome.

We kind of fell out of the role playing mode and now just run and have fun. We do use Skype for chat, but that is an option not a requirement.

So if you are looking for a reliable team to run missions with on a regular day and time, and looking for a fun group of people to hang with for a few hours and beat up bad guys let us know.

    Thanks.

    I Never ASSUME anything dude!

And this was the thursday I was planing on showing up. :-)
  8. I have been apart of a few Static Teams in the past.

All but one was fun, the funs ones are well organized with a sign up for whom will be there that night, what time we are going to start and what we will be doing. Real life does play a big factor in Static Team as well as the game in general, but communication is key.

The one that was not fun was not organized, no one knew what we where doing that night, start time was a guess, we all would login at 7:00pm and sit around till 8:00pm waiting for someone to pick a mission, or decide what we are going to do.

You have to set up rules in the beginning if the team is going to work.

Pick a day and time and stick to it, don’t move it around! If you have to make a move then make sure all members of the team can make the new day and time. The biggest mistake you can make is to try and start another team on another day and time when the first team is not even running on a regular schedule.

Have a Plan of attack. Place someone in charge with deciding on what you will do the next meeting time. Do not sit around asking everyone what they want to do that night. At the end of the day just ask “does anyone have any request for next time?”

Have a sign-up or communicate if you will be there next time or not, yes emergency come up every once in awhile, such is real life. You need that have the team members understand they need to sign up if they plan to be there or not because it affects the whole team when it comes to lets say a Task Force.

The biggest thing I can say about this is Have a Plan, do not just try and wing it, it will not work.

Yes it can be done, but it is no easy task to get it started and keep it going.

The Static Team I am currently involved with is not a role playing team, but we are looking for 3 more members, PM if you would like details.
  9. We are looking for a few good heroes!!

I am part of a static team that runs once a week and we are currently looking for 3 more members to bring our number back up to 8. The team make up is currently Tanker, Controller, Defender, Scrapper, and a Blaster. We are all currently in the 32-34 level range. You are welcome to bring any alt you would like, but we would like you to be as close to our level range as you can. We will run these Heroes once a week, and take them all the way up to 50.

We meet every Monday night at 6:00pm CST and play till around 8:30pm CST.

We do use Skype to chat with one another, but that is not a requirement.

Let me know if you would like to join or if you have any questions.

    My global is @Perdix.

    Cheers
  10. To bring everyone who missed last nights run up to speed.
We did not run the Hess TF we are waiting for all team members to be present.
We ran a very nice AE mission arc last night; it was one of the Developers Choice.
I liked it, kind of clever.
We rounded off the night with running the Aura Mission from the City Rep.
We ended the night with all present sitting at level 30.

That sounds like a plan, Major Laser has run that TF before so he doesn't care.

    I'm sitting at 29 almost 30.

I think we are ready for whatever Mr. Hess wants to throw at us.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, IQ and I spent some time this weekend trying to unlock the Hess TF.

Unfortunately, we got stuck on the mish in which you have to destroy the "vampirri spawning chambers." Long story short, the spawning chambers, err, spawned too close to each other and we consistently got overwhelmed. Never got past it, and therefore the next contact never got unlocked for us.

We began the whole process by "auto-completing" a mish (in hopes of speeding things up) so we couldn' just skip it. So what was supposed to be a few hours of fun unlocking a mid-tier TF turned into a lot of frustration.

At any rate, count us out for the Hess TF because we couldn't unlock it. More to the point, it made me realize that CoH is really starting to feel repetitive and "grindy" to both of us.

    [/ QUOTE ]

We had no plans on running the TF without all present. That what the term "Static" means, LOL.

The plan for tonight should be to help you guys unlock the Hess contact.

  13. I think we should save the TF till everyone is there.

I hit 28 last night, so I think we are all around 26-28 range.

So not sure what the plan will be for next week, but we will come up with something.
  14. Hey there guys.
I have been having internet problems at my house for the last few days. So I am posting this from work hehe.
It should be all cleared up by next week I hope.

Hope you all had a great weekend!!!

    I second the second!!!

Let the rampant rummor mill begin, and go!!
  16. Hello all,

Ok here is my 2 cents worth.

I can see one downside to expanding it to more than 8 members. Here is the scenario, 8 of us log in at the set start time, and we all decide to run a TF that night, ½ hour later person 9 logs in. Ok now what do we do? Do we stop the TF and start over? Is person 9 just SOL that night?

If we go past 8 members I think a sign up is VERY important!! That way we can plan the night’s events accordingly. If we know who is going to show up and when I think going past 8 members will work just fine. It is the not knowing who is going to show and when that leads us to standing around. We can always do scanner missions while we wait, but the knowing we have to wait for someone to login is important.
It takes 5 seconds to sign up for access to Lights fantastic Guild Portal page, and another 2 seconds to sign up for the nights run. I don’t want to exclude anyone from the nights run, but I also don’t want to sit around thinking that so and so is going to show and have then not show up.

Ok I hope that made sense, if not I will explain tonight.

    Next Generation Here We Come!!!!

What does the phrase "static team" mean in the context of this thread?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Hello Ang_Rui_Shen,

Static means we meet at the same time once a week with the same characters. All of our characters are at or near the same level and we only play them with the team, this way we level up together and we always have a team to run with.

Lightson, if you would like to add anything feel free.
  18. Ok all.
My buddy has claimed one of the spots on the next generation team.
He does have a 50 and would love to run the Shadow Shard TF’s with us.

I am still waiting to see if my posts on other SG sites generate any interest in our second generation team.

    Thanks
  19. Yes I agree we spun our wheels a little bit last night, but I still had fun.

I think we could start using our Guild Portal Page for some of this. There is a calendar what we can schedule events like what is planned for the next run, and people can sign up there. Then we can check to see who has all sign up and go from there.
I kind of like the idea of the CoH forum post being our story and exploits and not so much business stuff.

I agree we don’t just sit around waiting for everyone to login, police missions are a good time killer.

I also agree on the MA ideas.

I will post on a few of the SG that I know people in and post a recruitment post.
I will direct them here and to our Guild Portal Page. I will also ask a few friends I know if they would like to join us.

    Later
  20. Happy Monday

We will not start the Second Gen until we all hit 50 on the current generation, so we do not have a solid date yet for the start of the Second Gen.

I will post on some of the SG boards that I know to see what kind of interest I can stir up.

Will we be staying with Mondays from this point forward or will we be switching back to Tuesdays at some point?

    See you all tonight.
  21. I fixed the base entry permissions so you guys should be able to use the Army of Freedoms base now. If you are still having problems let me know.

Concerning Lightson MA Arc, just the shear joy of watching Dark faceplate so often was enough to get a smile on my face. I thought it was very hard, but then I did not know our resident sadist had set it on unyielding till half way through the second mission. You had to plan your attacks, you could not just run in, although that’s what Dark does, it took some planning and thinking, and that what I liked about it. Loved the enemies too, the look and the powers that you gave then, they worked very effectively at slowing Dark and introducing me to the floor and the hospital. I’m not a big fan of timed missions, but every once in awhile is ok. My overall comment on the missions was OUCH!

Do we want to hold off on the LGTF till Dark can join us? If we are going to wait I can grab some missions or we can look at running Police Missions in PI for a change of pace.

Let me know what you guys think.
  22. Good Morning all!!

Last night was a great run, Hope you are all having fun with the ITF!!!
We should rap it up next week no-problem.

I’m working on an introduction story for my next generation hero; it is something I have never done before, so before I post it for the world to see I will send it off to our resident writing expert Lightson for comments.

One other thing I would like to bring before you all I kind of feel that we should get all these guys to 50 before we team up with the next gen heroes. We are so close lets just get them to the finish line.

Let me know what you guys all think.
  23. Yep looks awesome Light!

I also have some pictures that are kind of cool that we could post also; do you want me to send them to you? I did some work on the My SG Guild page; let me know if you need any help or have any questions.

Solar Tech is getting his suit cleaned and pressed on Tuesday so he will more than likely be a ½ hour late. We will begin the run as soon as the old fart he logs in.

For those that have run it before, I have a buddy that can bring a hero to help if you think we would benefit from it. He could bring a tank, another scrapper, or a radiation something defender.

Let me know if you ant me to pull him away from Resident Evil 5 and lend us a hand.

I also ran one of D's created missions last night, I think we might be in trouble .

I've been trying to find out how to make missions easy enough to be hard but still doable. I haven't started working on how to use the story options yet.

I'm really having a lot of fun, and I would recommend anyone remotely interested try it out. It's a really great feature.

I did complete it. Bonfire at the correct time is a great thing. The end boss kept getting throw against a wall, hehe.
