  1. Indepedance Port, Quayside, A few moments ago

Mirel had to blink a few times, it seems the enemy had taken her advice and was pulling back; this would certainly make a unique entry into the archives at the House of Bells alright. She could quite easily pursue and probably utterly crush them… but long term goals would be better suited if she was magnanimous in victory.

So it was that the raging Lusca almost instantly grew calm, and steadily slipped off the quayside and with quite the thunderous splash returned to its watery home, to lurk on the bottom until called for, or at least that’s what Mirel hoped would happen.

Pushing off the beasts head and into the surrounding water for a bit of a victory swim (At a pace that would make many athletes jealous) the Dynast couldn’t help but notice something off in the water currents, it was as if someone had pulled a plug somewhere. A glance around revealed an almost unnoticeable shimmering portal in the depths, indeed Mirel herself wouldn’t have noticed it, if she hadn’t seen a fish that second get sucked through.

Curious as to who was draining the water, and to what purpose, added to the fact it was a potential route back to the nice sane world of Creation was all the motivation she needed to swim straight through it.

    Kings Row, Battlesite, Now

Which in retrospect wasn’t the best idea, as in addition to the pouring rain and a Fish it suddenly decided to rain a Dynast, a very surprised Mirel tumbling out of the air and onto the roof of the building with a large splash and the sound of a roof cracking slightly under the impact.

Not that this seemed to put her off though, a second later she was back on her feet, looking over the unusual sight of the collected combatants.

“Well what a fine mess I’ve found myself in, out of the forest fire and into the volcano…”
  2. Obviously Mirels speech made them saw reason, there is no other explination she'll expect.

Hmmm, now, how to get her to Kings to help put out a fire or two.

It was clear she noticed the approaching protector but didn’t deign to give it any particular notice, instead keeping her focus (At least obviously) on controlling Lusca.

“You know” Mirel stated in a calm almost flat tone, “That if you pull me into a fight, there is going to be a very angry octopus rampaging beyond control right here”

Her expression changed as a smirk steadily worked its way onto her face, voice becoming a little more playful.

”Well not completely beyond control, it will still be loyal to and try to help its new mistress, just so you know that is, really want to unleash this thing on your city and trio of comrades like that?”

Mirel wasn’t stupid enough to rely on the better judgment of someone whose comrade’s head exploded to try and get the better of a demon however, and so had subtly prepared herself, bracing to leap over and behind the protector as it lunged towards her, slicing her own claws through the Protectors back while bringing an armour shattering knee to the featureless helmet.

Or at least that was her plan, for now she watched and waited for her opponent to make the first move.
  4. Independance Port, Quayside

“Why don’t you just be good mortals and die already!” Came the annoyed voice from atop Lusca.

As if in tune with its rider, the giant octopus raged, bringing its tentacles down to flatten into the quayside before sweeping them along, smashing through crates, warehouses and hopefully either crushing or sweeping the annoying SWAT team away.

The Protectors though needed something a bit more powerful flung their way, and so reaching out to the waters edge, another tentacle picked up someone’s private boat. Along with a powerful spray of ink it was hurled at the Protector team, hopefully both it and the powerful Ink burst would manage something.
  5. It technically is the OOC thread, but a more proper officla one might help is all I was saying.

Also Magic Water > Magic Fire was my point.
  6. :O She'd take great offence to being called a Soceress, she doesn't know a single Spell! And hasn't spoken with a single demon! Well outside that one party... but it doesn't count.

Idea I was toying with though, maybe we should get ourselves a proper OOC thread for The Crossing? Might let us help explain certian characters, thier backgrounds and powers for those not familiar with thier settings (Or for those from brand new settings we just made up).

Plus people will know it's related to that, rather then in this apprently unrelated thread, so uh, thoughts on this idea people?
  7. If only we had a character with some kind of massive channeling of an opposing element to fire to throw at Jacub to put it all out...

    ... wait a second...
  8. Independance Port, Quayside

While the gigantic cephalopod might not have been too bothered by the slightly annoying stings of the SWAT team’s firearms, the one directing it wasn’t quite so immune to bullets. Pulling a gauntlet up to shield her face from the bullets (And being rewarded with the satisfying clunk of bullet on armour more then once) Mirel fumed.

“Oh I have had it up to here with this Dragons forsaken place, lets see how you all like this

And with that the giant octopus relented its attack and quickly withdrew, sliding out under the ocean, water soon settling as though it had never been there. There was probably enough time to wonder if Mirel had retreated for good (Or maybe if a lucky shot had brought her low) before the surface of the ocean erupted once again, and the full bulk of Lusca’s form hurled itself into the air.

The moon and the stars at the quayside were blocked out by the rapidly descending form of the octopus, coming right down atop of the SWAT team, their trucks and the Protectors too. There was probably enough time in the few seconds before impact to consider if Mirel knew about the words “Friendly Fire” or “Collateral Damage”.

Once again, villainous gloating had given someone else the time to do something to stop a Decepticon, perhaps they really needed to work on that. In this instance the thing stopping Skycracker turned out to be a gigantic orange tentacle much bigger then even she was, it swung in to try and slam her aside or wrap her up and crush her.

It was soon followed by seven more, two of which attempted to simply brush aside the SWAT team. There was something strange about them too; it seemed the entire giant beast was surrounded by faint semi-tangible whirling vortexes of water, strong enough to be quite painful to get caught in, not that being slammed or crushed would normally be painless.

The reason for this, and the beasts more intelligent then usual movements, became apparent as its head emerged, likewise surrounded by the semi-tangible vortexes as well as having the source of them perched atop it, holding onto two great reigns made of physics defying water.

Mirel let out a laugh as she set out directing the beats attack, and serving as the missile troops probably most unexpected reinforcements ever.
  10. Independance Port, Underwater

Mirel was more then a little annoyed at having her plan shrugged off, but like most things it washed away rather quickly, they did after all still have the rather pressing matter of both a small unit of troops, some sort of flying craft and a giant octopus trying to kill them. These were some odds in dire need of evening.

She waited until the Autobot had launched himself up into the air, leaping off his back (Coincidently causing another slight tingling sensation as his freedom of water movement left with her) and down into the water towards the following octopus. With a few flips through the air as well as the water her heavy boots impacted soft fleshy cephalopod skin, hopefully halting the thing in its tracks.

“Hello beastie” She murmured to herself as she started to run with heavy boot steps up the side of the giants head.
  11. Phew! I was about to say that skipping through a fight we don't know the outcome of (IE Injury/Damage/Death) is never a good idea.

Right, better work on my next post then.
  12. Independance Port, Underwater, Near Lusca

Mirels expression drooped, the cigar still in her mouth, this realm was really starting to test her patience.

“Well this will get interesting, issue number one being that if I hop off your back the Charm keeping you just fine in the water is going to vanish, so we’ll have to be creative here”

Once again she sat upright, moving to stand on her feet as she eyed up the looming monster in front of them.

“Okay, here’s the plan, drive directly above it, get it to surface so you’re on the things head, then I’ll leap off and try to tame it, then make it fling you and the girl right back to dry land, sound good?”
  13. Independance Port, Underwater

For the first time since she arrived in this strange realm Mirel was able to relax, water was where she and those like her had no equals and under it she felt perfectly safe even here and with the situation being what it was.

She began to shuffle around under her armour, attempting to retrieve something as she lay back on the roof of what was still partially a car letting her hair start to drift freely in the water as she finally retrieved what she was looking for.

One of the items she retrieved looked to be about a fist sized amulet, made of some gleaming red material, looking like a trio of snakelike dragons coiling around each other, in the centre was set what looked almost like a ruby, only one that had a flickering light coming from it, as though it was a solidified flame. The second item she retrieved looked almost exactly like some form of cigar, which she proceeded to press one end to the gem causing it to ignite, bringing it back to have a nice relaxing smoke.

All of this while underwater, which if anyone could see her would probably result in brains being tied into knots as to how this was possible.

“Oh relax in there already will you? We’re all safe and fine here, we just need to find a nice spot to hide out for a few hours, during which we can plan and then slip out without being noticed, you should be just fine as long as you don’t piss me off”
  14. Indepedance Port

Mirel didn’t seem to have a problem staying firm in her place atop the Autobot, even as it transformed slightly to move to attack the fighter that had rather annoyingly interrupted what would have otherwise been a flawless escape. The missiles heading towards them right now were also a bit of a problem.

“I just feel it’s best to point out at this stage that we can submerge and function just as well with a nice shield of water, while the enemy cannot, just so you know, diving would probably be a good idea about now”

Mirel was considering perhaps jumping off the Autobot if he didn’t get out of the way of these missiles, though that would have the unfortunate side effect of breaking the charm keeping him riding around on the water if she did so. Hopefully she wouldn’t have to.
  15. Indepenance Port, Quey

As the Protectors fireball went wide Mirel retaliated with short blast of high pressure mystically sharpened and lung seeking water at them in retaliation before speaking to her Autobot ‘mount’.

“Which means it will do likewise to the people following us, just trust me on this one, just jump into the water and keep driving, my own life is on the line here, if you don’t trust me to look after yours, keep in mind that I’m not going to get myself killed here”
  16. Kings Row/Indepedance Port connection tunnel

As the Autobot sped through the tunnel linking the two portions of the city together, Mirel shifted her position on the roof into a much flatter stance to make her a much harder target, placing a hand down firmly on the roof.

For a few seconds, assuming Quicksilver could feel things like that, the Autobot felt a little tingly, as the air around him became hazy and mist filled for a second before it snapped back to normal.

“Very well, now listen closely, when we arrive in the port I need you to jump into the water as quickly as possible, are we clear?”
  17. Kings Row, Highway

Still holding her balance atop the speeding Autobot, Mirel narrowed her eyes at the seemingly ever growing crowd tailing them.

“Am I to assume the new viechal is hostile or not? And do tell me we’re reaching the port soon, as I left my bow at home so can’t take down more then one or two of the fliers at once here”
  18. It's just a hole in the ground, reasonabley deep, reasonabley wide, nothing special about it.

The wall is likewise the same, only a wall, now with bullet holes.

Mirel balanced on Silvers roof, hair whipping back in the wind as they accelerated, she kept her eyes on those people trailing them, this could be tricky.

“If you want to loose them, head to a place with nice wide and deep bodies of water, I’ll take it from there.”

Well tricky or a lot of fun, one or the other.

Mirel didn’t bother to turn around, just uttering a single scorn laced word from her mouth as she brought her next step down hard.

    “Mortals…”

As her foot connected with the ground, it suddenly gained the consistency and appearance of wet clay, coloured as though it were still road or sidewalk, which proceeded to shape itself with unseen hands, rising up to block off the police officers lines of fire, and provide everyone enough cover to get the hell out of their before they were shot.

Everyone that is aside from the Outsider and the Detective, who suddenly found the ground they were standing on was suddenly a small pit as the ground once more hardened from it’s clay like form.

Mirel took her chance and leapt onto the Silvers roof, crouching there for now, “I would advise that everyone gets here or on their own transport now, it is not a good idea to stay where the enemy knows where we are”

“He’s being quite isn’t he?” Mirel said in a deadpan dripping with condescension.

“I have been quite patient with you Official, but I am not a Child of Pasiap, I will stand and wait for your ‘plan’ no longer”

And with that she spun around and started making her way towards Silver, her pace nice and measured, not the angry storming off you’d expect.

“Come everyone, onto the transport, it’s time we were on our way, activate your engine and be ready to move Automaton” She barked out, once more falling into a commanding frame of mind.
  22. I'll have you know she's being very restrained for a Dynast, letting mortals give her lip like that!

Mirel shook a finger at the detective, like a mother telling a small child off for stealing from the cookie jar.

“No, we slew an Anathema, a demon wearing the skin of a man, you’re lucky we did else it would have corrupted and lead this entire city-state to its doom.”

She crossed her arms over her chest, causing a slightly armoured clank as she did so.

“As the Texts say, it’s the right thing to do to keep the world in balance, and last I checked divine law supersedes mortal law”

There was an almost playful smirk working its way onto her face now.

“Besides, do you really think you could hope to detain us if you pushed the issue?”
