Nyrissa was created in the underground labs in Paragon City, Atlas Park actually. When she was old enough, she was given to a special group of people known as the MAGI. They worked with an elite team of the top minds in Paragon to make to their idea of the perfect defender. Nyrissa was created for a soul purpose. One she would have to find out later.
She never understood why she always felt so alone yet there were constantly people around her, teaching her the ways of being a hero. She learned every part of the human anotomy and all the powers of healing that the MAGI could offer. Still, even with her knowledge she couldn't but help wonder why she was to care so much for others when she had no family to care for her. Finally it was then she realised that was how she was made. For insurance the MAGI also taught her about the arts of the netherworld. They wanted to make sure something that had so much time and effort put into it could protect it's self.
One afternoon as she was practicing her studies of empathy and a group of soldiers walked in wearing grey suits with a blue insigna on their chest. Nyrissa could do nothing but watch as these strange men stormed in and took her from the only people she knew. From all the chaos Nyrissa had blacked out. When she awoke she found herself standing infront of a man she thought looked familiar.
"I know you don't I?" asked Nyrissa "Why yes my dear you do, I am the one whom made you. My name is Johnthan St. John Smythe." Nyrissa just looked puzzled at him for a short time. "Well I suppose then you know why I was made?" she asked him. "Yes, you were made to be part of an elite team of heros who can surpass the limits of others. They are known as Paragon's Collabortaive Special Force" he replied
"Oh knock it off. We don't have time for this. There are things that need to be done. We, are the "Edge of Chaos". You are here to make sure the rest of your team stays alive and doesn't get too banged up." stated one of the men in the grey suits.
"Well, I suppose I shall go then and do what ya'll created me to do. One question tho, How will I know whom they are?" Nyrissa replied
She was sent to Atlas Park to await the arrivals of the other members of the team. Looking down at her reflection in the water by Mrs. Liberty, she thought to herself (Geesh, you'd think they could have given me a better outfit, I look terrible in this suit)
