I acquired a new avatar, but I think it needs something. A large, red, blinking “PWNED” over the last few frames. Unfortunately, my editing software is old and/or cheap and I can’t open the bloody thing to make that little addition. Any of the graphics community able to lend a hand?

I ran into some of that when making my video. I noticed it was less of an issue when I had the demorecord running a bit before I went into the action for the scene I was trying to get into the video. I also noticed that if you let a scene repeat a couple of times in the playback software it will sort it out some of the time.

Sarrate sums them up pretty well. Zloth has the right idea: Use the demorecord feature. It makes really small, editable files that you can later use Fraps on to get good quality video. That way you don’t have to worry about having Fraps bog down your performance in game. Going that route also frees you up if you learn how to edit the demo files. You can add, delete, and move elements before you record.

So I’m hanging out on the test server for the Halloween event snapping shots of the dev’s toons and running the w00t radio maze. I mention in broadcast that I grabbed a shot of Manticore, and Arctic Sun decides I needed a title.

While funny, it wasn’t the sort of title one wants to keep for 24 hours. So I nicely asked Arctic to change it to something else. What he did was read my bio and came up with a new title for my character. I thought that was cooler than my original request. Thanks Arctic Sun, you made my night.

Anyone else end up with cool titles they would like to share pics of?

Does anyone know if there is a command that will allow you to take a screen shot of your character so the character name, title, and badge title appear in the final .JPG? The “/screenshotui 1” command doesn’t and I can’t find such a command in the guides section. Zloth? You out there?

Outstanding camera work. Coffy’s music was excellent. Very good demo editing. Dramatic. I enjoyed it more than a little. Go make another.

are there better options for displaying the actual symbol and showcasing the suit? sure...but I wanted something different and something that Doug was interested in trying out.

as such, any ritiques regarding perspective on this piece fall ta me....as it was ultimately my choice. a choice by which I still stand as it is what I was looking for
