Just to say, I spent a good deal of time with a group of eight at a single door. We'd all hit it up for whatever we could get, take the Tricks down, swap Treats if we wanted to, and then chat or something for the next thirty seconds to the next hit. It was never boring, or unfun, it was actually a heck of a lot of fun. I ended up doing that because intially I had been running door to door on my own or with a couple other people, and we'd end up spreading out as we went. It was much more fun to be in a close knit group where you could really interact.
So, yea, if doing it that way was more fun, I think its the thing to be doing.
The only possible thing I might suggest is to have the Tricks scale to the team size. That would be complete havoc, and a lot of fun. Groups of weight tend to make short work of tricks. -
The background stuff for the different Halloween groups is an extra layer in the cake. The whole thing would be great without it, but with it its evener better. I was trick-or-treating with a group of people (which, incidentally, gave me this surreal feeling because it was a lot like real trick or treating, with eevryone rushing up the door, a flurry of activity while tricks and treats were distributed, and then a moment of calm for people to brandish their prizes. Among all the 'Sweet, I got a Restoration!' I half-expected to hear someone cheering that they'd got a butterfinger crisp.) and it was honestly some of the best fun Ive had -- partly because of the whole atmosphere set up, which allowed us to joke around a lot more carefree than usual.
And, seeing as Statesman might check back on this thread, I want to say that so far this event is simply awesome. I know that there are people who are going to complain about something they don't like (and in fact, they already have!) and Im not going to pretend that the event should please absolutely everyone. There are so many divergent opinions and views among a population that its going to be impossible for everyone to be happy. But just the fact that the Devs went to the trouble of putting together a Halloween event for us, complete with gigantic Pumpkin monsters and trick-or-treating goodness is something to be grateful for. Thanks to all of you for this. -
The rock is, in fact, a crystallised manifestation of pure awesome.

Well, heres my piece of wild speculation...
There will be some sort of event that will explain the opening to the new areas, like the Hollows, and the other changes that Issue 2 is going to bring. Hopefully this will take the form of some sort of cross-zone breakout happening, so that everyone can get involve to some degree.
And when we beat off the assault (as we shall, because we are ever vigilante and dedicated to Paragon's defence!) then Statsman (in game) will repeal the hold on capes (which were, as I understand it, removed as a tribute to Hero 1) to reward the new generation of heroes and their success. Then, either on the weekend or next week, Issue 2 will go live.
Actually, thats similar to what other people have suggested, so its not so wild or original speculation :P -
The Heroes of Paragon stand ready to face any peril that would threaten our city! Ring the alarm bell! Blow wind, come wrack, at least we'll die with harness on our back!
*cough*
So long as it isn't tomorrow, I think I'll be able to catch whatever it is that happens. I just hope that it isn't restricted to some high-level place I can't get to.
Maybe we should set up a sentry system, keep an eye on different zones and report any unusual happenings to a thread here. Or is that a little excessive? :P
