((I was under the impression that we were in the shattered remains of Cry's office, with at least one of the walls in the room completely torn down and revealing the outside.))
"Lady Ghost Widow passed from this plane some time ago." Jake said, still grasping his injured arm. He also took note of Scirroco's presence, and, while he knew there would be consequences later due to yet another one of the inner-circle having to make their appearance here, he was thankful for his help.
"Greetings Lord Scirroco." He said aloud, turning his attention to the slowly hovering Acanous.
Despite what he may have hoped, it would take more than witty banter to distract one of Arachnos's top Arbiters, let alone one of the inner-circle. Jake used a teleportation technique to put himself between Acanous and the nearest exit, a single plasma beam aimed at the back of his head.
Acanous by this point should have already been completely drained, as well as fairly seriously injured. For him to avoid such an attack now would be a feat to be beheld.

((Eh, I dunno. Even if they don't, twenty years and artistic freedom say they do.))
Edit: Acanous's flurry of blows would deal much more damage than it normally would have, due to the condition of Jake's suit. The original blow, testing the power of his suit, would find it severely weakened, thus allowing his next punch to Jake's arm to literally break the forcefield and the armor in that area and deliver a rather nasty blow to his exposed arm.
He winced, naturally, but took advantage of the situation. As Acanous twisted his body around to deliver an elbow to his face, Jake lowered his upper body, quite literally crouching down in mid air, and delivered yet another crushing blow of force to Acanous, this time aimed at the underside of his chin. Any normal person's head would have been shattered and blown clear off.
But as Jake had noticed, Acanous was no normal person.
-----
Acanous's attempted deflection of the snipers' bullets was a success, deflecting the only one to have actually been aimed at him. Cursing at their miss, they immediately began to reload, until Acanous rushed into melee range. They couldn't risk injuring such a highly ranked Arbiter, despite the level of threat they were currently dealing with. Hesitantly turning away, they again focused their attention back onto the Sky Raiders.
-----
The soldiers whooped with the fervor for combat only beasts should have. A wave of red seemed to wash over the Sky Raiders as the vast majority of the base's soldiers attempted to decimate the invading force.
Even the risk of hurting Jake was overshadowed by their bloodlust, several red streaks quickly making their way toward Acanous.
-----
Jake's bots continued to sit, awaiting their AI to be downloaded.

((Okey dokey. Arbiters punishing, yes? Like you said, the main forces'll have to wait until Acanous posts.))
"I agree. Cry's truly gotten out of hand." Another nameless Arbiter cried, his words and tone completely mimicing nearly every other official in the room. "He seems to believe that the regulations our great Lord Recluse set in place are simply there to be broken!"
"It's true." Yet another yelled, opting to read over his charges again. "Not only has he brought a Sky Raider assault unto our facility, but he has refused to help fend it off, as well as completely neglecting to inform anybody else of the intrusion. On top of this, he has used his henchmen to assault Black Scorpion, with clear intention to kill, thus breaking the truce the inner-circle has."
"He must be disciplined! Arachnos will not tolerate such acts!" A particularly vehement individual bellowed.
"Agreed." The first Arbiter calmly shouted over the cacophony that had erupted throughout the room. "All in favor?"
A resounding 'Aye!' reverberated throughout the chamber, leaving any and all 'Nay'-sayers too intimidated by the sheer number of those in agreement to voice their opinions.
"Very well." That same Arbiter said, albeit more quietly. "Now, as for the method of punishment..." -

I'm having some difficulty following as well, although I'd like to think that I am following...
Anyway, I think people have always been like this, Grey. Just trying to figure things out for the sake of knowing.
And if they can't figure things out, they make stuff up. -
"Well, sir..." A TacOps finally began after a long and awkward silence. "Honestly, we don't know."
Another spoke up, his courage having risen from his comrade's answer. "We were under the impression that we had been dropped in a secure location."
And yet another spoke up. "We had no way of knowing that this place was hostile."
The Arbiter seemed satisfied enough with their responses, despite his obvious displeasure with them. "Well, it seems that while Jake Walsh was able to successfully get Arachnos here, he failed in a critical part of the task."
"In any case, we must make do with what he have. Set up here. I'll teleport in some scouting drones and see what we find."
And, while the men set to work on putting up esential equipment, the Arbiter took three devices similar to Jake's from his leg's armor and threw each on the ground, respectively summong three cloaked Arachnos Drones. With a silent order, they were off. One out of where they had come, and two across where the destroyed bridge would have been. -

((Well... figuratively. >.> Would it have been better if I said really really fast?
And Soviet already said that they had lost, but, since Acanous and Jake's fight is going on simultaneously, I'm just mentally noting that the Sky Raiders and Arachnos are still duking it out, hence why I'm not dragging Tamesis into this conflict. ))
Jake smirked as he saw one of the bullets hit its mark, the beast that had been holding him immediately dissapating and leaving him to his own control.
"And that's why you don't [censored] with an Arbiter."
He turned to go away at about the same moment Acanous rose from his defeat. The energy literally seemed to be absorbed out of him. He felt weak, sleepy, and overall useless. The Hell? He thought while by some miracle he turned his head in Acanous's direction.
"But... You were dead..."
Jake saw the situation that he was in with no bias. The tables had yet again turned, and he had just grasped the short end of the wish bone.
[ QUOTE ]
"Let's finish this."
[/ QUOTE ]
He scowled, this fight quickly growing old. "Fine, I'm getting tired of this." Jake muttered a voice command into his mic, automatically having his suit give him an addrennaline injection. Immediately his energy returned, even moreso than before.
Seems my suit's energy was drained as well. Shields are only working at about 40%, and my plasma beam should take almost twenty seconds to recharge.
"But that's no problem..." He muttered, detaching six metallic disks from his leg. Throwing each onto the ground, six flashes of light showed with six robots appearing shortly after. Each was silent, except for a small beeping.
Thirty seconds, that's all I need.
-----
The snipers weren't just going to let their victim's rebirth just go unnoticed. Again they lined up their scopes, aiming in precisely the same spots as last time. Again, Acanous would be subjected to the metallic objects attempting to penetrate his skull, and again, should he fail, he would fall. -
For the first time in this particular conflict, Jake was worried. His assault had failed to kill the threat instantly, and, while he was badly injured, which could easily be determined by scanning him, or, more simply, looking at him, he was still in a proper condition to continue fighting.
The molten slag was, again, easily taken care of by Jake's forcefield defense. Not many things could penetrate this defense, which was why Arachnos had long since applied it to most, if not all, Arbiters and those Lieutenants who requested it.
But, such a defense couldn't shield him from the next assault. Before Jake could retaliate, or even resummon his minions, a portal suddenly opened up below him, grasping his limbs and forcing him to a dead halt. The only reason he remained airborne was the flames in his boots, and even that could probably easily be snuffed out by the pure negative energy the creature emitted. He tugged a few times at the bands of darkness, but to no avail. He was utterly trapped. All he could hope to do was wait it out until the portal decided to close on itself.
But that could take hours, maybe more if the summoner was proficient at their skill. In short, the tables had turned rather quickly.
"[censored]." He muttered, surrendering his limbs over to the beast and glaring Acanous in the eye. "So what now? It's not like you can hurt me. You've seen the power of my defense. All you can do is back up and hope you come up with a way to hurt me before Fluffy here goes away."
The emphasized word was not for nothing. At the moment he said that, three Arachnos Snipers who had fortified themselves on top of the building after the battle had begun took their eyes off of their current target. They instead chose to train their guns at the cranium of Acanous himself. Again, these were each aimed at strategically placed locations, meaning, should he dodge one, he'd most likely put himself in harm's way yet again.
Each fired simultaneously, the specialized bullets flying at nearly light speed. -

The latter, I think. Could be wrong, wouldn't be a first. -
Inky blackness filled the detention bubble, making visual contact via a human's normal spectrum next to impossible. Thankfully, Jake had other means. Upon seeing the stealthed foe, the seven of them automatically changed their vision from normal to infrared. The cold of the negative energy clearly outlined the natural warmth of Acanous.
Although, such trivial matters didn't do much in the long run. The point still remained. If Acanous could get away from the literal tidal wave of plasma and laser fire, than he would survive. If not, the blast would most likely destroy everything within a ten yard radius, including Jake's robots.
If this was the case, than Jake would simply resummon his bots and wait the thirty seconds for their AI programming to be transmitted to the new bots.
If not, than he would simply chuckle and turn his attention to other matters.
Either way, it would all happen as soon as the Protector Bots released their barrier.
And that time had come.
The bubble slowly faded away, and Jake's bots fired their awesome attack. -
Acanous's attempts would seem to be in vain, as his efforts were effortlessly blocked by the limits of his Detention Bubble. Nothing he could do would touch the outside, and vice versa. If he did go through with his plan, however, he would only be sapping energy from the air around him.
Whatever his plan was, he would need to act quickly. Jake's robots were almost ready for an assault, and would be cancelling out the shield and firing on the unwanted guess in roughly five seconds. -
As Acanous slammed into the floor with a very satisfing slam, Jake was already preparing for his next offensive. He glanced down at his robots, and, upon seeing that they obviously weren't going to keep the Jump Bot still long enough to eliminate it, he might as well put them to use.
"Cease fire. New target, 'Acanous'. Marked."
Now, while Acanous hadn't physically been marked, Jake had already specified him in his bots' UI.
His bots obeyed without question, already rocketing upwards and assessing the situation.
"As soon as he emerges from his regeneration process, lock him down and charge your lasers."
And, about a second later, that plan came to fruition. Acanous emerged, only getting off about one blast before finding himself completely out of touch with everyting and everyone. Sound seemed to be nonexistant in his isolation, as only the steady beating of his heart and the rhythmic noise of his breathing vibrated througout the air. Even sight was impaired, as the green tinted bubble made it nearly impossible to see anything outside.
However, by some miracle, should Acanous peer outside of his bubble, he would have found six heavily armed and armored robots, each charging up a laser that would be fit for Dragonball Z.
As for the sole attack Acanous managed to put out, it again was deflected and diffused by Jake's forcefield coating. If Acanous wished to inflict any real damage to Jake or his forcefield, it would have to have much more force than a simply blast of negative energy. -
Jake had taken the strike, he had little choice in the matter. Considering his usual role in combat was to play support from afar whilst his bots took the damage, his current situation wasn't his cup of tea. He had no idea how to right himself after an arial(sp? Dictionary.com didn't help.) attack, and, therefore, flew forward. Luckily, the strike wasn't enough to disorient himself for long. Like his robots, he had a permanent forcefield surrounding his armor. It wasn't enough to keep him from attacking, but it did deflect much of the kinetic energy of the strike back to Acanous, as well as diffuse a lot of the dark energy.
In short, he simply shrugged the blow off, turned around, and fired yet another force bolt at the falling figure. Considering he was already falling at about the max speed a human can fall with gravity alone, ((About nine feet per second, I think. Feel free to correct me.)) the next attack would send him sailing into the next horizontal surface, at at least 250 miles per hour or more.
Needless to say, if that didn't hurt him, than he was more resilient than most. -
((OK, but that bolt had the force of maybe three elephants, so if he caught it head on, he's gonna be experiencing a rather large amount of force. I don't think it'd matter how he caught the blow, he'd be in a bit more pain.))
-
The negative ray, quite simply, had no effect, due to the mental equivalent of a fifty yard thick wall of impervium protecting him. Ever since he had risen in the ranks of Arachnos, he had called in a favor or two to put this in place on his mind, due to an experience in his teen years that lead to his going to the Isles in the first place.
In short, his mind was so well protected, there was absolutely no way anything short of the psychic strength of two Lt. Cry's could break through.
That being said, the only aspect left of the attack was the upward palm strike, which Jake avoided by simply hovering backwards a foot, thereby allowing his opponent within point blank range.
A sliver of Jake's old self shone through, as a cocky smirk yet again played on his lips.
"Perfect."
He again unleashed a flurry of attacks, starting this time with a Force Bolt. This was of equal power to the last one, and, if the shattered concrete below wasn't enough of an indicator, unless Acanous's dark shield could deflect a large amount of force, he would be blown quite far back in addition to gaining a crushed torso.
Jake then followed up with two quick plasma beams in short succession, which, if nothing else, would prove to be a deterent should he somehow avoid the force bolt.
"You know, I really don't know what it is with you people. Why do you feel the need to blindly leap into battles? I mean, we're freaking Arachnos. A frontal assault is bound to fail." -
((Mmmkay, so are you going to RP the rest of the battle or do we just skip ahead?))
