My elec/elec blaster's concept was entirely ranged (for all 50 levels) UNTIL I read your blaptroller guide a few weeks before I5 hit. I used the I5 free respec to become a blaptroller (applying most of your principles in your post), and have never had more fun playing this toon since.
IMHO, you have written the best guide on any AT/power set I have read (I have 9 lvl 20+ toons). But with ED on the horizon (and the resulting nerf to Short Circuit), that is all RUINED. And for that I am very sad.
I guess it is time to retire my first and most beloved toon. *sob* *sniff*
