Anyways, I find myself at a dilemma. Me, a collage art student, has exactly 42 cents in my bank account. I know, I checked last night. While the number is awesome, it is not conducive to living, or for that matter being able to play City of Heroes, which is probably worse than not being able to live.

So the only option to get work is to try and commission, as I am more likely to win the lottery than get a job in California at this current point in time (though it hasn't stopped me from trying D: try as I might, though...)

I've never done commissions before, mostly because I feel my artwork was never that impressive, so if you want something goofy or cheap I will probably be the one to go to.

I'm going to list off some examples: Keep in mind that some of these are up to two years old, some of the newer ones are in front, and some were class homework. I tried to pick ones to show my spectrum of drawing skills, but I have the niggling feeling that I left stuff out. Oh wells.

Just for some of the questions asked so far on the sins, I did decide to go with the traditional seven. However I have a secondary set of sins set up that include the others such as despair and vainglory as sidekicks to the seven, if there's enough interest.

I know, which is why I'm being particularly careful, especially with anyone who wants to play Lust. I have the most predetermined restrictions on him, including that- the character for Lust has to be male.

I do, and I like it even if it's a bit... typical? At any rate it should prove to be pretty fun if we get a competent group going.

So anyways, to the chase, I want to make a Seven Deadly Sins group, but not in a sissy way. How should I put this? I want it to be fun for all of the players, but most of all I want it to be fun for other players to watch us. Try to get some good fun villainous atmosphere going and all.

If you're interested PM me and I'll go over specific information of characters you may be interested in playing. If there's enough interest, we'll open up the 'lesser' sins as well, but right now I'm looking for major players for the major sins.

Q: Are the archetypes open or predetermined?

A: I have already laid out what archetypes I think fit the sin, but I am very open to discussion if you have a character in mind that needs a different set. I set them up because some just make sense, like Sloth being a MM.

Q: What about origins?

A: Okay, this is the big part I forgot. I don't want to be GRR WE'RE SINS. So origins are NOT demons or anything like that. Origins are open, as I want the sins to be the power for the character's villainy, not that the character is some sort of manifestation of the sin. While I'm in origin, I'm NOT looking for one-sided flat characters that are only defined by their sin, these ARE supposed to be people. Just EVIL.

Q: And names?

A: Names I am also looking to not be in-your-face obvious, but still generally in the theme of your sin.

My stalker friend Tech finally dragged me back online for Winter Event, and as soon as I got a hold of that halo you can bet your bottom dollar I flew Medi's butt right over to Icon and blinged out her empty costume slot.

She's 100% healer. Angel is a good image for her, lol.

Thank you! I used to style-hop so much... well, I kinda still do, but this one has been my favorite for a while, even though I haven't necessarily been drawing in a while.

Hrm, personality... I don't know when I started actively trying to get more mood into each character, but I think it started a few years back :'P I was once infected with the anime-dead-people syndrome. Then again I was young and- well, young. And a little stupid, but most everyone is stupid when they're young. I've been trying to get out of very anime-ish drawing for a long while, but it is a slow, slow process. @.@ It doesn't help that there's a still anime-y styles I still like to doodle every now and again- like the girl you see in my avatar.

Who? Techman? He's not an art-stalker, rather an in-game stalker B'D Well not that even, really, it's just a joke. He helped me form a Sister Psyche TF and a Terra Volta Trial when he didn't really have to do them :') that's what I love about City of Heroes- you'd be hard pressed to find people who would go out of their way to be nice and friendly in any other MMO (except FFXI. Really great people there, but only because stupid people don't usually have the patience for it!)

As for the characters? the story kinda... comes. After a while. The cousins are on Virtue, which was on purpose because I wanted to rp them a bit. First Miss Whisper was just an alt formed from a minor case of altitus on Liberty, then I made Miss Malarkey, who was originally on her own. Then one day while pacing and listening to music very loudly on my iPod I decided they should be cousins. I operated under this for a while, but still didn't remake Miss Whis on Virtue. Instead Miss Medi came around and she became the third cousin x'D With her the story formed about The River Oracle. (Who's name I got from my recent Exodus of Tucson, AZ. I practically lived on the corner of River and Oracle. >.&gt

Miss X

Okay okay okay- I'm painfully new and all that other fun stuff. It's been close to an age and a half since I drew anything and since I decided to have so many fun and exciting CoX characters at once I thought it might be high time to draw them.

If the bodies look like a sketchy afterthought- well good. Because they were.

I originally started just drawing their heads because I wanted to flesh them out in my head (as well as checking that I could still draw girls who didn't all look the same!). But when I got to the last one's hair it kinda lead to draw shoulders and a body sorta followed. After that I couldn't just leave the others as floating heads, so bodies followed. (And just so you know, the far left and right girls have the 'neck cover' mask option- I didn't forget to finish their outfits! xD)

I'm not going to tell you their huge long backstory because it is too long for me to want to write out right now, but essentially their granny The River Oracle (Missy Weaver) gave out all her gained superheroing powers to her children that carried it inactively until they had kids themselves.

These three girls are cousins, and the first of Missy's power line to resurface after she gave up heroing.

On the left is Miss Whisper (Maya Teller), age nineteen. So far the oldest but also least active of the heroes. She's studying to be a therapist and has the most calm and gentle personality out of the lot. She has the power to probe into people's minds and create false illusions.

In the middle is Miss Malarkey (Danielle Weaver), age sixteen. She's the tallest and most often mistaken for the oldest, but is actually the youngest. She's quite... active- and the most dedicated to the heroing life. She's uses her powers to create strange and most often painful visions in her enemies' minds. 'Malarkey' was suggested by her older brother because of the odd things she liked to have people see. (It is unknown if her brother is a hero himself or even has any powers.)

The rightmost is Miss Medicine (Alexis Weaver), age eighteen. She's a healer and takes her job very seriously. Because of her stern and quiet nature people mistake her for being severe, but she is usually just very focused on keeping other heroes on their feet.

Wow, that was more info than I intended. OH WELL :'D You get to read it ANYWAYS. Unless you skip it. I wouldn't blame ya.

So back on the arting front- I found out my scanner doesn't scan very detailed and there's no way I can think of fixing it. So annoying. This is what I got originally- well no, I lost the original image by accidentally saving over it, but this is it with the contrast raised just a little.

It's annoying because it doesn't look that way on the paper :'P the body lines aren't that much darker than the rest of it. I was hoping to get away with just some touch-ups, not just lazily linearting it. Ah, oh well. Can't win 'em all!

((And Larky ended up looking kinda squinty and evil in the 'finished' form. Huh. I'll have to fix that whenever I feel like not being lazy.))
