Quote:that may be true... but i believe that it is better to try and fail than not try at all......Sorry to rain on the parade here, but this would never happen.
Blizzard only produces games rated 5/5 stars before production. There has been a number of games, such as the Starcraft Ghost shooter/staking game that only got 4/5 stars and got canned (Even though it was a totally completed game).
Blizzard is the only game company in history that does this, and succeeds. At best we would see CoH2 in a long number of years, due to production, and even if they go to produce it, there is a VERY good chance the game would not make it into distribution because of this. Blizzard may have the money, but they probably don't rate this dated game a 5/5 by their standards.
Best wishes though,

Quote:Ah... my mistake... but the saying still stands true....."Flailing", not "failing". Although one tends to lead to the other.
And Kitsune is right. We're all upset, but random screaming won't save the game. "At least I'm doing something!" isn't actually an excuse when what you're doing is actively counterproductive and everyone else isn't exactly sitting on their hands.
but could you be a dear and actually point and explain what i am doing that is "actively counterproductive"....... and when did i or anyone else scream randomly or say "at least i'm doing something".....? i am well aware that everyone else isn't exactly sitting on their hands, but what i don't understand here is this; we are all advocates of the CoX games are we not....? why then are we throwing stones at each other.....? why are we not banding together and helping one another come up with productive ideas instead of simply pointing out what someone perceives as counter-production.....? this is what i mean when i say kindly step aside if you're not going to help..... because all of the back and forth banter is detracting to everyone involved here...... -
i beg to differ.... failure has not even been attained here and there is no way of knowing weather or not the attempt will succeed or fail unless you are first willing to try.... i am not content to sit idly by while a game that i love dies an unnecessary death...... there are petitions facebook pages and boycott NCSoft forums that have popped up since this announcement...... so it would seem that thought has already been put into this...... also at the beginning of my previous post i stated how i interpreted the gentleman in whom i was replying to and admitted that i could be wrong in that perception..... i respect your opinion sir but if you can't muster any better ideas on how to save this game then i say again kindly step aside.......

Quote:now this may only be the perception from my vantage point but it seems to me like you're trying to be the voice of reason..... there is no reason here... people are upset angry and frantically trying to get someone... ANYONE to save CoX...... there is no reason only a line in the sand in which sides have been chosen.... I along with Moonfyire 101 are on the side that wants to save CoX and are trying to do all we can.... you sir or madam seem to be on the side that does not care if this game parishes.... if that isn't the case then i have merely just misunderstood your posts... but if that is in fact the case i would kindly ask you to stop shooting the messenger and step aside if you're not going to help.......Extremely doubtful. EA (which is pretty much universally loathed) is still going quite strong, despite countless attempts to boycott them for quite heinous actions. If the boycott of NC is as effective as the boycott of EA, all the people that have been shouting the loudest to boycott them will be going out and buying Guild Wars 2 fairly soon.
Before burning the bridges, it'd be better if we tried to focus on crossing them (i.e. supporting Tony's efforts to get NCSoft to sell the IP and/or the code).
CoH will be their fifth MMO they've closed (Auto Assault, Tabula Rasa, Dungeon Runners, and Dragonica being the prior four). I kinda have to think that at this point, one more isn't really gonna hurt their track record.
