    Ice/kin advice

First off, I'm not trying to farm anything, then I wouldn't put it at +4. I just like beating up a bunch of high levels. I know Ice isn't the best powerset, it just seemed like a good combination with kinetics and I always wanted to make one.

I didn't take frostbite because it f*cks up ice slick and I just love watching them bounce up and down. And I don't have any other AoE dmg power to take advantage of the containment.

Also I don't really see where I lost some functionality of powers. I could get some more recharge out of ice blast and frost breath but with so much global recharge I didn't see much difference.

You're right about the regen, I get 1% more with the Numina Heal. Maybe I'm better off using the slot elsewhere.

You got me confused though. I'm by no means the best at making builds but saying you can do aswel with a SO build, that's harsh. I wasn't really looking to "plug in the most expensive sets", I wanted to get my S/L defences capped (which was unexpensive) and then get as much recharge as I could. Any pointers that you have would be most appreciated.

I use cheap sets and then slowly replace them with more expensive ones. I just use these builds so I have something to work to, it keeps me busy.

Oh yeah, and thanks for the replies!

    Ice/kin advice

As I don't find any ice/kin build here, I thought I'd post one. I think ice and kin have a lot of synergy so I wanted to make one. Quite an expensive build but it's made for teaming and hard missions. My question is simple enough: Is it possible to solo +4/x8 with this? I don't expect it to be easy but I would like to be able to do it. Thanks in advance for any advice

  3. Thanks for all the replies!

So it seems fire/traps has the most votes, unanimous even
As for traps not being top dog for farming, I don't mind it being a bit slower as long as I can do it at a reasonable speed.
  4. What would be the most efficient in these cases:
    teaming
    farming
    AV soloing

I'm looking for a new main as a general character that can do most of these things. I have been away for too long and have a hard time deciding between the two. I know that fire/traps is a god for AV soloing but he might have some downsides I haven't considered.

For now I have been playing them both and they are a lot of fun.
  5. Master Zaprobo thank you for that link.
"/inspexec_pet_target inspiration" is the command I was looking for.
  6. Is there any way to make a bind to give an inspiration to a targetted henchman?
Like for example bind numpad1 to give enrage to targeted henchman.

Or are there any other good ways to give inspirations to henchmen? I find dragging and dropping them to be tiresome and sometimes you drop them and they don't work.

I couldn't find anything on this subject in the guides section.
  7. Name: Ponder Stibbons
    Gender: Male
    Archetype: Mastermind
    Powerset: Demon Summoning/Traps
Based on a fictional character from the Discworld Novels of Terry Pratchett

Ponder Stibbons is a wizard, of sorts, at the Unseen University, most of his time is spend at the High Energy Magic Building where he conducts many experiments. One day it went horribly wrong. Or at least more horribly wrong then usually.

He was meddling with time and space to prove that apples and oranges can indeed be compared.* When putting the subjects into the space-time-continuum-breaker he tripped and fell into it himself, losing consciousness. Dizzy and full of vitamins from colliding with the apple and the orange, he found himself in a basement filled with demons. The demons were discussing something.
“What should we do with him?”
    “Can I eat him?”
“No! How can we find a place in society if you keep eating humans!?”
“I think the proper way to do this is to ask if he’s all right”
    “… maybe just a leg?”
“Euh… are you all right Puny Huma… I mean… valuable member of society?”
“… or a foot perhaps?” “Shut up”
“Yeah, I’m alright I guess” Ponder replied and kicked the demon that was chewing on his foot.
After some introductions and a long talk Ponder Stibbons found out he was on a round ball of rock called earth.** There are a lot of demons on this world, all living underground, being feared and hunted by the humans that live above. This small band of demons won’t have it anymore and want to be part of society with equal rights. Ponder Stibbons agrees to help them achieve that goal and together they push for the Demons Equal Value In Life Act or DEVIL Act in short. Activities include holding protest signs, handing out pamphlets and shouting slogans. Also fighting crime because it's good for their image.

*A comparison of the 4000—400 cm-1 (2.5—25 5 um) infrared transmission spectra of a Granny Smith Apple and a Sunkist Navel Orange did actually prove this.
**Coming from a flat world balanced on the backs of four elephants which, in turn, stand on the back of a giant turtle, this idea of a huge ball of rock was strange to say the least. It should be a balancing act just to stay on top of the damn thing.
  8. I think with this build it is better to grab all the agro before sending in the ninja's, thus team teleport is not really needed. Besides, you can't use it in a party because it will piss people off.

Maybe this build is too defensive and I'm better off getting more recharge or something. Still it's fun when nothing can hurt you.
  9. Been playing on and off ever since beta and just resubbed. Waiting for my client to update I'm just making some fun builds.

    Highlight's of this build:
    softcap ranged and AOE defence
    66.4 S/L resists
Lots of regen with Triage Beacon and Aid Self for over the top healing.

Point is to tank for your pets with provoke. Even if your pets die and you loose bodyguard you have more then enough defense to just stand there and resummon.

I'm sure this build is not optimal, it's more a proof of concept. Let me know what you think.
