I'm not sure if the Home versions of Vista and 7 allow for this, but I know Windows 7 Professional does.

It's handy if you have a lot of startup programs, or don't want to re-open all your tabs, or whatever might be going on, while letting you leave power-saving features on.

Great tip, switch user is a good workaround, you don't even have to switch to another user just use the function itself.

I haven't find any way to prevent it from losing the hdmi audio link after idling too long even without any sleep or powersave.

Performance in game is excellent though.
  2. I upgraded from 12.1 to 12.4 and it gave me a really big performance boost!

The driver however has a general problem with HDMI audio out if you are using that, if your computer goes into sleep/powersave it will lose the audio link and only way to remedy that is by relogging your user.

It's clearly a bug in the driver but I'm trying different ways of solving this right now mainly by disabling all manners of powersaving and sleep for the display/PCI slots.
