Nova-X teleports himself to his penthouse apartment.Walking in from the expansive balcony overlooking Atlas Park he hears his wife putting his daughter to bed.He takes off his cape and mask on his way to the bar.
Nova-X pours himself a vodka tonic.More than likely not his last of the evening.Sitting in the dark alone and thinking of the future.

His comlink to Siberian Wall keeps going off.

He turns it off and pours himself another drink.He talks with his wife about the usual "how was your day" etc etc.One thing he cant get off his mind.

Aliens.

1st the rikti almost destroyed Crey Industries.Paragon city too but the city has its own heroes.Nova-X concerns are that of Crey Biotech and this alien "Pheadra" is something to think on.

He decides to go out.

Nova-X puts on his Solo costume.Solid black with maroon lines.At night the criminals in alleys cant see him.Tonight he will work out his frustration.
If he has to have this Pheadra on the team somethings gotta give and it may as well be some criminal.

Another drink or two and he is out the door to Kings Row.1st stop is garment district.Who is to say what happens to a criminal in custody?

This night a LOT of criminals do not end up in jail or Crey detention centers.The next morning some hellions are found in the area of the garment district.

Not alive.

The police can only assume they were dropped from the sky.

Nova-X walks into Crey Bitotech security offices the next morning.A bit hung over and not having shaved the rest of the team looks at him....including Pheadra.He walks straight into his office and opens his desk drawer.Pouring vodka into his coffee he says a silent thank you to Siberian Wall for the imported "Stoli".Walking out into the day room he walks up to Pheadra.

The room is silent.

Nova-X says"Pheadra welcome to H.E.R.O. Corps i just know you will be a model employee".

H.E.R.O. Corps has opened offices in North america in all 3 time zones.As if this wasn't news enough in a move that stunned all of Paragon city H.E.R.O. Corps has signed a contract with Crey biotech to provide security to all Crey properties,facilites and employees.
Rumors have it that the contract is worth millions.When approached for a statement the lead supervisor,Nova-X,had this to say"We negotiated for sometime with Crey Biotech to be its security and are pleased with the contract.What hero would NOT want to get paid with bonuses and incentives."
Henry Peter Wong was not available for comment but was seen in Atlas Park with a rare but big smile upon his face.In a conversation with Nova-X he was overheard to say"She wants full recovery of all superpowered beings found trespassing on Crey properties".

Sounds like a really good idea and the game is evolving.

Nova-X and Siberian Wall arrived at the warehouse together and saw at the front door a small blue humanoid with antennae.

"Nova-X what is going on with you today you seem agitated?"Siberian Wall Asked.

"Were going to have a few new appointments to the team i feel like its being shoved down our throats and i dont like it!"Nova-X replied bitterly.

"Got some names then?"Said Siberian Wall.

"Well the 1st one is get this a old security bot that was found recently in a Crey warehouse and its got an ego to match Henry Peter Wong!"Said Nova-X

Siberian Wall paused a moment before saying"A robot?No this must be some mistake what are they thinking about?"Nova-X replied "Well it may have more to do with the other new member than us...

Siberian Wall looked at Nova-X with a puzzeled look on his face.The Small blue humanoid approached the 2 employees of H.E.R.O. Corp.The 2 turned and faced her.

"Hi ive been sent by Suzy in HR to help?My name is Phea"Nova-X interrupted her"We dont have time for introductions miss.That can wait right now we need to resecure this warehouse if Suzy sent you its good enough for me."

The 3 entered the warehouse and encountered a group of squatters that were extremely violent.In the process of sterilizing the warehouse itself the newest employee of Crey industries worked well with the team of Nova-X and Siberian Wall.

So much so that Nova-X thought that whoever hired her found a much needed team member for H.E.R.O. Corp.

The warehouse was cleared of all squatters the 3 hero's paused at the front door.

"Well miss...oh thats right we didnt introduce ourselves...whats your name miss?"Nova-X asked

"Im called Pheadra."she replied

Stunned at this development Nova-x teleported back to his penthouse apartment and poured himself a drink.

"Pheadra my name is Siberian Wall dont mind the boss hes just really stressed right now.This is a very stressful job and he just needs a break its nothing personal against you."Siberian wall reassured her.

"Well i just want to be the best team member that i can be i hope he doesnt think im ....i dont know."she replied.

As the securitybot seemed to awake after being reprogrammed it looked directly at Nova-X.It took 2 steps forward and spoke.

"Mr.Wong there appears to be a security breach in a Crey industry warehouse in Kings Row.Peter how does this security bot know this BEFORE the security center?"Nova-X relplied in response.Ive no idea Nova-X but if its what i think then the security center may be due for downsizing."

The MK-IV centurion security bot was designed by Crey industries to have linked sensors to all Crey facilities.This added to the expensive nature of producing more than one.

"Centurion what do you recommend for resecuring the facility?"Peter asked "A team of 3 trained in small area fighting"Nova-X rolled his eyes and thought heck we could have been there by now if we had just left.But no Mr.Wong has to consult the bucket of bolts before we DO anything.
Nova-X opened up a communication link with Siberian Wall one of his lead officers."Siberian Wall can you be ready to go over to Kings Row asap?"Siberian wall responded"Sure thing Nova-X hey you all right?Yeah im ok ill have a surprise for you though...remember that warehouse we secured last week?Yeah yeah i remember that the one with all the clockwork right?Yes well its been breached again."
Siberian Wall is puzzled by this because the security center is usually on the money with any breach in security.

Siberian Wall asked"Nova why hasnt the security center alerted us to this and HOW do you know this?Thats the surprise Wall meet me at the warehouse in King's Row ill explain it all when we get there."

Peter Henry Wong looked at Nova-X and said "Nova-X when your done with that i want you and the entire team to meet me in the training center.Ive got a new team member id like you to meet.Sure Peter but i thought i was going to be allowed to hire and fire whomever i wanted?"Nova-X are you questioning my or Ms.Crey's authority on such matters?No No not at all im just a bit confused i wasnt aware that you would be appointing team members."
Nova-X thought to himself "Great 1st this bucket of bolts with an ego and now a mystery member.
"Peter"Nova-X said"Can i have a name at the very least?Sure Nova the aliens name is Pheadra she is not of this world.What!!Damnit havent we had enough alien trouble?The damn rikti nearly destroyed us!!

Nova-X was more shocked than upset or mad about the clear undermining of his authority.

"Fine"Nova-X replied"Well be back later to meet this alien Peter but it doesnt mean the team will approve of her.Me?sure ill do me best to get along with this Pheadra but it doesnt mean ill trust her."
Peter smiled at Nova-x and said"Not only will you get along and trust her but you may at your approval of course promote her to officer one day.Ive got a warehouse to secure ill see you later." Nova -x replied angrily.

Nova-X sat his desk thinking of the training room and how he would much rather be there at this very moment.His phone rang and he hit the speaker button:

"Ted Mathews here who is this?Ted this is Peter Henry Wong will you please meet me down in the subbasement sector 3 immediately?"
"Sure thing Peter ill be down right away."Good ill meet you there,Replied Peter."

Subbasement sector3 is a highly secure facility within the campus of Crey industries.Ted Mathews remembers a previous conversation about a security bot that had been recently recovered.The subject was never breached again so Ted had dropped the issue thinking it was a need to know kind of thing.

Upon approaching the door a synthetic computer voice barked at him"Halt!!Remain where you are!!!".Step forward to the eye scanner and finger print reader"
Ted was cleared for entry and entered the area to find Peter Henry Wong standing next to what looked like a small tank on legs.

"Ted come over here i want you to see something we just found .
What is this Peter?It looks like a ...well a old security bot that was developed years and years ago...?"

It most certainly is,developed over a decade ago to keep Crey facilities secure it was too expensive to develop so it was shutdown and stored all but forgotten.Ted asked"so why the secure area "?Peter replied "well Ted this is the newest member of H.E.R.O. Corp"."That being said lets activate him hes got a whole new operating system and AI to go with it.
The MK-IV Centurion booted up from a virtual coma and moved its arms and legs in a manner as to look as if it was streching.It then caught on fire."Ted quickly on the wall a extenguisher!!!"Peter yelled.Then the Centurion talked for the 1st time in 12 years:"I am a MK-IV Centurion a one of a kind security bot responsible for keeping the Countess Crey's facilities secure."Great" thought Ted"A bot with an ego thats what i need on the team"

A few months ago Ted Mathews was just another R and D employee. He specializied in electrical fields that could cause damage and help human body's electrical field heal the body.

Mr.Wong had been alerted by Ms.Crey herself as to the potential of an electrical dispersal belt Mr.Mathews had invented.Ms.Crey had suggested that perhaps Mr.Mathews would be good H.E.R.O. Corp material.Mr.Wong observed Ted for quite some time.Seeing that he worked well within a team building environment Mr.Wong decided that Ms.Crey was right.

Then again Ms.Crey is never wrong.

One day the manager for H.E.R.O. Corp called Ted Mathews into his office.Peter Henry Wong is head of security for Crey industries and Mr.Mathews was a bit perplexed about this.Ted had not done anything wrong as far as he knew.

The Conversation:

Mr.Wong:Mr.Mathews please have a seat we have much to discuss.

Mr.Mathews:Whats this about ive not violated the NDA for Crey industries?

Mr.Wong:Mr.Mathews i have been observing you.You have natural leadership qualities that i woud like to take advantage of.Mr.Mathews your talents are wasted in R and D.I need you and Crey industries needs you.How would you like to be a 2nd tier manager for H.E.R.O. Corp?

Mr.Mathews:Mr.Wong i ......im shocked im just an average working joe i dont have any powers or a "supersuit" or anything...

Mr.Wong:Not to worry Mr.Mathews Crey industries will handle all training and as far as your"supersuit"we prefer to call them Security uniforms.Oh and Mr.Mathews the jump to 2nd tier management means a substantial bonus per year and a large jump in salary.

Mr.Mathews:Well um .....Ok i am just surprised of course ill do it Crey industries has helped my family so much id be glad to do this for them.What does it entail exactly?

Mr.Wong:H.E.R.O. Corp provides security for Crey industries but we have been known to "outsource"our talents for an"influential"increase in the communities.We dont take money for such ventures we do get paid quite well by Ms.Crey.Most of the time it involves an escort of hero's outside of our organization across hazard zones.This is quite rare but we have done it before.We have a marketing research firm developing ideas based upon this as well.
You will be completly in charge of interviewing and recruiting within H.E.R.O. Corp with myself and Ms.Crey having final word on such hires.
Your training will begin immediatley Mr.Mathews.How about an ID for yourself?

MrMathews:ID?Like a hero name?

Mr.Wong:Yes a hero name.You invented that belt yes?Why not something based upon that?We thought you could use the belt you seem to excel at its use.

Mr.Mathews:Hmmm ok i saw a show on TV last nite about stars and space....how about Nova-X?

Mr.Wong:Excellent choice we will have an ID card made for you right away.Please do not lose this card it will allow you access to any Crey facility.The loss f the card will cost you 30 Dollars and will be deducted automatically from your paycheck.

Mr.Mathews:Ok sure sure i understand....so thats it?

Mr.Wong:Yes "Nova-X" welcome to H.E.R.O. Corp.Please go see Suzy in HR she will have some paperwork to fill out concerning your department transfer.I will see you tomorrow for training and "physical therapy development".

In the months to come Nova-X was made aware of the distrust amongst the hero's in Paragon city concerning Crey industries.

He didnt care.Neither did the employees he had hired.Crey industries didnt care either.They didnt conduct back ground checks on anyone.Crey gave a much needed break to people who couldnt get hired by the local SG's without a background check.

Currently H.E.R.O. Corps roster was small but it was growing slowly.Afterall this is a longterm process.Better to hire the people who wanted to work.

Afterall money is the single most motivating factor at Crey industries.

Nova-X went over the roster in his mind:Siberian wall,Conflamer,Multipathe and Ex-Caliber.

Mr.wong had alerted Nova-X to the possibility that a newly discovered security bot had been found in an old Crey warehouse and may be joining the team soon.

H.E.R.O. Corp employees,Nova-X,Multipathe and Siberian Wall succesfully reclaimed another Crey industries warehouse in King's Row.

Sent by Ms.Crey herself to "sterilize" the surrounding area the 3 hero's were met by squatters claiming the warehouse for themselves.

The squatters were actually members of the notorious skulls gang and were accompanied by a low level gang boss as well.The warehouse itself was being misused and abused by the gang.

The warehouse itself had several hundered crates of an experimental drug that is currently being tested in several Crey industry labs and is awaiting approval by the FDA.

Upon entering the warehouse the 3 heroes immediatley encountered gang members attempting to open the contents of several crates on a loading dock.The gangmembers seeing the 3 heroes opened fire and were putdown right away.The warehouse was then "sterilized" after wich Crey industry environmental specialists were airlifted in by helicopter.

Needless to say a very grateful King's Row community turned out to see the skulls being carted off to jail.The Supervisor of H.E.R.O. Corps (2nd tier management under Peter Henry Wong)Nova-X held a press conference upon the loading dock of the reclaimed warehouse.

Here is some of what he had to say:

"Ladies and gentleman this warehouse is Crey industry property not a squatters home or gang hq.This is another example of Paragon cities socalled "lawenforcement"at work.Yes even King's Row 's "finest" could not achieve the results that H.E.R.O. Corp has today.
I cant print ALL of what he had to say quite frankly most of it was extremly arrogant.

When the press conference was over Nova-X had this to say to the reporters and police in attendance:

"Again let me state this is Crey industry property.Thats all please do not loiter around the loading docks or H.E.R.O. Corp will take immediate action.Good bye and good day!!!

Several of the skulls taken to jail were badly beaten up and bruised.One of the skulls was heard to have said that Siberian Wall doesnt know how strong he really is.
