Mr E knows his Statesman's TF. The very first time I *ever* did a Statesman TF was on one of Mr E's Master of Runs. I had only been in the game about 3-4 months at that point. We was successful, that's how good he is at giving instructions on it
Sorry I missed out last night everyone. I've had a nutty week at work so far, and I had a doozy of a migraine last night. I crashed out before you all even started. See you all next time! -
Quote:When we get ready to do this, can we do the two weeks thing again to get heroes switched over to Villain side? I have only 1 hero who is halfway at the moment, and she's actually on the path to become a hero again. I'll need to move someone else back over.Indeed
I will also be adding in a couple of things to end closer to the Monday Night run - at which point we will go to Villainous Wednesdays for Fallen Heroes.
Or I could cheat and just bring a scrapper from Praetoria who is already on red side... Hmmm -
Quote:No, Mr E is shaking his schedule up a bit and doing the Statesman's TF tonight. The sign up sheet is here:Assuming Part III of this is happening tonight?
I'll see if I can crash less. Though that seems to be the Irritation du Jour lately. The only difference, besides the updated client, is I'm running Game Booster sometimes. ???

He'll be going back to work on the badge missions at some point. I think he just wanted a change for the week -
Quote:Have you ever done the Statesman TF before? The Tree of thorns respec is the same map as the one used in the middle of the Statesman's TF. It goes much quicker than a hero respec. What are you planning on running? WST that weekend blue side is dumb, ol Terra Volta, which I hate. I can get a pizza delivered faster than it takes to hang out in that reactor. But Saltier is a vigilante, so that's cool. But I'm not sure what Tree of Thorns is like.

Thanks to everyone for joining last night! I think we had 2 teams of 7, and 1 team of 6 run the Barracuda Strike Force.
My team was:
Soothesayer Talona: Mind/Thorns Dom
Bleakest Death: Zombie/Dark MM
Torrtuga: Fire/WP Brute
Motorpsycho Nitemare: Psi/MM Blaster
Double Shot: DP/Fire Blaster
Super Love: Brute
Don't Call Me Frosty: Ill/Cold Controller
We finished in 1:56:11 with 48 deaths. Almost all of which were in the final mission
Yeah, our final battle w/ Reichs was about that long. My husband was on Torrtuga who was a level shifted Brute. I think that's what helped him keep standing through our massive team wipes. Eventually we started hitting the hospital and coming back, but the ambushes had clogged the hallways so bad that we kept dying just trying to get into the main room. Finally I had my husband team TP our corpses into a corner of the room and he then taunted the remaining mobs back across the room. This allowed about 3 of us to self rez, and start pulling the rest of the team back to the room to rez. Once we did that, and the ambushes had stopped, we was able to take him down in just a couple of minutes.
I continue to dislike this TF just for that one mission. The rest of the TF rocks
Next week will be the Lady Grey TF. It's also the TF of the week. I'm hoping we have 3 full teams for it.
Thanks again, and see you all next time! -
REMINDER! This is TONIGHT! Still a few spots open. See you all tonight! =)

Quote:Lots of fun last night Mr E! Thanks!
Thanks for joining everyone - next week the WST is Lady Grey if I am not mistaken, so I will be running back-to-back MoLGTFs (maybe a 3rd if we run quick & smooth)!
I'll be around for next Sat night. Back to Back MoLGTF's sounds fun. -
It's fun. Did you also say you had not run Dr. Kahn either? If so, you'll enjoy running Kahn tomorrow night, then Barracuda on Monday. They are the same story, but obviously told from opposite sides. As in how the Villains are getting things in place for what the Hero's go through in their TF =)
-
Sounds good. You all are always welcome, and we love having you all join us =)

Quote:I'm stalled out in the low 20's on my PB and WS as well. The 40's is when I really came to enjoy my Ill/Storm. I *have* to have some way to attack often. I'm good at playing support, but I really need some form of attack. So w/ my Ill/Storm, I was able to pick up Fire Blast and Fire Ball out of the epic sets, and now I love her.ill/storm is crazy, crazy stuff. And really unlike any other AT combo. I highly recommend making one, but mine stalled in the 40s.
I found my widow boring. I know, sacrilege, but I also haven't managed to get a Kheld into the 20s either.
Edit: And if you're going to be playing the toon on a team regularly, Earth/Rad Controllers rock. Nothing as fun as being able to lock down all the mobs. You might not be able to damage them enough on your own to take them down, but it's very satisfying to lock down annoying EB's/AV's etc. -
Quote:Dark/Ice Defenders are pretty fun. Dark/Dark Defenders are okay, but Dark/Ice is more fun imo. I'm very fond of my Archery/MM Blaster. She's pretty beastly. Claws/WP Scrappers are fun. Dual Blade/WP Brutes are fun. Mind Dom's are fun. Ill/Storm is fun, but endurance hungry in the low levels. Plant Controllers and Doms are fun. DP/Energy Melee Blasters are fun. Widows are fun.Do you want a challenge with an AT that has issues? I'd suggest anything with kb. And if you've never done MA/ Scrapper, it's kinda neat.
I'd like some new, crazy AT where I could have Dual Pistols/Martial Arts. They could call it the Faceplant AT. Your special inherent would be a rez with a 30 second recharge.
Back on topic. My thoughts go to the most unfarmy stuff due to your history. If you've never played Katana, it's neat. Fire blasting, I'm sure you've done that, I love it paired with ice.
I've always wanted to make a Dark/Dark defender, but it's just not my thing. I'm currently digging my ice/dark tank, and I think I'm going to give up on my AR/Ice blaster.
I'm going through an ice phase, now that I look at my ATs.

Updated the roster with some regulars I harassed tonight at the Thursday night TF run

Quote:And what is it that Mr. E says on Team Speak on Friday nights when things go nutty?? Is it "Just frack it?" I think he should change it to "Eh, just Turg it!".Turg'd
I've been Turg'd
Turg Me
You are such a Turg
You have received the medal of Turg
All good items of self discovery...

It's a fun TF. And Invincible Richs is unkillable in the first mission you see him in. You really just have to run from the mission and let it time itself out when you're doing an MO run because he will smack a person down in one hit. I think that he might have been defeated by teams in the first beta, but he's been changed since then.
-
I'll be there unless someone really wants the MO badge. I'll update with a toon later tonight once I look at my lists.

Quote:I'm hoping you got my email the other day MB. But yeah, too late on the crying part, I am a little weepy over you two leaving.I love you guys, and I'm sorry I wont be joining you for the next round. Being a part of this for the last couple years has really been wonderful.I want to wish everybody well and I'm sure you'll all have lots of fun!
Edit to add:
"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."But I understand the "why". I'm going to miss you something fierce.
Quote:Going to echo MB here. The Development team is moving the game in a direction I don't enjoy, so I'm just gonna pack it up and head on to other things. Thanks for setting this up for the last few years, Luna. I've been able to meet a lot of great folks I wouldn't have otherwise stumbled across and get a ton of badges and what-not.
And no, you can't have my stuff.
Quote:You can put me down as a regular Luna
Ill be playing Angeliscar Inv/Kin tank (Kinda nervous about tanking as I've never done it)
Also would like to say thanks MB and Paragon for hanging around, I've learnt alot from both of you and will definately be missed
Quote:Put me as a semi regular. I should be there most times and will let you know if I am unable to attend. Toons are TBA.
Also with having to move in the not to distant future....I dunno if I will have access to the interwebs for a while. I will let you know!
On a side note, I know that both MB and Paragon have expressed dislike for Facebook. But I did want to say that you all are both welcome to join Facebook if for no reason more than to keep in touch with the people you have met here. We have a growing community of about 30ish Horde Players on there, and some of us have become much better friends because of it. In fact, I think that's the part of you two leaving that sucks the most. That I won't get to talk to you all anymore, and keep up with how you all are faring in life. That's the part that makes me weepy. You can even use a fake name and pic like Turg does on thereJust something for you all to consider. I will truly miss you all when you are gone. For those wondering, Paragon's last day will be early next week. MB will be around until early June I think he said.

Next time you are on one Turg, and see me online, drop me a line. I'm a Hami Newb. I need to fix this.

Quote:What time is Tanker Tuesday's run? 9pm Eastern I think? If we could get an earlier time that didn't conflict with Tanker Tuesdays, I'd be happy to co-lead (or take the lead) for you.
I'm one of the co-leads for Protector's Rush the Rikti ship raid events every Wednesday and I've led various PUG raids successfully in the past as well. -
Oh yeah, and let me state now, that I'll be running enough events that people who come on a regular basis should be able to drag a toon up from level 1 to 50 if they so desire. People are also welcome to bring 50's and play them the entire time if they so desire, and finally, they are welcome to trade out toons every week if they so desire!
Yeah, I have a rabid dislike of Council Caves, and usually I spend those TF's complaining in team chat about them lol. The Shadow Shard stuff we usually break Dr. Q and Faathim up into two night events since they are so long. One thing I did last Hero run was run a Shard event one week, then run something else the next week, then back to the shard. It helps to split those things up rather than have an entire month stuck in the shard =)
The only event I outright hate is the Sewer Trial, because my team always fails at it. If I'm on a team that someone else is leading, it succeeds.. If I'm leading, it fails :smirk:
