I hope this is ok for me to discuss here. I promise not to go into too much detail. But I want an honest response from the RP community. Am trying my best to find and settle into a character that I will enjoy playing for awhile. Have had to remake several times, etc. Well I found a character I think I can run with and have fun RP'ing with but...wow *blinks* just wow. Believe me when I say I am not exagerating much when I tell you I am only lvl 6 and as soon as I log in I am asked if I want to be someone's Mistress, "little girl", slave and/or someone randomly starts RP'ing graphically sexual material while I am in the middle of a mission. I do not know anyone in this game and have only grouped once or twice.
How normal is this!? Am I going to have to suck it up in order to continue playing because I truly do not know if I will be able to. It hinders my enjoyment immensly. I want to make friends, not have cyber flings. Am I just naive? I do understand the suggestive clothing contributes to the atmosphere but we are super heroes/villains! Women in comic books have always been extremely *hrms* What is the word I look for? I try to downplay the whole sex appeal factor without losing all femininity, but in no way do I think I am "asking" for this sort of behavior.
Am just shocked and don't know the community well enough to know if I have just had a run of bad apples. Has CoX become an adult chatroom?
