Awesome picture, Mar! The picture itself tells the story you gave to go along with it, very expressive. Congratulations!

Great idea, Juggertha, it's very gracious of you to do this. I would enter Lightslinger, but I think he's better suited for a Spring/Summer month. Good luck to all the entrants for January though!
I just got a calendar the Legion of Valor (Victory SG) put together with art from our patron artist, Curt Allen, check it out here. -
Awesome work on the first two, SL. I agree with Black Magistar, your use of color is great.

Awesome work on Serengeti Lord, great job! I'd love to see your take on Lightslinger if you get a chance. Lightslinger

The guy who did the render, Curt Allen, his site is currently down, should be up sometime after the new year, I'll be sure to link it when he brings the gallery back up.
However, Curt has done a ton of art for my super group, the Legion of Valor (Victory), and all his work is featured in our gallery, which you can view at our website legionofvalor.guildportal.com
Be sure to check out the gigantic group picture he did (LS wasn't around for that one)
Seikon, who did my JLU style drawing, has also done some other work that is in our gallery at the above address.
Thanks for all the kind words, nice to meet everyone! -
I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now and enjoying everyone's amazing artwork. I thought I'd share a bit of my own, this is my main hero, Lightslinger.
Powers: Energy/Energy Blaster
Inspiration for Lightslinger: Classic DC, Superman, Flash, mixed with a bit of an Old West cowboy personality.
Bio: Hayden could create light before he could talk, he could hover before he could walk, and as he turned four, he was creating coherent light. His parents tried hard to keep him grounded and safe, going so far as to move from the city to a family farm in the rural south to keep him out of the spotlight. There they taught him how to be a good hero and most importantly, a good man. Now, at 20 years old, the Lightslinger comes to Paragon City chomping at the bit to dispense justice, but he often gets into situations far too dangerous himself alone.
The Lightslinger
Lightslinger by a fellow Legion of Valor member, Seikon. I love the JLU style he used here.
Lightslinger by Legion of Valor's patron artist, Curt Allen. I love how he captures the attitude of Lightslinger perfectly.
