I had planned to keep some recharge in sleet, but not max it. Currently its at 15s recharge, dropping the recharge enhancments, and just slotting for the debuff and AH proc, its at 18.5s with my global recharge. This isnt including the t4 ageless destiny slot. Is it worth the slot for that three seconds (less with the constant recharge buff from ageless)?

What build(s) would be the most survivable? i.e. you have to work hard to actually die with this toon. I was thinking probably a defense heavy base powerset, slotted in some resists, with cardiac and rebirth radial. But i havent played around with it much, anyone got a better idea?
I mean overall against all damage types/positions, should have been more specific. -
I should mention that the mace build puts PR at 6s recast. Can someone explain how the dots/debuffs stack, if at all?

I find I spend more time on Mids than in game lately, tweaking away on builds. So, this is for my ill/cold perma PA musculature build. Currently, I have ice blast, frozen armor, ice storm and hibernate. I went this way with LM's thought on the attack chain. SW is about 1.5s recharge, 2s blast, 2.3 blind. It feels like i could lose the ice blast and not really lose any continuity of casting. Given this could be a by product of the trial lag. Bottom line, the build i am using works well. It could stand some tweaking with the latest patch, between the reactive nerf (ice storm can go imo), and the allowing of ninja and beast run in trials, i can drop my travel power. I have this newer build pretty much laid out, adding in leadership and the other shield i opted out of (cant wait for the 30yard shield alls heh).
Then I have this itch. I am just really curious about Mace mastery. I wouldnt really consider any of the others since the toon is more heavily focused on defenses than resists. This gives me the shield, poisonous ray and another perma pet. It really boils down to the two ST attacks i think. Numbers wise, mids has ice blast way ahead on dps. This makes sense. It doesnt reflect the -res from ray, or the achilles proc i put into it, or the added dps from the tarantula.
I know this is a bit silly with T4 warworks, t4 musculature, t3 reactive, t3 ageless, and t3 ion currently. Its more of seeing how much more i can squeeze out of the build on the cheap. I could still fit in an apoc and rag, but i dont have the inf to do so atm and the gains arent that substantial beyond the +dam.
So, to summarize, how does the poisonous ray/pet compare to ice blast?
One more thing, with the reactive nerf, is there really any reason to slot sleet for recharge? from my understanding the debuff is 30s, and im only really slotting an extra damage hit/chance for AH proc. -
Anyone? Plan on doing some duo's with friends ill/rad, and running trials with this toon. I'm happy to provide any other information, but I'd like some expert opinion before i start buying and use my respec

Not wanting to hijack doyler's thread, i opted to make a new one. Like the title says this is an attempt at a budget build for my new 50. Used a couple of builds in the other thread as a template, and shifted set bonuses as necessary to drop the price from the purple sets out. Dropped soft cap on s/l and a few other things. Anyway, if you can help me get a little more bang for the buck, I would appreciate it. I may be able to swap in another purple set, I'll have to see where i stand afterwards. Going with spiritual most likely for alpha, with reactive interface.

I got my 75% proc from reactive. Now which T3 Cardiac should i take? I'm guessing go with the total core since im capped on fire resist already?
-
Hmm, i see what you did there. This gives me some ideas. I'll repost if i come up with anything useful.

I actually swapped over to a ss/fire brute for farming first. Got him to 50 in a couple of days. Gonna use him to boost my VEATs and my plant/fire a bit. the low levels are soo boring without powers. I wont pl them all the way to 50 though, i dont wanna be broken, maybe 40 though...
-
Okay, so after reading this entire thread, I have fixed my issues with formatting and what not. My question is this: Is there a way to make the window stay up after option selection? I was using it to make insps during farming and I really cannot see a reason to use it over a bind. Someone fix me?
-
Rolled an elec/fire, gonna use it for farming and general mayhem.
-
I'm not really opposed to a scrapper. I have limited experience with them, and its been years. But i think that i would really miss the taunt aura and taunts on attacks i get with a brute, i really hate chasing runners. As far as damage vs survivability, my impression is that its negligible until purples come into play, and even then isnt that huge. Also, the gogogo mentality of the brute is part of the fun in my opinion, i like it when im two pulls ahead of the group

Hi guys, I recently returned to the game. My SS/Inv brute was probably my favorite toon and is still a blast. Is there another build that feels similarly epic? Just running around smashing stuff with my wife's /kin in tow? I already have a dm/ and fire/fire.
-
Thanks for the feedback guys. I've decided to go with both. I'm leveling a Crab up with a friend, since i don't think id make it to 24 alone. Also got a plant/fire im working. After playing my fire/kin a little, figured I'd hold off on the fire/fire dom til a lil later. As far as playstyle for the plant/fire, am i looking at melee range, possibly with a stealth and seeds opener?

I'm coming back after a several year hiatus and looking at starting a new character. After browsing around, i think it's between a dom or VEAT. The villain epic classes weren't in game when i played last, so I dont know that much about them beyond the stuff ive read on these forums in the last couple of days. I've already posted in the dom forums about some powerset combos. Really, guess im looking for some input from people who have both. I've played mostly brutes and MMs. My MMs get kind of boring after a while, the brutes are fun, just looking for something different. Looking for something versatile for solo or group play with lots of flash. I'm thinking crab is probably my best bet as far as SoA go. Was also looking at an earth/fire or plant/fire dom. What do you guys enjoy the most or think i would be best off with? I should mention i dont have billions or even hundreds of millions of inf yet.
-
Returning after a long time (2007 i think). Ive mostly played melee and MM, i think i wanna make a dom or a crab, i cant decide. I dont have a large budget, so im looking for something thatll be decent out of the box and while i enjoy team content, i will be soloing or duoing with my wife's widow alot. Ive been reading alot of forum posts so i know about the great synergy of two VEATS.
Basically im looking at these options. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Crab or huntsman
ice/ice dom
fire/fire dom
earth/fire dom
plant/fire dom
I dont know much about the post 40 game as it wasnt around last i played. -
Is this information Correct? I did the respec mission @ level 33 so Can I (now that im a lvl 35) do the mission again and get another respec?
