OK, so after you install Windows 7, you put in the Apple install DVD and it updates the windows side with all the necessary drivers but apparently most are out of date.

Before i posted the original i had updated the NVIDIA driver to 266.58 (GeForce GT 330M)

After this i have updated the chipset from 9.1.1.1015 to 9.2.0.1021 (Intel 5 series)

And bootcamp had an update rom apple that i didnt have previously.

I already had everything from the windows update, only things left were optional language updates.

I am curious about the biggest difference between mine and my friends computer, i have an aftermarket SSD in. Since its aftermarket, maybe the apple CD didnt give it the necessary drivers?

The Firmware on the SSD is 1.25 and the update online is 1.24 (interesting?)

either way it turns out that SSD's are a major pain to update on macs. Everything talks about needing an NTFS formatted drive. I have that with windows on it but the updater utility they provide doesn't recognize the drive and the fixes for this issue are overwhelming and i feel unnecessary and dangerous.

The extremely good news is that my issue has been fixed with the other updates. I guess the chipset did the trick. I should have thought of it before that if the graphics werent updated properly by the disc, why should anything else be, i just didnt know where to look or what to update. Thanks guys!

As i said in the first line, i gave up on the Mac client because its not OSX native, just "adapted" and i have been experience the crashing issues that everyone else has along with laggy gameplay in certain areas so i went to the PC client to try and solve those issues (i was playing the pc client before the mac client came out anyway) but have been experiencing these problems instead. What i do know is that the Mac client issues probably wont be solved anytime soon while i know that my issues can be solved (because my friends computer with the relatively similar setup runs fine) and that is what i am trying to do here, because i am running the PC client in windows, it shouldnt have much to do with the fact that its a mac computer

I got a brand new MacBook Pro last month and i had been having issues running CoH on the Mac side as the program used to "adapt" CoH to OSX has issues with the Wine system and the game kept crashing every 15-20 minutes when in certain areas because the RAM overloads.

Anyway, so i boot camped my laptop and installed windows 7. Now when i run CoH the loading screens take forever and crashes just about the same amount of times as before. What will happen (if im lucky) is that whenever i enter a new zone, the blue art screen will appear an the bar wont load at all, then it will randomly pop over to the zone screen and the blue load bar will load to about 1/3 of the way and stop. It stays there for much too long and (again, if im lucky) if i hit the start button to bring up the task bar, it then finishes its load. Best case scenario, im in the zone after 1:30 seconds, much longer than usual and best case scenario rarely happens. what usually happens is i play a limbo between the frozen game and the windows task bar UI until something gives and either the game loads or crashes me out. when it crashes, it either just pops away and the game is gone, or it brings back the game screen and shows me in the doorway i clicked with a mapserv error and my wi-fi is actively searching for a connection.

The weirdest part is that my friend who is running almost the exact same setup is running fine. Her MBP is older than mine with lesser hardware but runs smooth. We both boot camped at the same time and i installed the same windows 7 on hers as i did mine.

Hers ran fine on the same network mine was having problems and after retesting on my home network, the issue isnt solved.

I'm running a Core i7 with 4g of ram and a nVidia GeForce GT 330m so there shouldnt be anything holding me back hardware wise.

I've been reading through the forums and such and nothing seems to help, i dropped all my graphics settings and even mimicked my friends exactly, but nothing helped.

I dont know what else to do. All i want to do is play the game but everything i have tried has had some major issue that makes it unplayable and i'm getting very frustrated.

please help!
