Yeah right .. me delete toons .. many of these have been part of my life for 7 years ... Knight Assasin was my first .. originally called Punnisher .. yup, I got nailed with the Generic73888216 .. but, he is my first .. and he will be my last .. I know its just a game .. but, it was awesome to live in a comic book for a few hours a week ..

Finally figured it out ..

Gotta run CoHLCD in compatibility mode for xp sp2
Juust in case, I'm also running HeroStats in xp sp2 mode as well

Got it working on vista and win7 that way

Well, I am running into a wall with this .. could use some help.

So I installed the new HeroStats 5.4.0.0
Then installed CoHLCD
I chose the CoHLCD on my keyboard, and it does show up as active
Do I need HeroStats running in the background or not ..
.. I've tried both ways, and I just have the CoHLCD splash screen only

I am running a Win7 64bit configuration

Any thoughts?

You see, I quite agree with the option of a filter system like this. I've been on-record here with that opinion for quite a while.

I'm not sure if I'd like for the spammers to know who they can and cannot spam though. If they waste time trying to spam people who have opted out, that's time wasted for them, unable to spam those that can recieve thier message.
I'm in favor of anything that effects the RMT'ers with the minimum effect possible on the legitimate users.

Here's an example:
My friend asked me to review his MA arc.
It was a lengthy arc with horrible grammar throughout, one poor choice of map and a few oddly-named NPCs. In order to corral all the things that needed to be fixed, I had to send 4 short-to-medium Emails.
Had his only way of avoiding RMTmail been to opt completely out of all Emails, I would have been unable to help him.

That would only happen if is e-mail was turned off, option 2. If he would have option 3, 4, and 5 toggled on, then he would only get the e-mails from those 3 areas, which would include you.

For the message back to the spammer, it basically sends a message, "We don't want your garbage". If they see how many e-mail blockings are there, perhaps they would give up.... well, until they figure out a way to spam again, then were back to the start.

OK .. I have searched topics, and even though some posts talk in general about this, I sure would like a definate answer to this ...

Every time I log on to my main,or other toons that I don't paly with as often, I get anywhere from 3 to 15 e-mail spams from various [censored] that are trying to make a quick buck. Sure, I do agree that this is something that will happen in most popular MMOs .. what I would like to know, is what is being done about this.

Its really getting out of hand. If I don't log my main for a few days, I get so many in-game e-mails about services that I really don't care about. I spend anywhere from 0 to 15 minutes, clicking on the mail spam button, then, since I know these accounts have been flagged and most likely have been deleted, I spend even more time deleting the global ignore accounts, since there is a limited amount of global ignores that can be managed at a time.

Seriously, I really don't want to spend my first 10 minutes in game managing my e-mails ..

So, with this, can anyone tell me that something is being done with this. It doesn't ruin the game for me, it just slaps around, the begining of a good run.

Not to mention that, in the middle of a SF or TF, my e-mail starts to glow red, and I must stop and check it, thinking it may be a friend that has a question or something. Very annoying!

Its a pain in the behind. So, again, I ask, is there someone out there that has an answer to my question .. Is there anything that is being done about this major violation of out beloved game?

Please don't flame me, I did search, but, I still can't find the info that I need.

As fun as the Double EXP weekend is, I wouldn't mind it being a little longer. I have my days off from work on Mondays and Tuesdays. It would be nice to extend the event to those days as well so I can take advantage of it too

Seriously .. if there is ZERO tollerence on this kinda crap .. why is it that 3 hours after I report www.pkp***.com .. i still get PMs from them .. even if I have them on global ignore .. If ignored .. shouldn't i NOT get any tells from that account?

This is out of hand .. and must be stopped .. we report .. we report .. and we get the generic message from NCSoft tha they are looking into the problem .. and OBVIOULSY .. nothing has been done! I know this because I still get the spam!

The online GMs should have the right to DELETE an account once its been proven that its being used for spaming .. and they should also delete all related IPs as well .. This spam MUST be stopped ..

You, NCSoft .. have the web sites . you have the IPs .. you have the account names .. get your high priced lawers .. and SUE these jerks!!! They violate your own ULA and do nothing about it! Time to deal with these jerks! Send a message now or else more will surface .. and make our lives miserable ..
