While reading through some of the posts on this board I ead a suggestion of putting a timer on someone that has died so that the toon would be transported to the hospital after a set period of time if they did not rez in some fashion beforehand. What happens to any that are sk'd to that toon? How are they compensated for their death? I don't think this is a good idea.
As for the range rules, I have been on several teams, all level 46-48, that have split up while hunting to get through a mission faster. Each has hunted in the area that was most suited to their level, and each risked damage. If, as I read it, they are more than 300 feet away from their mates, any xp from teammates would be forfiet. This violates the idea that this rule is set to make an individual risk damage to get xp, and wont get any if no risk is involved. Indeed, damage risk is involved in this case, but the player is penalized. Again I disagree that the xp range rules is a good solution.
I play this game because it is fun, and there is a lot of ways I can play, depending upon my mood. I was involved in PL'ing once by standing at the tram sk'd to another higher level toon, and decided it is not my cup of tea, so I do not do it anymore. My choice. I liked being in the action too much. I have sk'd my low level toons to high levels at times to level up a specific toon, but have been involved in the activities, indeed have died in them. This could be considered PLing as I advanced quickly. The toon I was doing this with will be used to exempt a higher level toon so we can do the low level task forces. Is this wrong? Will people find fault with that also? It is one of the things that the game is designed to allow, and it gives me and the ones I play with enjoment. Should I be penalized because I do it this way? Should I be penalized because someone does it a different way?
As for th folks that think that giving influence and enhancements to lower level characters is wrong, this game is designed to encourage teaming. A team helps eachother. I believe that this would apply to helping a lower level player getting the most out of their toon as early as possible. He/she is likely to repeat the favor later on. Is it wrong, or is it acting heroic and helping the little guy?
My two cents worth.
