Kadi looked around the small apartment of her friend Kittahs apartment without bothering to hide her dismay. She had been sent from the Otherworld, by the Druidess, as much for her own protection as to bolster Kittahs spirits and be of assistance.

Kadi was, at least genetically, Kittahs close sister. She too had been taken by those who wielded power and used it to corrupt others without caring what the end result would be. She had been named after a godess of Justice, and spent much of her time there as well.
But she had a more positive attitude in general even if the European employer she had escaped was still looking for her. In the OtherWorld, she had been an Exile, a freak. Here, her powers were fantastic, even considered heroic by some. She straightened up and cracked her back, scowling at Kittah. Why are you SO MOPEY? she asked her. At least here they were free, and accepted by others who were even similar in nature. And the Darkness

I am not sure what it is Kadi. Kittah finally admitted, shrugging her shoulders. I have many dreams, dreams of memories of a time that I have no memory of when I am awake. Kadi averted her eyes, because she knew what dreams Kittah must be having. She tried to reassure her sister, but Kittah shook her head.
And there is someone . . . Someone that I miss so badly. But I have no idea who this person is
And she stared at Kadi with wide eyes. It troubles me greatly Kadi
Kadi was uneasy. She knew but could not speak, not to Kittah at least. And as soon as Kittah went out, she set about the task of contacting the Dridess.
